nice to see you and the car back with us. I believe it always looked after very well by Joe.

I've just traded in and they look to make money both ways, on your new car and the resell of your old one. Just the way it is and why they are called stealers

Yoko A048's are not good in the wet - Found out Today!
steve_b replied to Kev946's topic in Other Cars
I have one set of 48 fronts which makes it sit high.... Normally use CR500's or the true Avon slicks (not really for wet weather.) Not heard much good news about 888 but ask around on Seloc and will get good advice. Do have someones old 32's in the garage but not much use to you as 13inch. PS Randy is selling his car http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... eName=STRK -
They will be remapping them soon. There is ones for the 335i to take it to 384bhp, 570 NM for just an extra £1000. http://for-wheels.blogspot.com/2007/12/ ... d-ecu.html Get that and real diff and it would be a rocketship at well below 5 secs to 62. I had a 24 hour test drive with one of those bad boys - true the power is there and yes it is delivered in linear fashion but could you live with no back end out fun?! Also the cockpit is very narrow and cramped as is the seats. If it were not for the latter I would have had one!

Appeared on another mota forum I use.....just thought it would be useful for the roadster owners on here when they are looking for a change.

Kev almost everyone on LoT uses them. They are bad in very wet but most drive okay when just a wet track. they are the control tyre for the race series. When not much tread left they are real bad, ie, I can overtake Steve Williams on a motorway when driving a astra and towing at the same time...... be careful if they low. May also be worth checking pressures. -
Looking one going from Caversham down the A33 towards M4. I was in the beemer estate so no point in waving as you would have thought I was an ar5e.

3 months on 07 (313- angry fedup and thinking of getting rid

I had warrenty work done on mine (first change of gearbox internals) and they gave me a Pug 406. Not quite the same car but better than being without one. Ask them to get you a hire. They then bill it back to Nissan. -
Chaps, nothing wrong with BMW drivers, before the Zed I had a Merc CLK and did not think much about that. There is normally a reason someone buys a car and this time it was because I needed to tow a proper car. Cannot do that with a Zed and best bet turned out to be a 5 series. Its not saying "I have" or "have not made it", its saying I can find a car that delivers what I want it too, nothing more. Possibly also saying I am older than most of you...... Just to clear up the m badge, over 50% of 5's i looked at wore a "M" sports badge. Just thing of it as the equivalent of the Nismo kit fitted on the Zed. Only its not just body kit, it gives the lowering of 15mm at the same timea dn better wheels. Not everyone is pretending to be in a M3 or M5, honest. Best way to tell if a BMW is going to bother a Zed is look for 4 exhausts, if it has one its a 2ltr, if its 2 then its anything below a M3 or M5. If its a going past you in a straight line with lots of smoke coming out the back then its likely to be a remapped diesel with 506lb/ft http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarr ... eries.html

To add to my comments, the likelihood is that less than 50 would be imported. That number would like be thru multiple agents. IF they could stop it I am sure people will find a way around it by the person who is going to own it eventually to purchase directly from the JPN or NA owner and they take commision as a finders fee. They will not be able to stop it, if there is a way for people to make money, people will make money, simple. If you ask me this does not but harm NMGB reputation showing they are deliberately hindering the customer base. Remember this is not Sony and Levi with 1,000,000 customer. This is going an install base of say 500 cars a year and if they cannot get it then things like a R8 will become an easy option. Think this car is great, great for Nissan World wide so why not get it shipped here ASAP

Do not know about that case, but I work in the software industry now, you can prohibit people selling/buying/using software since you do not actual buy software, only buy a license to use it. Every time you install a piece of software you would normal have to agree to its terms. BUT a car is owned, its NOT a "lincense to use". And when you buy from an importer who owns it at that time then its yours to do what you want. Therefore if I did buy it then I would be doing nothing wrong and nissan gb could not touch me, and I cannot see why they could touch the importer. As been said before on this matter, if this was true and every car manufacturer could up hold it, why are so many other cars imported before released here. Was the FTO ever released in the UK, sure there must be many more examples. Would love to see them try, would cost them so much and the case would not be finished before the release of the car in UK therefore would get thrown out at that time. Also if it comes out anywhere in Europe before Britain then you EU law would stop them trying to ban it as you need freedom to trade across borders. Still think is bollox and scare scaremongering. Not quite true. If you imported it as an individual then you would probably get away with it but Nissan could stop you trying to sell it in this country, especially before its released. Exactly this happened with the PS3's Sony was able to get the sale of imports banned. Can't remember which law they used buy I know if they want to they can stop it. Once its available in the UK its slightly different

Never seen the under carriage go through a wing before. (used to be aircraft engineer). Have seen aircraft hit the ground badly but normally just kills the components not push them thru so must have been heavy or they dug into the ground and the plane tried to carry on ripping things apart. Normally tell people that is best place to sit, strongest part of the plane to carry under-carriage and lots of strengthening frames for fuel tank area. PS would not have wanted to driving round the road at the time as has a new dimension to "low flying aircraft"

Was looking around to see what it would be and max is £20k. Problem is doing the research got me looking at http://www.fastroadandtrack.co.uk/ and makes me want an ex-F1 or a Radical again.

Go back now take a Z4M out and cane it, will give them a fright, then jump back into the lambo and thank them for their time. If you just want a smile but not buy, I would suggest taking out a 135i, not driven it but would think its performance would be better than a zed.

Not to encourage you to swap for a BMW as very different cars to a Zed, BUT If you are thinking about it then might be a good tome to visit BMW dealers. I am getting daily calls from dealers I visited when looking for a car, now have 3-4 garages following up 3-4 times each to see if they could help me out. Either their customer service is excellent or they are desperate to move stock on, either way not a bad thing if you are in the market place.

must have history for that price. John K might know as I think he used to drive them.

top wheels look like a bit of rip-off from the M6 but with bigger spacing between posts. http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showth ... ?p=1007931 as it happens just what I want on my new car as they look great.

Did not think this could happen anymore with automatic landing systems. Hope everyone comes out okay. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7194086.stm

Thats gots to be bollox as they cannot stop joe bloggs importing, even if a cmpany was to buy 10 of them in JPN and export then they are only selling something they own, as IMHO 99% of exports are used/nearly new they cannot stop people selling something that is owned. As for the pony about you can only buy if you keep for 3 years, think they would have no chance of prosecuting over that, you could come up with 101 reason why you needed to sell, and they would have to put it into a legally binding contract up front as a term of the sale. Just do not see that being likely to happen. If there was something in the contract then it could be with Nissan JPN being offered first dibs on it and if they could not agree price then Nissan would have to let them sell it privately. This MAY just be marketing hype from NMGB to try and fool people into thinging that importing is a bad thing as they just want to make money themselves. do not know if that is true but is what I believe likely to be the case. Nissan GB is such a small market place for Nissan worldwide I cannot see Nissan JPN or NA being bothered about them being exported...therefore only british laws to get in the way and cannot see the UK prohibiting you buying/selling second hand goods. Come on importers, get a few into the UK as would love to see one in the flesh and on track giving it some beans. the car looks great.

From the side the rear end looked like an elise, but from the pic above it looks terrible. Not so sure now.
