  1. will tell you the whole amount once it's fully fitted mate. plus I've been doing a lot of prepping work myself so that would not be very reflective of the price you would prob pay at a bodyshop not much btw
  2. PS last month's article doesn't contain any "interesting facts" really...if you read these forums regularly, you'll know everything already (and probably you'll spot the same inaccuracies that I spotted
  3. oh yeah always wanted to mention it then forgot (I think? ) when I got my copy, being a subscriber. Just rectifying a few errors on the main article and this site gets mentioned too Thanks to the Editor for replying to my email so quickly too
  4. you don't know what you are missing, foie gras is delicious and so is veal. I love good food, and imo there really isn't much difference bwtween this and eating an egg produced by a chicken who's been living in a battery farm all its life tbh. What about those cows or pigs raised in such poor conditions where they can't even turn around, such is lack of space? Do you know where all the food you buy comes from? where do you draw the line?
  5. because like every Zed's boot plastics (and most interior plastics) they are made of shite and they scratch just looking at them. Wait and see
  6. at least it's not going to be scratched to death like yours in a few months
  7. for a start who said it's a heavier bonnet? I said they do feel similar, but haven't weighed them yet. You got other substantial info yourself? secondly wanna bet that in the summer the vents are going to be doing exactly what they are supposed to be? easy to check, you'll see the engine heat coming out of them... (already been proven n the US, btw) PS wanna bet my Z is well lighter than yours (bog standard, I might add ) ?
  8. black one looks really good imo. Rusty is well... rusty. Not much you can do to improve it
  9. ok guys nearly time to start booking this one! (bloody hell doesn't time fly when you are having fun? ) prices are on page one. I will need your full name, money, confirm if you bring a passenger or not, a picture of your Z and your registration number.
  10. Has this been verified in a wind tunnel? The front vent seems quite small, and don't presume that because there is a hole in the bonnet which is fully in the wind that the air automatically gets "pushed" into that hole when driving fast. yeah i have a wind tunnel behind my shed at home, can confim 100% all vents present are actually into atmosphere, I will put a very fine mesh there though, in order to minimise water ingress.
  11. it's the new JDM look, 2 tone (one of which is gelcoat )
  12. above the tail pipes is just dirt. Try some scratch X from Meguiars, or claybar. the greeny tints I have no idea
  13. repost but nice PS it's missing the end bit where after the policeman drives away, he drifts around the hospital roundabout

    Nismo Kit

well I sold both on but both in damaged conditions and for a very reasonable sum, as they would involve a little repair to look good again.
  15. mostly yes, the vents should cool the engine down more than the closed bonnet, though. Especially the front and rear vent should allow for more cool air to flow in the engine bay and hot air to get out from the back vent. But yeah, I just do it because I like it

    Nismo Kit

highly doubt about aerodynamic benefits, the Nismo V1 kit was designed for a playstation game ffs! Pics of my car with the front lip on are in my gallery mate
  17. haven't weighed them yet, will do once the new one is ready to go on, but the first impression is.... not much lighter at all. OEM bonnet is aluminium, and yesterday I did notice how light it was when taking it off the car.

The rears yes are just add-ons. The front there are various options depending on which market they are for I can't remember which is which but Val knows. I think the USA is just a add-on lip and the JDM is a full bumper. Sorry can't be more specific send Val (Minel) a PM. correct the problem I have personally found with lips is that they lower the ground clearance even more, usually. And that's not good if you have a lowered car already, but mine was giving me clearance issues when I wasn't lowered too.
  19. Good luck matey - I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about after 10yrs. I'm in a similar predicament (8yrs), but not sure about another country. I'm absolutely fine with it, but she might want something in this country with family and friends. (personally, i'd like to keep it low key - after all, we're pretty much married anyway!) Is it just you two, or are you taking any close family out for the cermony? Maybe a bash when you get back? Maldives guy for proposing: bloody hell what are you going to do for honeymoon?
  20. Thanks mate, I have already moved the catch as high up as possible but measuring the metal latches on the 2 bonnets I can see why it doesn't catch properly. OEM is slighly over 2.5cm and the new one is slightly shorter than 2.5cm. It just doesn't reach deep enough to catch the locking mechanism Will have to have a think on what I can do short of asking the bodyshop to make the latch slightly longer, somehow
  21. if you are in the NW area I can recommend Denttec in Warrington
  22. today I managed to trial fit the bonnet. it doesn't latch properly it seems as if the metal hook attached to the bonnet is not long enough to latch correctly! will have to see if the bodyshop can make it any longer I also installed the Aerocatch bonnet pins, not easy but I managed. couple of pics
  23. a dent removal guy should be able to sort it, with no fuss. £50 ish?
  24. steve I'm sure people will buy the tickets, give them a chance to get organised! I'll get my ticket soon
