That's what I love about it, ultimate form of social mobility. yes its great, if they're lucky, some get 10 years at the top before being cast aside, where most then spunkall their hard earned cash, turn to drink and file for bankruptcy. There has been a big issue with lack of player support, lack of financial guidance, being helped to plan for the future. Sommuch so they are starting to get an issue with ex players not being able to cope outside the lime light when their careers over that many suffer from depression, suicide, drugs and alcohol. That's the kind of social mobility I like to see It's a good job those things don't happen to people in other walks of life, just footballers. not really apart from music stars and actors and other sports I can't think of many professions where you have an average career span of 5-10 years where you earn 90% of your lifes income

Having played rugby for many years, I've not come across anyone use the phrase what-ho. Its not a public school boy sport, every comprehensive school in the country plays it, same as football. There are rugby clubs in most towns just like football clubs. Never said rugby players are whiter than white, what I said was the sport has far more respect built into the game than football does. I'd rather see my kids take up rugby or boxing than football. its a physical sport, o enjoyed it for that exact fact, it is what it is, it does try to hide it or be anything else, which sadly in football they don't. They fake injury, dive when no ones near them. At least in rugby if someone gets hit, you no its for real. Unlike football which seems to be populated by pansies, fakers, liar's and cheats. You're telling me what I already know about rugby, while trying to convince me, football is the messiah sport. Most of them of they couldn't kick a ball would be stacking shelves in Tesco.

Its the old saying "football; played by gentlemen; watched by thugs, rugby; played by thugs, watched by gentlemen."

Rugby is a contact sport, its part of the game, but if you do it expect to get sin binned. But you can watch a 7ft bloke take his punishment from the ref who might be half his size without any agro. Because the players respect the authority of the sport. Rugby teaches far more about respect than football. And if you throw a punch expect that the other person will give as good as he gets. And no one falls over like a ballet pre Madonna.

for all their size, penetration is not as big as you think it is. And I'm sorry but its not a sport that leads the best example to the young people taking it up. Children watch the adult players abuse ref's, parents at youth games abuse the ref's managers other children. They see its fine to cheat, dive, bite, fake injury all to get ahead in the game. Punishment for poor behaviour is menial. For all the good intentions that many people have in the game, the hard work coaches and good players put in. The amount of kids who take it up etc etc, its all let down by the fact that the core of uk football is rotten. And until its cleaned up its not a sport i'd want to five my money too or encourage my kids into. Rigby and boxing may not have the social penetration, but the ideals they install in the youth that take the sport up is far more wholesome. Uk football has the potential to be a great ambassador for the youth and could really become something great that we could all be proud of. But not until alot of changes are made. Governing body needs replacing, agents need to be taken or reduce roles given in the sport, salaries need to be capped, limits on foreign players set and about 20-30% of a team max if mot less. Refs need to be given more powers, and more respect, bigger punishments and fines for poor behaviour. More investment into grassroots and youth training. Modern technology needs embracing to confirm good decisions and weed out bad choices. I'm sure more could be done

What you've mentioned is a given in sport, happens across the board. Its just disheartening when you hear of disabled access to grounds being poor, disabled fans being abused. And big issues with a lack of investment at grass roots and the grass roots field actually shrinking. You'd think with all that money they'd be pumping the cash in at the ground level to actually produce a team of British players who could actually get out of qualifying. Uk football is stuck in a vicious circle, money comes first then getting the best talent (mostly foreign) and fans and building new talent comes pretty low down.

Why does my Zed seem to polarise reactions?

Surprisingly I find the jag gets left alone. And I get let out of junctions. -
FIFA is the epitome of a morally centred organisation.... said no one ever. Isn't one guy up once charges for being bought out by the Arabs for one of the world cups. Players swearing at ref's, poor behaviour, lack of discipline, fan segregation, no drinking at matches as fans can't be trusted. Racism, anti Semitic comments, apparently no gay players, agents who put money before players or teams. Ridiculous transfer fees. Etc etc, the list goes on The champions league is devoid of role models, and is pretty much lacking in any kind of morals. In football money makes the world go round.

Morals and football in the same sentence isn't that an oxymoron

Logic would suggest said driver clocks you doing the speed limit, decides your a law abide and that when you get to a national speed limit you'll stop at 70. Regardless of what he drives he thinks I just have to get to 80 and I'll pass her/them. So sits up your rear in frustration of having to go slower than he planned, but then get thwarted by tour acceleration as you make your point at the dual carriageway. Its nothing personal most drivers are selfish and once in their car they think they're invincible. I was always told, everyone on the road is tying to kill you, so drive with that in mind. Ignore the numpties, drive to your environment, let the idiots wipe themselves out. -
tell him they'll lift the ban but only if he's de-toothed that way he can only gum someone. Or he can take his punishment like a man, grow a pair and get over it.

all the work is done, just need to pick your colour, I had quotes of around £600 for plasti dipping, quotes for vinyl wrapping around £1200 and a full respray double that and more depending of you stay the same or change colour, and if you do exterior only or door jams and engine bay. As for power, stock is about 370bhp, a conservative estimate on mine with larger pulley and exhaust is between 400 and 420 BHP. Would need dyno to confirm figures, but could be more. Max of about 440bhp but I don't think its that high. And there is scope for more if you wanted, I did the harder pulley at the bottom, you can put a smaller top pulley on as well, but you'd need to grade the cooling. And still scope for a remap as well. Very easy to gain power.

I can't understand why they covered it up? Must of cost them the best part of £200 in lumber plus half a days labour for 2 workman. What a waste of over £300 of tax payer money, and now the area looks even worse. I'd be asking the council for justification of this act, and also an itemised costing for the work under the FOI act. That is of course if I had the time effort or inclination to even bother.

Parcel2go have been good, I use their ups drop off service, as there is a drop off point at my local Brantano round the corner. No waiting in as I drop off at my convience, but cheaper than having it collected or royal mail. Even cheaper is the UPS point to point service, but never used it as it requires customers to have to go to a collection point to retrieve their parcel at the other end. So far I have found the service faultless.

sadly not my driveway and garden, popped round the corner to a local manor house and used their driveway

Reason for selling wasn't planning on selling, but the arrival of twins has depleted the renovation project budget and 2 car seats don't fit in the back of the car, not enough space for a twin pram and need to have a sensible car with them due to start nursery this year. Work that still needs to be done all the major jobs have been done especially all the expensive ones. but the alloys could do with a refurbishment, the drivers bolster needs restoring. and the paint work needs attention. the original plan was to get the car vinyl wrapped or Plasti-Dipped white. the cars at the perfect point that the new owner could choose what colour they wanted. this is very much an unfinished project car but over £15,000 was spent to get all the major jobs done. what it's worth once finished will be far greater than what its being sold for. £5800 ONO (open to sensible offers)
