  1. yeah glad people are using them, I know I am :teeth:
  2. I'm assuming you are talking for another date other than the 10th then seeing as thats the date we all at the Bildworth Zedfest meet? ehm I think Bluffy wanted to organise something together with that
  3. Photoshop! Its the superdooper wax finish effect Ahhh, a lot like Val's on the Meguiars shots negative, you should see my camera and my photoshop abilities equate to about zero
  4. hmmmmmmm nice deal! but yeah you are right! although if you wanted to do internals as well.... that would get rid of the uncertainty!
  5. considering all the work we are throwing his way, he should grace us with his presence here a bit more often though

  7. take the plastic cover off the back of the boot and you'll see it. just unscrew it. Not that it made much difference to mine, still falls on my head
  8. for whoever doesn't know, that is the full Veilside V3 kit, minus the wide arches. I say the kit looks awesome on our Azure!
  9. have a look on the Veilside USA website, they sell all sorts of badges, in different stones etc, look HOT! $80 ish mind
  10. About right, although you wouldnt have it last time i told you that, Val! $13K plus VAT plus Customs + TT + other bits plus labour, yeah make it £20k+
  11. isn't what used to be G-Force? they went bust recently afaik. PS the price you are getting charged for fitting the delimiter had better include the delimiter itself, as it's waaaay too high!
  12. been to see them a couple of times, they are nice guys and alwyas willing to help!

same for me and suspension a few unforeseen issues witt the plenum that I'm swapping as well.. should be all sorted in time for the visit to Kev's!
  14. awesome Andy! PS you are missing the Veilside Badges
  15. the 06's apart from having a different grille (less stripes) they have a different type of plastic, which looks like it's coloured! Looks nice. Why not spray it, but metallic black? so you don't lose the meanness and still get rid of the cheap plastic
  16. agree on what Dorian said. Another option would be to get a crated engine (already rebuilt) from the US (top spec, long block, ready to get the TT slapped on it and put back into the car) for about $13k plus shipping, VAT and customs and your block sent back, then you'd need a proper fuel system, clutch, suspensione and wheels. You'd then be able to go beyond the 500 number, well beyond. Mind you, over 600hp apparently traction is the issue, so not much point apart from bragging rights. And the £20k mark is about right for what I know.
  17. plastic doesn't conduct heat afaik... certaintly doesn't conduct as much as aluminium, that's for sure. The type of plastic they used is supposed to withstand engine bay heat, that's the whole point... otherwise how could they market this type of product? Since there's been other cases of this type of failure, this is a classic case of their product failing. The pics of another product doing exactly what mine has done, were of a non painted product, further strenghtening my case. Also, as they have been posting on my350z since the beginning, and saw a large amount of their plenums being painted, if they had received a lot of complaints due to them melting (which they haven't, it's a rare issue) they should have started putting warnings in their instruction packs NOT TO PAINT. Which they haven't. And mine is a recent version of the plenum, just 1 version behind the latest. To be honest, their product on paper is the perfect plenum: retains the oem strut bar, retains the engine cover, saves on quite a lot of weight, adds HP etc. And up to now I was very happy with the product.
  18. I thought you were a forum veteran!
  19. same with gliptone 2 products: cleanr and conditioner. great stuff
  20. location still in essex then Steve?
  21. search harder honestly how can you say nothing? I just put UTEC into the search and got about 3 pages full of threads mate.... here's one to get you started http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... light=utec
  22. well then if it was the paint's fault (i can't believe you lot are actually suggesting this ) there should be some thousands owners in the US with the same issue, having colour coded the plenum, since the very first versions that came out. And as i said before, any reaction would have showed straight after or soon after colourcoding it/fitting it. it's been on for months. I bet the hotter than normal weather is to blame (causing higher than normal engine bay temperatures) to be honest. Still, this should not have happened. Kinetix haven't got in contact yet. Rang them about 5 times yesterday (California times, exactly the times they state they are open) left message, sent email. Let's see how good their Customer Service is.
