GT Battle: D1GP UK + time attack 20/08/2006 round 4
Removed replied to Removed's topic in Meets, Shows and Events
D1 and Time Attack - starting May 2006. Get your Club noticed and book a free stand for your cars and your club. Following on from the GT Battle event in 2005 where Time Attack appeared for the first time in Europe, we are pleased to announce the formation of a full Time Attack Series for 2006! Entrants race against the clock to set the quickest timed lap around a circuit under Time Attack conditions. Unlike sprinting, Time Attack uses the full circuit, providing full lap results from a ‘flying start ‘ where competitors drive on the edge and beyond to set lap records under professional conditions and at major recognised circuits. Following on from the first ever and hugely successful D1GP exhibition match, held on the 2nd of October 2005 at Silverstone - 2006 will see the first ever D1 National Championship {D1GB} which will be held in the UK – backed by the D1 Corporation. In 2005 the D1 Corporation has had a busy year in the UK with shows and promotional features such as BBC Top Gear, event demonstration at circuits such as Silverstone, Rockingham and Mondello Park as well major media interest such as the Daily Telegraphs’ motoring front page stories and countless magazine and video features all over Europe, all in preparation for the permanent arrival of the sport in 2006. The D1GB will be held in the UK over six point scoring rounds at premier race circuit locations, kicking off in April with a pre-season test, licensing and media day at Downingtown race circuit on the 15/16th April 2006 for a media and test day at Donnington where teams and drivers will be able shake down their cars for the first time this year in preparation for Round 1 in May. The D1GB and Time Attack Series will run from May to October. The Time Attack grid divided into three classes: Front Wheel Drive, Rear Wheel Drive and Four Wheel Drive. You can be there! We have arranged privileged parking for Car Clubs and discounted ticket prices for you members. So, if you want to be there and to show of your cars and your club let us know. Send a reply e-mail and we wills end you all the details of this years D1 and Time Attack Series. See you there! http://www.d1gb.co.uk/ http://www.timeattack.co.uk/ Round 1 - May 28th (Sun) Rockingham Round 2 - June 17th (Sat) Silverstone (National) Round 3 - July 2nd (Sun) Rockingham Round 4 - August 20th (Sun) Silverstone (National) Round 5 - September 17th (Sun) Rockingham Round 6 - October 1st (Sun) Silverstone (National) Claire Williams -
Lifted from another forum.... poor owner somehow managed to park it quite artistically! Shame about the damage though

Some pictures from Amsterdam last month. They took their D1GB 350Z to display The Runduce Time Attack Evo from Japan was on display too which now resides in Switzerland with Jacky and Kiesa : As was Jacky's D1GB liveried car, the Jap spec/built S15 I'll have to get round to contact Andy barnes @ SUMO and let him know we exist, on here

have it already mate, getting it back from the bodyshop tomorrow should have told your friend to contact me on here, I got a great price from Emanuele and delivered in 2 weeks Dyno must have been way off mate, especially compared to the 2005 NW dyno day Plus it didnt even give the WHP, just some estimates on the BHP, so god knows how they calculated it basically wasted £30 but hopefully according to the organisers a part of that money will go to Charity so, it's all good FI mate is on the cards, I'm in for the long run anyway, but with a wedding to save towards (sooner or later will have to happen otherwise Debbie will justifiably tell me to **** off provisional year 2008...) it is not going to be in the near future. Plus when I do it, I'm gonna do it properly, like everything I do in life Not just slap a TT on it oh no.....

Couldn't see how to. Only can see my albums not forums to put them into i meant on the motorway for the pics, let me know when you are finished uploading here, I'll put them in the gallery then delete them from here and put a link

hello all!!!!!!!!!! was a GREAT DAY! :yahoo: enjoyed every minute of it, even the early (VERY) drive, meet with Mike (M13KYF), and then Mark (MAX) and misses No shows: Jacko and Kuro (organiser! ) shame, you missed a great day out for a great cause! So, 3 members in all, representing our Club. We had a good chat with Mike Brewer, who LOVES the 350Z, he tested lots of tyres for Nissan when they were developing the 350Z together with other journalists in 2002 before the UK launch, they chose TOYOS, but apparently Nissan couldn't go with them! So we ended up with the RE040s He loved the cars, we got a mention off him when he was presenting the prizes for the day, but sadly noone won I then attempted a Rolling Road session on the Mobile one they had there (apparently the same guys that did the Northwich OC NW rolling road session). First run the guy let off @ 5300RPMs the weirdo, so I told him to let it bounce off the rev limiter, in the second run, but apparently heat soak was already a factor according to them. also said the other Zs did come out with more or less the same numbers as mine... Anyway, after plenum, intake, cats and exhaust (and after rolling in 2005 at the NW dyno day 274 @ the crank and 237@ the wheels) I now push......... 244,9BHP at the crank! according to them! Now I definitely don't think my car lost 30bhp with my mods, I'd feel it. Even on the way back, the ehm "runs" with Mike's standard Z were definitely even (if not edging in my favour, despite bouncing off the REV limiter a couple of gears ) so........ bottom line is....... WE NEED THE UTEC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pics here http://www.350z-uk.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=48
