    Toyo Tyres

still wobblier than the RE040's though
  2. http://www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_ ... JV0X-9CwcY the only wrestling you'll ever see around here :teeth:
  3. and for panel filters, not even that is true. At the first NW dyno day we proved just that, with a Nismo and a K&N panel filter. Neither of them gave ANY extra hp whatsoever
  4. You kid me. You obviously don't have a fine ear for it then mate. That and probably a tin top to insulate you from everything I did say there was not a big difference, but I assure you there is both a difference/increase in both pull and noise. placebo effect in its purest state butt-dyno is your experience. What else have you got to prove it? I have butt-dyno experience, and multiple dyno pulls to which I was present personally. The Nismo (and K&N) drop -in filters do NOT add any HP whatsoever. (And don't change the noise either)
  5. in the US GTM and FP even pick your car up for free, and pay for your plane ticket to go pick it up again (US only offer though ) Guys, one thing to bear in mind for all those starting to think about doing similar stuff, is that with radical modifications like these, reliability will invariably decrease exponentially. By this I don't mean the car is going to blow up, but be prepared to have to go back "frequently" for things that can, and probably will, go wrong, be them minor stuff, niggles, etc. Also, a minimum knowledge of how a FI car works is imo highly recommended, as if you haven't got a clue about what all those gauges do and mean.. you might miss vital stuff that could save your engine from blowing up if noticed early on
  6. he's covered all angles as far as I can see, fuel system, driveshafts, cluth... thoroughly researched, well done £20K minimum is my guess
  7. B)B) nice one mate! £20k to 25k?
  8. oooooooooo will have to try it then!
  9. it is marginally slower, but a very good auto box, imo. Not sure of the "official" figures but I'd say 0.3-4/sec slower to 60?
  10. the only part I was worried about was the engine cover, but the rest of the plastics won't get hot and I just used standard cans mate. I got the engine cover done by a bodyshop although in hindsight I think it would be ok with std paint too.
  11. mate not being funny but you've been putting your name down for every single meet we've had and nobody's seen you turning up yet Are you putting your name down just for the fun of it? Scotland-SW? If you turn up I'll personally pay you £10. If you don't.....
  12. tweed jacket and all that!
  13. tell you what though... when people say... "more money than sense"..... I think they made this phrase up for Baptist Ah well lucky him that has got tens of thousands of pounds to play like this! If you think about it, this is Z nr 2 for him. He got the APS TT and installed. THEN he opened it up to do the internals. THEN this. WTF? Consider that if he's done 7k miles on that block... the ££Â£/mile ratio must be ridiculously high! As in, doesn't even enjoy the car with all the stuff he puts on?
  14. I'll give you mine for free mate... it's used but still... PS you won't notice or hear any difference whatsoever
  15. the Zed's engine is well good for 200k miles easily.... guys in the US are on 100k miles with no issues.... that car is a bargain PLUS when and if it lets go.... perfect excuse for forged internals and TT
  16. Tell that 'h' to get back in its proper place tell that time machine to go back 20 years... oh sorry, not possible same as above, only good when behind a keyboard
  17. sarnie is only good when he's behind a keyboard.. when you meet him he's all quiet
  18. just managed to haggle my own renewal quote stuffing it to the good lads at Adrian Flux Last year's quote £906 (all mods insured and covered like for like) This year's with 1 extra NCB £931 (taking the ****? ok then...) Went comparing and got a cheaper one for £770 (mods not included) Went back to Adrian Flux telling them that I would have swapped.... they promptly lowered their renewal to... £760 (all mods included, and covered like for like). Saving £160 Just goes to show that they try it on sooo much!
  19. well the title of the thread does say NORWAY.....
  20. that's what they say on the Other Channel and they claim the info to be from sources very high in Nissan, how much of that is bullshit I wouldn't know though
  21. been to Tunisia for a week, loved it. Sfax is famous for their Olive Oil, so buy some cheap to bring back home and enjoy: like the proper Italian stuff (not the one we import here... ) it's miles better than what we can find here. how long for? we went to the Sahara, to the Troglodytes' caves, oasis, and more in 3 days! was really good
  22. was told by RJN he was thinking about cams? he should have put them on when he opened the engine for the internals.. since really if you want cams you'd have to open it up again (engine out etc...) I tell you what he's got planned: he'll do exactly what I will want to do when I have the money: get GTM to build his engine with their 4.2L stroker kit and APS Extreme TT kit, like the one in NitrouZ on my350Z. Otherwise why would he want to keep the UTEC anyway? If he wanted to put it back to standard, he wouldn't need that. PS what's happening to the block that comes from the buyer's car?
