  1. too early for us though, debbie can't get out of the course she's doing before 4.30... then we need to go back home and get both cars (I'll have loaded the yaris during the day, then gone to pick debbie up when she finishes, it's in the city centre though.... fearing traffic everywhere
  2. you dropping out as well? or just out of the competition???
  3. you should do mate, bloody expensive wheels! and lovely!
  4. ok guys, seen as noone is going down the M6 on friday (Mike is leaving eariler) no point in tempting fate from my part either, joining Jacko across the pennines, Liam you coming with us?
  5. strange though that only on a specific set of volks, you can't use mcgard for locking wheel nuts... on mine, of course std wheel nuts and also the mcgards that come with the car won't fit, due to the completely different size of the holes! but you can still buy mcgards that fit through those holes.
  6. nope, explain? ie i use the read new posts button, then after reading a thread, it stays flagged as unread? nope, that'll be confusing as hell imo
  7. Surely it can be fixed as on the otherside unread threads are clearly indicated with square different softwares????
  8. as far as I can remember, yes. Someone correct me if they mentioned it to me but I forgot? maybe Nick mentioned it too? can't remember as I was convinced there wouldn't be a problem with the entries? and yah you need to be there on the sunday too... also: apparently they are the same rules as last year (according to the organisers) and last year we had a 30 car plot...
  9. No it isnt. You need the ones that are specifically made by Volks for the GT series wheels. I'll get you some pictures when I get a minute, Jacko. Took me a while to track these down, nobody keeps them in stock (or didnt when i bought them) in the US. But they can be sourced. Like I say, I'll get you more details tomorrow. so what you are saying is that NO mcgards will fit volk gt series wheels???
  10. I just dont log on when i know for a fact I won't have time to read all the threads.... the forum is getting busier, and the threads to read are many more than when we started... not sure it can be fixed guys, see what Chris says
  11. can't a Scottish owner lend you some bolts??
  12. ok guys APOLOGIES but this is my fault. I finally had the time to trawl through the JAE forum and found out that: depending on how many cars we bring, we are assigned x number of spaces for the show n shine competition. I received ONE form. Kev has expressed his interest in participating, from the beginning. I am ok with letting him participate, but thought I'd put it to the members to decide. I was under the impression that we could have more entries, as last year unfortunately it was all hush hush (we had 30 cars booked and apparently the entry form was for one car only, which Giles decided not to divulge to anyone and put his own car forward, unilaterally...) and I hadn't got a clue on how it all actually worked. more info here: http://www.japcarclub.com/jae/forums/in ... wtopic=415 views, comments, any other parties interested? PS I even photocopied the forms today... PPS entry forms ned to be at the admin office by 10am on the saturday, so whoever we choose to represent us, will need to be present! I am one of the judges (I did it last year too, just volunteered) and will be judging Hondas Also NISSANS will be in at 3.30PM according to the latest info I have.
  13. that's a bit quick... good job they had that deserted straight road uh?
  14. McGard is what you are looking for Jacko.... I have a set of locking wheel nuts from mcgard on my wheels, but what you need to be careful with is the size of the nuts, mine are skinnier than oem ones for example Also my Work nuts have an adapter that slots into the tool we have on the Z to take the oem nuts off
  15. from experience, 7pm will be a more realistic time.... all will depend on how busy it's gonna be down the M6 though. would be nice for the meal.... anyone knows some place? don't forget it's friday night and there'll be 6000 cars at JAE, how many other people are gonna have the same idea? would be best to find a place and book really...
  16. that's true but for that price from nissan you'd EXPECT real CF
  17. don't expect real cf though, the Nissan one is CF look

yeah, problem is though that different zosts will sit differently through the valance... you can't just make a standard one you see
  19. just got the day off too! but will have to wait for debbie to get out of an H&S course, but by then we'll all be ready to leave! Should be ok to leave at 4.30pm. I'm also concerned about the M6 south although as I sd before I've done it basically every friday on the other direction (the real nightmare) and have always thought that the southbound carriageways are always ok! so I think for us it'll be: M6 south off at J15, then A50 across, met at Donny services then onto peterborough
  20. wow it'd be great if they built it, looks awesome!

and look at Stephen's solution, of not putting anything there instead. Make your choice, how cool would it be to have a CF panel on there? does CF resist heat from the zorst?
