  1. large exhausts or multiple large exhausts on a car with a 1 litre engine. why bother with anything larger than 2.5" anything larger is like farting down a canyon.
  2. have a look at my exhaust post for the jag, that was custom built using longlife stuff, from my research its one of the best multinationals etc. but the skill comes down to the garage installing it, so who ever you use try and find some feedback for them etc.
  3. you don't have to disclose it unless its a Cat C or D etc. lots of cars on the forum have had knocks etc but its very rare to see an advert saying, pristine car, been crashed 3 times. who's going to buy that?
  4. i twas my dealings with head office that put the final nail in the coffin for me. marshalls are very good regardless of what manufacturer they are selling for, and were very helpful with a warranty issue. agreed with all was said, passed it on to NissanHQ got told no. spoke to them lots and lots oand lots, they couldn't give a monkies. put me off them for life. can happen with all kinds of manufactures, chesterfield has a pretty identical opinion of jaguar. where as i've found them to be excellent.
  5. i was waiting for the tears...how the new shed was never the same...then i scrolled down and saw the last pic nicely done; i hope you get many years of enjoyment out of the blue zed.
  6. you can get BC coilovers for about half that new i think about £600 maybe less. you might be able to get some part worns R888's if it was me i'd take a trip down to these guys http://www.centergravity.co.uk they are based in warwicksire so not to far to go but well worth it. they do alot for the S2000 boys
  7. i've been hoping we bring it to the yanks as well
  8. i always use HPI as it comes with the gaurentee that it if it turns out to be stolen etc, they pay out for you.
  9. the instructions are pictorial and in german, and some bits are clear others are not. my basic translation of them (after using google translate ) 1. turn blowers on to full, turn heat up to max, set to air recycle, aim at the footwell leave for 10 min 2. put can in the supplied box, put in footwell aiming up the pedal vent, put A/C on, make sure its on recycle, i turned the temp down to min. set can off, shut door, leave for 10. i left it on the foor well setting but i think it showed to put it on windscreen, but don;t do it if it turns recycle off. 3. once can has expired leave engine to run for further 10 min with doors shut and previous settings. 4. open all doors turn engine off and leave for 10 min 5. job done
  10. my experience with nissan has meant i never would or never will give them repeat business again. when i owned the car i made sure all parts and servicing was all done by independents. and after my previous experiences with nissan they'd have to get megan fox to come butter my balls before i ever decide to step back in a nissan dealership.
  11. its common in alot of nissan dealerships, they seem to have an attitude of not actually wanting to sell any cars. glynn hopkins were just as crap in ipswich;
  12. where in the UK are you; if your down in suffolk i'd send you to Team AFM they build and set up race cars if your near london depends where i'd say DMS don't know if abbey to geo. price near me is about £70 price i paid at DMS was £120
  13. if your getting smells try something like liquimoly klima fresh instructions aren't great but the product works well. just did mine and the wifes car with it. my car only had a slight odour on switching off of A/C but the wifes new car was bad. now tons better.
  14. got the silver for the pumle horse as well
  15. Oh dear god yes. They'd be worth the equivalent of another 30-50bhp, and you'll easily get there, track and back on a set and then some. Amazing things. they stick like sh1t to a bears arse
  16. Can you expand a little? I can rebuild engines...but this side of things baffles me you need a company with something like a hawkeye laser or similiar. i have a place near me, who have the equipment but also the know how to set the car up perfectly. this explains it pretty clearly http://www.rapid-racer.com/suspension-tuning.php http://www.obpltd.com/wordpress/?p=148
  17. things to make the zed better in the corners 0. get some driver training; so you can use ever once of the car 1. make sure it has the best tyres you can afford, preferably MPS2 or similiar r888 even better 2. make sure the geo on the car is setup for best performance, places like DMS and abbey should be able to set the car up to your liking. 3. if you have the money, get a decent set of coilovers before you do the geo setup. 4. really good discs and pads, and decent brake fluid. you want to be able to brake late and hard, without fade. 5. make it lighter take any crap out you don't need, if you have no passenger take the pax seat out. 6. make sure your on 99 ron or more fuel 7. for shear fluke try an octane booster in there as well. 8.you could spend big money, and go for light forged wheels, and nuts to reduce unsprung weight, but it all starts getting silly money for little gain. 9. there is body stiffening products from summit. will help it corner better to be honest the first 3 should make the most impact
  18. evo is always a reliable source and good for plenty of info. especially if they've ahd one as a long term test car. glad i inadvertantly helped
  19. as far as i'm aware they have thrown no issues up as yet
