  1. and i bet his surname was exactly what he said when he surfaced
  2. i'm a teacher, every student knows my car had several students threaten to key it, slash tyres etc, it was slightly in jest, but they were the kind of kids that could/would do something like that. still doesn't stop me being a hard arsed barsteward. the naughty ones know i'd strign them up by their testies with piano wire if they touched my car
  3. its a picture of fire with the word "napalm" underneath and the text because really "kill it with fire" will cover just about any situation
  4. some cars do have slightly poorly aligned syncro's but this usually disappears once the cars up to temp. the main gear box issue has been clutches. the rattle could have been the thrust bearing or if its had a lightened flywheel put in these have been known to make noise. nowt wrong with the earlier ones.
  5. would you buy it for me to burn on camera
  6. that 165 mph crash with no seatbelt, and not a scratch on him even though he was thrown from the car. now thats an advert for not needing seatbelts always seems the way, the stupid and the criminal survive major crashes without a scratch, normal people get killed at 30 mph
  7. i think it has been wrapped by a 110 year old blind man with one arm and a banana for a knife and the bodys been fitted by london zoos ape section, but they've worn blindfolds and only been allowed to use their feet and pritt stick. and the interior is amazing that same kind of amazing as waking up to find you've sh1t yourself in your sleep. and the wheels look like they've been borrowed from a hot wheels car, they are lost in those arches. if fail made cars this would be it
  8. a long run might clear it, depends on how clogged the filter is, if they get to bad without a burn off it can mean a replacement. i know when i was on the alfa forum alot of the diesel guys had the DPF removed as it had so many issues. and was mentally expensive for a new one.
  9. i'd do all mods first before doing an uprev
  10. the DPF only burns off when the engine is running high. i.e. good long drive. in basic terms it flushes the DPF with fuel and then burns it off. hence why you get improved mpg when you have them removed and a tube put in.i know some longlife custom exhaust builders will do a CFP removal and decats (as you don't need cats to pass an MOT on a diesel) they often throw upCEL's if the car is used for lots of round town driving. doesnt do the long jaunts that are needed for the DFP to clean itsself
  11. if only the olympics was like this
  12. whispers say the collaboration is with merc, even lotus has apparently been in chats with them. which could mean merc chassis maybe engine.
  13. if i could run at 27mph i'd be the fastest fat man on the planet
  14. looks very good in the second vid, lets just hope it comes in under 40k
  15. avoid japspeed like the plague; cheap sh1t that breaks
  16. come on stew you should know this by now, big engines are on the way out, especially in cheaper cars. the zed Vq engine is soon to be a relic. small and turbo's what this will get. especially if they want to keep the weight to 1000kg thats elise fighting country that is.
  17. but you hav to take into account the cars fastest section is the 2nd 100 metres. at that point its rate of acceleration is exponential. first 50 metres is where it counts and it depends on acceleration.
  18. over 100m i think bolt would have it. yes his top speed is 23 mph but he's nearly at top speed from the start, car is heavier takes longer to reach same speed. i reckon it would be close. bolt vs a cheetah ronaldo vs veyron http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vv2dkd1ZiO0
  19. i believe they are a nod to the original which had 2 extra lights.
  20. my first car was a rover 214, i bought the front and rear bumper and alloys from the tomcat but i didn't badge it such, it still said 214si on the back
  21. audi running lights not on an audi
