  1. changing pads is actually quite straightforward not sure about the disks
  2. but I take ownership to it since the company who did it is italian like me!
  3. np, surely others will be along soon
  4. clutches: a few stories of early worn clutches, as far as I know noone has managed to get replaced under warranty, but they should have been brakes: lots of aftermarket parts which might as well be BETTER than oem ones. a few examples, Project MU, hawk, ebc pads (lots of view and preferences) and disks like ROTORA, Brembo itself etc etc might as well go for slotted ones if you have to change them odd periodic vibration..... no idea especially if it comes from the back: could b the exhaust touching somewhere a low speeds, could be tyre feathering if coming from the front wheels (see our forum for known issues)
  5. Since in my plates I had the address of the now defunct site, I thought I'd better update the plates with this address.... good old www.fancyplates.com obliged! I can recommend them, used them more than once (lost plate, broken etc) and they really do quality stuff! so go on, treat your Z to a set of plates with our address on it!

  13. Across the pond they manged this as well.... "Ok so I finally tackled this swap of my seats. The seats fit perfect in the coupe and the bolt pattern is exactly the same as the roadster. The only thing that does not work is the option to tilt the seat up or down on the passenger side but the ZR has this option. The coupe as you know has a quick manual release handle to tilt the passenger seat up or down. When we took out the ZR seats we had to tilt the seat forward and forgot to tilt them back down to remove the bolts on the rear of the seat. As of now I do not have any way to tilt the passenger seat back down other than taking the seat out and reconnecting it to the ZR and then using the power tilt to straighten the seat out. The seats are a little more difficult to remove and replace due to the headrest not being able to remove from the seat. We kept the electrical box under the ZR but maybe that is what I may need to use the power tilt back operation or maybe the proper harness to use the power option ( JASON any ideas on this ). Overall the hardest part was just reconnecting the wire harnesses back the way they came and comparing the differences from both wiring harnesses..."
  14. "Gemballa legendary porsche tuner has created a full conversion for the Porsche Carrera GT. Gemballa's Carrera GT customers look to improve the arguably perfect GT through and extensive reworking performed by gemballa's top tuning engineers. Gemballa can do a stellar job at this for the nominal fee of $1,800,000. Did I mention that you need to buy the Carrera GT first? The car is the cheap part at $440,000. So what do you get for more than $2,000,000? One of the fastest and most exclusive cars in the world. Zero to 60 in under 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 250mph to be specific. The Carrera is reworked into the Gemballa Mirage GT, a hard-topped, gull-winged, 1000hp twin turbo, dry carbon bodied monster. The body work is all wind tunnel tested and has been tuned so efficiently that even the mirrors were removed and in place are small side-mounted cameras that feed the rear-view information to the interiors multiple monitors." taken from Modified Mag.
