alpina are still on the go, you also have in house tuners as well like Mugen, Nismo, TRD and after market tuners who produce their own cars wih their own products on like Spoon, Stillen etc

most likely some kind of a tilt switch linked with an acellorometer. possibly when the car is past 50 degrees side tilt at a set g forces the bag deploys

some manufactures don't like it if you mod their cars, i've heard of manfuactures contacting sellers of modded cars on autotrader to complain about what they did to their cars and undo it.

some cars aren't as bad as you think, my XKR when un modded was £200 a year. but with mods etc and agreed value its now about £450

i'm on the XKEC and they are a nice bunch, met up a few times with them as well, but i'm the youngest there at 31, (there are others on the forum my age). but the knowledge on there is fantastic. don't mind the £30 yearly fee to be a member as its saved me a fortune on work on the car. and it also means i get a 20% discount with most of the traders over usual online prices.

i appreciate your humour dave, but thats possibly why i'm still here as well
