  1. yes, so that they don't have to read drivel derived by people like you wanting to argue over the internet. when you'll want to talk about cars (which I understand is what you are mostly about when you are in a good mood) then there won't be any need to lock threads. I am sorry i have no time to argue over the internet with you baptist.
  2. that's a fair comment Bap, surely Chris could tweak that, I have no problems with that. On the thread you are moaning about, the only thing I edited was on the last post I made comment saying to you to go back to work. I haven't deleted anything you posted, you can demonstrate how mature you are by yourself. still you are clutching at straws already...
  3. nope, until I realised that people like you when you are in "argument" mode don't deserve my time, nor the webspace of this place. Let's see how long it take for you to call me childish or some other names again on this thread, and let's see how long it lasts...
  4. if you create a thread, you have the right to ask for its deletion or having it locked down if people like you are trying to steer it way offtopic or stir up arguments. I have done so instead of asking another mod to do since I can do it myself. And yeah, it was my own thread and it had veered well away fromt the topic. if you want to argue online, go somewhere else. You calling me a c*nt then taking it personally because I responded, then calling me childish over and over again strengthens my position. I shall repeat: if you like to argue over the internet, this is not the place to do it.
  5. i didn't insult you mate, clearly you are in a bad mood, locking this It is my thread after all
  6. if I was childish i would have banned your arse a while back then what would you have done all day on the rig? I know, Manola, la mano che consola!
  7. cheers mate, let us know how much
  8. it's just the forum filter mate, as you used **** and got filtered, I used d*ck as in clever d*ck. So no, I'm not calling you names, no need for that. did you know the forum doesn't filter italian swearwords? look, testa di cazzo now I'd like to go back on topic, cheers mate it's been entertaining
  9. Pete mate, not all boxes have suffered from this, you might have a good one?
  10. don't get stroppy with me, d*ck show us when you are done, and back with your feet firmly on land
  11. oops thought it was a new one...
  12. yes do! I had second P1 done there, although I did tell them not to do the brake fluid (27miles) and i supplied my own oil £102 incl Vat IIRC! Dave will match the prices of other dealers, so ring him last, plus tell him about the site and that i sent you there
  13. hold on mate, oem brakes are not 4 pots are they? brembos are 4 pots, preformance has got to be better than your cheapo ones
  14. trying to remember... was probably in the mid 20k miles region...
  15. I better start from the beginning: it all started in February 06 when during a Midlands meet and some spirited driving, my geabox failed to engage 6th gear from fourth, at high rpms. It was actually a bit scary, i had my clutch pedal fully depressed. it didn't crunch, it just wouldn't engange! since the speed was quite high, that was a bit of a safety issue too, although after a few tries of putting it into neutral and re engaging, the gear went in. It then started to play up every once in a while, but never really crunching. Since I'd been away from home during the week until mid July, I hadn't had the chance to go to a Dealer's to report it until mid may (especially for the issue) . the dealer is Lockwood and Greenwood Nissan in Ashton under Lyne, they also have a Subaru delaership next door. They saw the car twice, and acknowledged the box was difficult to engage, although it had never crunched, but they still said they'd report it to NMGB. I didn't hear anything for a few weeks, and one morning the box started to CRUNCH every time I changed gear over 4000rpms from 3rd to 6th or 4th to 6th. That was proper crunching with the clutch pedal fully depressed. I knew my synchros were grinding away. i was about to contact the dealer again, but they rang me first! Dave is the Service manager there. They had a brand new gearbox waiting for me, WITH UPDATED SYNCHROS.... (i.e. the previous ones were not up to the job, it was acknowledged...) In the last couple of days they swapped over my box with the new one, under warranty. It now feels a bit tight but I guess is to be expected since it's new, will let you know how it goes in the next few thousand miles. With regards to the dealership experience, it was overall positive, apart from the fact that i had to go take off my skirts since they couldn't get the car to the ramps and since they were aftermarket skirts they coulsn't claim the 20 minutes job of taking them off, under warranty. fair enough, but come on... They haven't found my rear axle clicking although tbh I don't think they had time to do it anyway, but that's a non issues as opposed to the box tbh, will get it sorted soon somewhere.
  16. I'll let you know, since the difference was 6ppl here too
  17. have you got the CALIPERS or not? you confused me now.... IE have you already got the gold bits you are mentioning above??
  18. great stuff, and I appreciate the bit about the colour, no other choice really if you wanted a GT4
  19. I'm toying with the idea of organising a EUROPEAN meet with other euro clubs summer 2007, how cool would that be?
  20. check fluid levels, just in case? MAKE SURE every little scratch/blemish both on interior plastics and bodywork is noted and dealer agrees to rectify them! and mileage shouldn't really be more than 5-6
  21. why do you specify JDM import? if it has brembos, it has brembos
  22. I should have said "have been doing" up to now then looking forward to the pics
