  1. its alright if you have 1 at a time, loads of pram options all of which are a fraction of the cost. as soon as you use the word twins everything goes crazy. we had a meeting with the consultant yesterday, found out that becuase its twins we end up with 8 people in the room. 2 midwifes, 2 peadeotricians, 2 doctors, and then us, and i'm sure there is possibly 2 others. so at least i won't be lonely while lucy is screaming absenities at me. as for costs, all our baby furniture we were lucky with as my brother in law gave us their stuff from when they had twins, all i had to do was invest the time in cleaning them up and fixing them; which was easy. other stuff we're getting 2nd off ebay, and spreading the cost over the months. just got new mattresses for the cots at £150 each i will also be making lots of stuff for them. i shall build the high chairs and moses cot rockers, as well as manufacture the curtains etc. all helps to keep costs down and its stuff i like to do. nice to have some mini projects, and also like the idea that my kids will have stuff i've crafted for them. also helps i have access to big workshops and textile labs
  2. its the same stuff as plastidip, just their own version, plastidip is just a brand name, same as dyson and hoover. both suck stuff up just called different names.
  3. Something leftfield
  4. If you can get one for a good price the iPad 2 is a good compromise.
  5. works out about £20 a session. You think that's bad we've just ordered our pram/pushchair/cots/car seats travel thing. Sh1t the bed I could have bought a car. http://www.kiddisave.co.uk/store/product/17804/Bugaboo-Donkey-Travel-System-Package-4-Black-Sand-2012/ normal price nearly £1600. Then there's all the other stuff and for twins you basically double everything cost wise. I've been waking up in cold sweats, panic attacks you can understand why the xkr has to go. thankfully those prams hold their price better than the classic car market
  6. I Think you're right, funny its called a charity, but the course is like £180 for 5 sessions
  7. Its anti natal group. Not sure what nct stands for
  8. All signed up with an nct group, but not sure we need it now as it looks almost certain that Lucy will have a C-section. Because of her heart murmur, krohns and the fact its twins. We, also been given a deadline of 25 Oct. So if they haven't turned up by then, the hospital will take them out then.
  9. my mechanic said the same, that the 1.9 was a better engine, but for some stupid reason i want a v6 diesel, even though i know if they aren't maintained there can be issue with the cam followers
  10. i'm currently exploring the diesel route at the moment, i think i've settled on the Audi B6 A4 manual quattro. either the 1.9 or the 2.5 TDI the 1.9 is only 130 bhp, but for about £100 it can be mapped up to 180 bhp and still do 50 mpg, if you're going audi avoid the multitronic gearboxes, lots of issues. also watch the bmw 330d apparently they have a habit of eating their intake manifolds and feeding it to the engine, and the BMW auto is about 25% down on mpg compared to the manual. quattro is good as it allows you to stick the diesel torque down properly and really fly out of corners.
  11. Best version was the aerosync, ask Tarmac to get one for you.
  12. Out of interest which country is he from. He says this happens all the time where he is from?
  13. they are spending cash and they've not even arrived
  14. Very tempting, but I'm trying to move away from automotive money pits for a while
  15. Good choice, I'm going German as well when I sell up. But I think I'm going Audi and diesel.
  16. Why 12 months. Us humans only take 9 months to pop out of the pouch! He's not human, is he?! He's a biscuit! i wasn't rushing to sell, hence why i'm not an a biological time frame
