  1. I would love a LR Defender out here, would be awesome . . . but I don't want one this much http://wwwa.autotrad...showcpo=ShowCPO Maybe start an import business shipping them over
  2. And if I was driving up north ipd take the zed over the s2000, and the xkr over the zed, both have advantages and disadvantages, neither is the out and out winner. Both do certain things better than the other.
  3. That settles the argument as much as whiskey would indigestion. Its not about being faster, its about better handling. My xkr is way faster than the zed, but I'd much rather take the zed out on track than my xkr. The zed is faster than an s2000, but I'd much rather take the s2000 on a b road bomb, or on a track meet.
  4. The brabus smart coupe is a good car. Far easier to park than an evoque. Takes up less space, more economical. And more fun. Any way its not yor car so not your choice. Would you listen yo your wife if she told you what you can and can't drive. If you don't like it, you don't have to get in it. You could always walk.
  5. The difference in torque just requires learning to drive another way. Once you learn the Honda method its a rewarding car. If I still had mine, I'd take you out and show what its like when driven properly. I kept fuel records and the s2k was more economical, got the comparisons and I can put them up later if you really want. Tyres were cheaper, I could but 2 Tyres for the Honda for the same price of one for the zed. And for me insurance was about the same, intact I think the stook was slightly cheaper and mine had no TCS. Choose it if you want a change. Both are good cars. You can't really go wrong, just be aware they use oil, and check it once a month and your fine.
  6. If that's the case, I'm guessing you'll need to find a power slice, there is power up there but be careful not to blow the BCM.
  7. Comes as standard on my ancient jag, also have the optional extra of auto dimming wing mirrors as well. Not bad for a 15 year old car  think there is one available in the USDM or JDM might be able to retro fit to a UKDM car
  8. Rico did it, but I can't remember his username. I meet him a few times and I think I have his phone number. He was from the state's and work for the USAF. and brought his own car over to the UK with the STS setup on it. I had a passenger ride, so I haven't driven it. But I do remember it sounding like a tiefighter in starwars, and I don't remember thinking oh god how laggy is this. I can't say it is or it isn't because i didn't drive. And it was a couple of years ago. Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 4
  9. the spacers extend where the wheels sit, there for it changes the geo, geo needs to be adjusted to account for the change in the new axle length
  10. if there is cylinder damage it could be due to the car being run for a prolonged period on low octane fuel. causes engine knock as the ECU can't adjust for the lower octane and over a prolonged period can cause the pistons to break up and damage the cylinder as it will wear uneven. best bet is to find the thread keyser wrote on it, as its all explained in detail in there. not guaranteed that's the answer but might be the lost likely cause, as its the only thing I've heard of that causes damage to a zed engine as they tend too be pretty bullet proof. using lots of oil is a sign of this happening. if you kept fuel receipts that show you purchase 98ron or above i'd be digging them out to back your case up.
  11. As for the hard top its nice to have, and makes the car more saleable. I put mine on for a few weeks a year when it got really cold. I did it to protect the soft top. Or if I was going to a crap area. Its like having 2 cars in one.
  12. Nero I think your missing some key phrases on your posts. The terms "in my opinion" "for me" "I found" you write like its the 10 commandments, and I have say I disagree with most of what you say. But the key is that's my opinion of the car. If you were having issue with the stook, my guess is either your driving was the issue, or the geometry hadn't been set up properly or cheap Tyres. My drive to work is 5 miles and the Honda was a great daily car. It was not such a great long haul car. But I still drove to the south of france and back again in it.
  13. but like you said neil your car isn't stock, its like comparing apples and pears. like you said, you have to spend a lot to get it there. when comparing both stock out of the box its a different story.
  14. Technically it was like that when I found it, then I labelled it, but I never lock it. I do lock the under bench cupboards which hold the gcse work to keep it safe. And I also lock the tool cupboards some tools and machines are also key operated.
  15. I haven't tried it, but I reckon they'll take my body weight. Advantage of iroko. And my design skills
  16. Am contemplating something similar
