  1. pop up a picture of the centre caps they can be sprayed or possibly wrapped.
  2. I'm don't think australia is doing that badly? being he's an ozzie why should he have to give his money away? thats an investment to make more money not just to burn? if i told you to go donante half your savings to charity, most people would tell me to jog on
  3. i think mine were ebay ones, but the fit was bad, had to cut the bit that goes down the back of the light off so they wouldn't catch on the bonnet, this meant they had to be bonded on to the lights. tarmac is probably your best bet.
  4. I did it on mine many moons ago
  5. quote="Advert"]Stunning car. Professionally Turbocharged in November 2006 by 'mx5mad' including upgraded ECU, Injectors, Intercooler, Radiator, clutch and exhaust system at a cost of £6640. I wish HR Z FI kits were that cheap! i loved the MR2 roadster for this reason too. £2.5k
  6. my wifes grandad had one; we nicknamed it the orofice
  7. i think tarmac might be able to source some or there were those rota wheels that looked very similiar, and i can sort you out appropriate decals for them if you so wanted to add them.
  8. XKR ? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p personally i like the look of the cerbera but someone beat me to suggesting it.
  9. i'd have the XKRS myself depreciation isn't quiet as horrific, service costs outside of jaguar aren't bad. and the service schedule is better. think its 12 months or 10k
  10. you'll need to find out a price for these when you bought them new, both an individual price and a set of 4 price. as i said they can be refurbed but probably not to original spec, but a new painted finish. I think they are only obliged to follow compensation to whats known as a reasonable standard. but this is down to interpretation and the company ethos that you deal with. this could be anything from the cost of 1 wheel or its refurbishment, to the cost of a new set of wheels to the same value.
  11. they are repairable chrome does not mean ireapareable. they can;t be re chromed as you would need to fill and sand the damaged area. as far as i'm aware they won;t work in the chrome plating process. but this doesn;t mean that the wheels can;t be repainted. all4 would need doing. but they could easily be painted. I do know of a 3 stage process for spraying chrome on to anything, but i've not tried it. but the finish by the american company is mirror clear.
  12. thats great news, as for diesels, the bmw diesels are some of the best what about an LPG converted V8? get something like an audi A8 and convert to LPG ?
  13. i know a bloke who used to make the scim bodyshells he know lives out in NZ but i sort parts out for his XK every so often and send him care packages of car parts.
  14. if its a performance part and its made for porsche its 3 or 4 times the price of what it should be. its the same with jaguar, and i'd bet its the same with all prestige performance cars. general aftermarket consensus is if you can afford a prestige car you can afford to pay presitige prices
  15. Lol yeh and I will prob be about 2k lighter aswell acropovic do porsche exhausts as well if you have a spare £4k
  16. i go to a specialist for my 20" BBS wheels, they have a special BBS wheel attatchement to allow them to do the wheels upside down in owder to protect the chrome ring or something like that. but it doesn;t require putting any marks on the wheels. glad you have found a place for future reference; sorry to see the damage. my advice is to source it through tarmac sports, he can get most things state side but be charged by a UK company as a UK company. i.e. if the wheel place are buying the replacement they can deal with tarmac.
  17. Just had a quick browse in your price band, just quickly picked the well knowns, must admit there is a lot of choice; but if it was me and only a weekend toy for the next 2 years, i'd be looking at the noble m12 or the TVR cerbera or Tuscan. didn't put them up but an exige would possibly go ont there as well. Aston DB7 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p Ferrari 328 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p Jaguar XKR http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p Maserati Gransport http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p Noble M12 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p TVR cerbera http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p TVR T350 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p TVR tamora http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p TVR tuscan http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p But if you like the porsche and it ticks the boxes and gives you the safety net your looking for then its up to you. but i wonder if the same thing will happen to it as has with the 370. nice car but i wish it was more type thing. as you i too have a porsche itch, i also have an alfa itch and a TVR itch. i'm currently happily sratching my V8 intch and my supercharger itch both at the same time. but i don't know what i'll do next. i'm seriously contemplating a 2 car setup where i do the alfa as a daily car and get a caterham or similiar for track fun and weekend hooning.
  18. looks like a beefed up MR2 roadster
  19. i've done it to my car as a temp mod till i sort new lights
  20. have to agree with sarnie on this, if its only a weekend toy i'd be looking in the TVR cupboard; if i had the cash spare for a toy i'd want it to be something that makes me smile when i go for a blast. the M3 and the cayman are great daily's but for a weekend toy i;d want more.
