  1. my drive is about 5 miles each way on dual carriageway and i only get 18 needs a long drive to see better MPG
  2. i'll have a look when i get home the roof wrap price list seems to have gone walk abouts.
  3. lego is only ever as good as the persons imagination using it. its a great toy, and that is a cracking setup
  4. i do the school boy tie knot as i don't know how to tie a windsor my dad had to do it for me when i was at home because i never wear a tie to work i feel very uncomfortable when made to wear one. so as soon as i can get away with it i bin the tie off. i sometimes like to wear brown shoes with my grey suits, but mostly i wear black shoes. if my shoes match my belt it would be sheer coincidence i'm no fashionister my work cloths consist of an old shirt with the sleeves rolled up and top button undone, pair of walking trousers navy blue and tan coloured steel toe cap boots. if i could get away with it but i know i can;t i'd wear a polo shirt to work instead of a normal shirt. and when it was hot i'd love to wear shorts, but not allowed. don't see the point of wearing nice clothes in a workshop thye only ever get ruined
  5. wanting something for 9 years, i hope it lives up to your expectations. wasn't it on top gear they said never drive your boy hood dreams, they're never as good as you thought they were!
  6. I do think the focus rs looks mean and the only problem for me is that it isn't 4wd like the old cossie. Obviously it's been engineered well but I think 4wd would help it sell more Yep rich, that's true but I honestly though I was going to be pumped by it. It was just a perspective that a st is alot slower than the rs and the ra is probably a pretty good match for a reasonably tuned n/a zed. you also have to take the driver in to account a car is nothing if the driver doens;t know how to make the most of it.
  7. yes but yours is far from stock and isn't g man in a 370Z ?

the boys in their 1.6 corsa's probably say the same as the zed shoots past. the bloke in his porshe boxster probably said the same when he tried to undertake me in the XKR and failed

they are very nice cars, pinnacle of engineering would love to have a sit in a mclaren as for the zed, most hot hatches can keep up with it, but its a nicer place to be than most of them, and draws more attention than a hot hatches does.
  10. you lot are gits my S2000 was identical, it was black and had black oz superlegerra wheels and you lot say nothing, new guy walsk on with alsmost same car and your all like, this is the nicest S2000 i've ever seen they are great cars, and so much fun. glad you got it sold and good luck with your search for your zed.
  11. +1 Although, i prefer to wear a kilt to weddings where possible. i'm not a scotsman don't feel i have the heritage for it. my family originate from scotland on my mums side about 5 generations ago they emigrated to australia.
  12. i think the building would look quiet smart with a glass front. looks like the X5 saved them the building costs
  13. just need to pimp it out with some dark tints and 3 big blokes in the back with guns
  14. i only own 1 suit and its for weddings funerals interviews etc. its my favourite so far that i've ever owned. its a charcoal grey ted baker suit with an awesome purple lining. and the cut on it; is as if it was tailor made for me. my last suit my wife picked for me and it was a blacky brown colour, she said and many others did that it suited me, but i hated it. never felt comfortable in it. if i was to have another suit i would have a black suit just for funerals as i do wish when i was at them that i had something more somber for the occasion. as for me in a suit i'm feeling brave some are my own others are morning wear for weddings. My new favourite suit brothers wedding, morning dress horrible brown suit My wedding morning dress so i've been brave who else is feeling daring
  15. then the torque converter wouldn't be worrying me at the moment, i'd be looking at fuelling and injectors first. might even be something like an idler pully needs adjusting (if it has one; don;t know the mercs V8's that well). possibly first thing would be to plug OBDII into it and see if there are any stored codes on there. not all faults kick up the engine warning light, so it might give you an idea if it has the odd missfire etc.
  16. it may not be as bad as you think, until its been inspected you won't know. if you go straight to insurer, they'll start charging the moment it goes in for diagnosis. which will reduce the amount they'll offer for fixing. it might be worth having it checked first then telling insurance whats wrong, with a quote for repair. and if its not so bad get the garage to add the inspection to the bill as well. remember you can specify where you get it repaired so don;t let them fob you off with their own choice. as they always bill for parts straight form nissan regardless. if you get it to someone like Horsham developments, Abbey motorsports or Advanced motrosports Engineering. they would be sensible and facotr in things like using a 2nd hand top end etc. or using after market parts which are often cheaper than direct OEM parts.
  17. in sport mode or any mode to be honest if you plant it are there any issues with kick down? does it kick down every time? that would be the first signs
  18. but then your car will be a CAT D, or even possibly CAT C if they class it as flood damage. so your car is worth even less come resale. and possibly harder to sell.
  19. have you run a can of BG44k through it yet, give the injectors a good clean out or take it to a terra clean outlet and have them run a some special fluid through it. or do both. i'm enjoying slight hesitation before kick down. new problem to fix
  20. so so true, the zed is a great all round car, anyone can drive it and get alot out of it with minimal skill, the S2K when you get it right is so rewarding. you have to use the gears more, you really need to move up and down the range alot to keep it in the sweet spot, and with some good heel and toe, the high revs all the changes and the engine singing with the roof down it all just pulls together as a superb experience man and machine in harmony. i still miss my Stook if i had the cash i'd buy another as a track toy or something similiar
