  1. and they call me the forum tool those 2 mr2s aren't that bad, nothing a paint job couldn't fix. but the rest of them could only be cured with napalm
  2. 1.85% of all posts are mine on here sarnie must be close to 3% i think the top 10 posters count for nearly 20%
  3. It would wipe out all the posts they had made from years back and then where would we be over 50% of the forum is written by about 30 people. if you take i think the top 25 posters and add up how there percentage posting comes to something silly like 50%
  4. you forget that engine is possessed by satan himself. its so lethal the zed not even jensen button will own one without the traction control on.
  5. you linked it to the crap question thread you mongtard
  6. i think there is a buying guide somewhere, i couldn't be bothered to search so i just typed that up.
  7. i'm trying to save money on tyres, can i use lots of elastic bands instead?
  8. so many things i just want to sink my teeth into
  9. not always no, 65k is hardly worn in to be honest. the oil burning issue is pretty rare at the moment, its affected a few, but its more noticable on a forum where most people only log on to solve an issue. it comes from using the wrong fuel in it., end up with bore damage and bore wear from memory. if you think its buring oil the best thing to do is take it to a garage and get a compression test done. that will give you a good idea of what shape the engines in. if its a private sale or even a garage ask them if its been burning oil. they should tell the truth as its always been caveat emptor )buyer beware) meaning if you don;t ask they dont have to tell. if you do ask they should be honest, if there not you have grounds to sue, bring back the car etc. not so easy to prove though.
  10. with the doors or windows open should be audible over the engine. main issues with the Zed are gear box and burning oil. or crash damamge. crash damage isn't so major if its been repaired properly etc gear box is not horrific as for about 1k you can have new clutch etc sorted. but the oil burning is starting to be an issue for some. if its burning lots of oil you could be looking at a rebuild, which isn;t cheap.
  11. basic checks: 1. take the oil cap off, is there any milky residue bit like mayo - if so then possible gasket on the way out. 2. check the dipstick, how much oil is in the engine. - if its near empty could be a sign of poor care or oil burning or both 3. check panel gaps, are they all pretty even. do they line up etc. any abnormalities could mean crash damage 4. similiar to above check paint i.e. is it the same all round or is there any inconsistency's could be a sign of repair. 5. push down on all 4 corners, suspension should bounce slightly, if it keeps bouncing, shocks might be going. 6. check tyre wear, have they worn evenly, if not then there are camber issues. 7. put all the lights on check all bulbs work etc. Engine checks: 1 does it turn over first time or does it struggle, if struggles could be battery or alternator 2. are there any unusual sounds, clicks whines clonks etc in cabin: 1. check all buttons work, seats move, aircon comes on, if it has power to it does it do what its meant to. 2. with engine off first. try all the gears, do they slip in easily, 3. conditon of seats etc, does the wear look like it matches the mileage. (if the car says 30k but the seats look like they've been to the moon and back then car might ahve been clocked. on the drive: 1. hard acceleration, does it pull well or are their hesitations 2. do some gear drops. change down from 5th to 3rd 6th to 4th 3rd to 1st. etc, this checks the gear box and syncro's any issues should show themselves. 3. get car to 30-40 mph in 3rd, then drop in to 6th and flaw the pedal. if clutch is good the engine should struggle but slowly accelerate. if clutch is bad, the revs will suddenly jump up like your reving it. 4. check it goes it to reverse. drive the car at a range of speeds, see if any strange noises. 5. take the car up to 70 80mph, any vibrations through the steering, will show if wheels need balancing etc. 6. a good drive should show up things like crabbing (been in a crash) is steering tight etc. Zed specific: 1. with the door open, get the car to pull forward slightly, and stop, if you hear any clicking means the car has the clicky axle problem. not a major issue, just annoying. and relatively easy to fix. 2. does the bose skip under use with a CD if any of those points come up it should give you bargaining room for discounts etc. hope that helps
  12. can't make any promises, its about 60 miles away from me, got a few things on tomorrow.
  13. popping in the exhaust is generally down to waste fuel being burnt off in the pipes. it might be down to the hole, difficult to tell from a written message.
  14. you should be able to fish round the back of the panel and find the button, it should reclip back in to the hole if you can;t fish round with a finger you can remove the dash section and do it that way.
  15. what time are you checking the car out? and where abouts is it in chelmsford. i might be able to make it across
  16. i'm less of a clingon and more liked piles; been here for ages and a right pain in the arse.
  17. theres only about 30 regular posters i'm registered on a load of car forums where i was interested in the car, had a browsed, never posted, never bought the car, never went back. would be nice to think we had 10,000 all posting, but we'd be a lot bigger in size if we were.
  18. go to abbey, avoid nissan, if it isn;t a micra most nissteks couldn;t tell the difference between their arse and their elbow.

  20. Italian volleyball player Francesca Piccinini
  21. i found the zed the same as you, thats why i sold it never looked back dabbled with an S2000 for a year, was a great car, for personal reasons i prefered it to the zed. but my best move yet has been the XKR ok so its a bit more of a luxo barge but as i'd cut down on the track work i didn't need a track car. as for the zed FI could be done for less, just dpends on how practical you are.
  22. also worth noting that if you do run on 95 ron it has a similiar affect as cutting some of the engine power from the engine. also what you spend in extra cash on super you get back in extra miles. so it works out about the same in price. so its better to run it on the proper stuff.
