  1. doesn't exist the square on eis meant to be stuck to the dash to remind you of the pattern not on top of the gear knob. the nismo gear knob with the shift pattern on it was the one i had but thats £140 and the disc is recessed in to the gear knob.
  2. Alfa Romeo 8C for posing - can't make my mind up if i want the hard top or the convertible, so i'd get both to be on the safe side. Hennessy Venom GT for scaring the life out of people and myself, and track day armagedon Lyonheart K - an E type for the modern day
  3. I mowed the lawn, scarified it, fertilized it, dug over the flowerbeds, weeded, planted some plants. planted my strawberries, and tomatoes. cleaned the house and cooked a bbq
  4. I am kind getting to this point now; I think the xkr will be my last big car project, so I want to-do it right.
  5. Somebody was bored on the night shift
  6. Need an auto because of my bad knee, always said on my next auto I wanted paddle shifts. Miss my convertibles, this has a sun roof and paddle shifts. Cool interior, and lots of gadgets like on the jag. But the biggest thing, is they seem to be extremely reliable, like stupidly impossibly built. Plus its Toyota parts and servicing costs. And my biggest like is the fact that there are so few, I can turn up at work and like all my other cars, there won't be another like it in the car park. But I want it in the nice metallic blue they do.
  7. We will find out the sexes early as we need time to think of names. As for cars the one I have in mind is an estate, 5 days out of 7 it just has me driving to work, but will be family based at the weekend. Really like the Lexus IS300 sport cross
  8. Smooth will always give a better finish the dimpling will leave a matte like finish
  9. Funny you should say that. if it had been one bambino i'd have kept the XKR but as its double the trouble i've decided that i'm going to finish the project and then sell in the next 12 months and get something more user friendly. I did look at the jaguar X type estates as they were 4WD and huge, but not 100% sure about them others on my list Audi A8 Audi A6 estate or saloon Audi A4 estate BMW 7 series (740) BMW 5 series saloon or estate most likely the 530i BMW 3 series tourer most likely the 330i alfa 156 sportwagon SAAB 9-3 SAAB 9-5 but i have a current favourite at the front of my list thats nicely in price has RWD a V6 5 seats and rare as hens teeth on the roads and extremely reliable and fun to drive and a little out there on the left field. won;t say what, i'll see if any one can guess what it might be. bear in mind the budget is £5k also if anyone has any suggestions i'm all ears.
  10. should be fine then.i've always used normal car paint.
  11. i can finally breath a bit, been sort of holding my breath up to the 12 week scan, we had one at 7 weeks and had to wait from there, we're at a higher risk of misscarriage so we just wanted to get to the 12 week spot and we should be pretty safe from there onwards. but sooooooooooooooooo excited, been telling everyone
  12. good work smudge, i loved mine when i had it fitted to my old zed
  13. It may or may not have been noticeable that of recent i have not been as frequent a visitor or as quick to reply to things, there has been a lot going on in my life recently. at work we just got OFSTED visit; i was also observed and i personally got graded as outstanding which i'm very pleased with. just waiting on the whole school report to come back but its looking promising. but thats not the major thing in my life at the moment. some of you may or may not be aware that my wife and I have been trying for a baby for the last 5 years but had not been lucky enough to be blessed with a mini petrol head. well last week we had our 12 week scan and i can finally announce i'm going to be a dad ...... to twins we're both over the moon, and so excited but its going to mean some adjustments to life as it currently is but to be honest i don;t care. i'm just happy i'm going to be a dad.
  14. i woulld smooth first as it will help key the surface before painting. with the heat in the engine bay paint an become brittle, so a good key and a good plastic primer will make all the difference. i'd also go with a petroluem resistant laquer as its a dirty area in there and it will help protect the paint.
