lmao I'm sure it's the way you drive the car: ie if you always drive it normally, the ECU is in normal mode, if you then drive it aggressively, the ECU gradually switches into aggressive mode. Don't think it's a quick thing

and me in fact I think i was the first one ever to have them on over here IIRC. had them on for at least 14 months and look like new, unlike the black plastic bit which was scratched after a couple of washes

The UTEC essentially lets you run an "aggressive" mode all the time and gives you full control over the engine. The UTEC also has some safety measure that I dont believe other EMUs have. It detects engine knock and pulls timing to prevent engine damage immediately. I have experienced this first hand. It feel liks someone hits the brakes.
