well i've given in. bought a Pioneer avic F500BT tonight, and managed to get it for £388 ic delivery. which i thought was quite good. but i bet someone on here will find it cheaper should hopefully get it in a few days time and once i've had a chance to sit down and work out fitting. i'll tell you all if it integrates or not.

i used to love the RX8's until my nob of a next door neighbor bought one when they first came out and it put me right off. have since moved, and the soft spot for them has come back, but never enough to actually own one, i've heard they drink oil like its going out of fashion and are even less economical than the ZED

is there an automotive equivalent to the RSPCA. where you can report people for neglect to cars, and they come along and take the vehicle in to a shelter and care for it until they find a new owner that will take better care of it. cos if there is i think someone needs to call it ASAP

it looks like flexi dado-rail bolted on, the question is why? in this current climate i bet you couldn't give it away. i would probably buy it for a fiver, and spend £10,000 on new body panels and bodywork sections, possibly out of carbon, that is sacrilage.

if they had gone with the original interior instead of putting in the golf interior, it would have been a better car. but like said above, if i had to have a VW i'd choose this over the golf. my wife has a golf, and like you say, its well put together, not a bad car, but i find like all german cars, it lacks any kind of spirit inside. its all very clinical. has no quirks, and things that make it individual. just another well manufactured German drone.

i think you might have the tunnel police responce unit down there before they had shut the door to the car. you'd be in big trouble for stopping down there, let alone letting someone out. someone might be able to walk trough on foot. their is a raised walkway in there if i remember rightly. but i don't know if they let pedestrians down there. never seen them before.

its as if she is being made to sell it and she is making look as un appertising as possible to avoid selling it.

i got an 06 gt with 13500 on the clock for £14900. so i would say well over paid. you can buy warantees from external companies that cover you for multiple things. but the Zed seems to be a fairly reliable car. so for me as long as it has a full service history, and seems in good condition and passes the usual driver and car tests then go for it, but negotiate the price well down.

that does sound like a good idea. late night, dartford tunnel, go as many times as you like. and the later it is the emptier it will be. should get some proper sound tests.

seems to be the problem at the mo. people want to buy, but no one can shift their own car. market is grinding to a halt. i had the same problem. p/x seems the only way, but what you gain in market slump on the new car, you loose in what they give you or your own car. its all relative. if your a cash buyer then your quids in and you can get some great deals. very ew dealerships would turn down a cash only sale. and will fight to keep you on the forcourt. the honda dealership near my parents is shutting down and swapping to servicing only. they are selling off stock at up to £4000 under the market value. including on S2000's

i was going to show this to my missus, but i'm currently in the dog house myself. i raced a civic off the lights on the way home from sainsburys. used a lot of throttle on a very wet road and the car fish tailed nicely as i sped off. neadless to say, she who wants to be obeyed was not amused. i on the other hand was and to top it off, when i went in to the video shop, i forgot to wait or her and then turned on the alarm in the car while she was still in it. apparently every time she went to get out the alarm went off. when i got back she had a face like thunder she'll get over it, but while she does, i'm in the dog house

that car is growing on me.

looking forward to hearing it. my definition of raspy is a car with de cat pipes. when the revs are at the top end, instead of a growl you get more of a higher pitched rasp sound difficult to explain but i can point it out when i hear it.

i just wondered that shifting the wheels out by 20 mm all round would possibly affect the handling dynamics? but plenty o people seem to use them and no one has said anything bad, so if it does it is obviously not noticable.
