    Fiat 500

good littl echassi on them, very much a point and shoot car, i enjoyed driving one that was a courtesy car. only hing i would say is its typical italian gear box. gearbox is a bit loose doesn;t always engage reverse first time. but i;m sure when you get used to it you get the italian knack for it. only minor point i had as driver, not being a small person i struggled to get my feet on the pedals. i could heel and toe with one foot without trying

  5. Ok so i've renamed the thread and thought i'd update this as i try new bottles. so this whole drinking adventure started last week when i bought a bottle of this Good old sailor jerry; now i know the receipe has been changed, and i never tried the old stuff but i have to say i really liked it. BOTTLE: i loved the labelling and the fact it was still a pull cork top. the tatto designs on it were a nice touch. SMELL: really strong sweet smell with a large hit of vanilla, but i really liked that, hints of cinamon and other spices come through. i kept taking the lid off just to smell it. TASTE: was alright over ice, could taste the spices. but enjoyed it most with ginger beer and lime. so this week i had to persaude myself to buy a new bottle. partly becuase SJ was on special in supermarket, but also becuase i didn;t want to be let down by bottle number 2. so i decided to give this a go its called the Kraken, and its a black spiced rum was reccommended this as an alternative to SJ as apparently it was more like the old SJ than the new stuff. BOTTLE: love the bottle design of this and the labelling, the old school black and white drawings make it an interesting bottle. and the twin loop top does make pouring easier. SMELL: have to say the smell wasn;t as good as the SJ i thought, but it could be becuase their was less of a vanilla hint to it. and more spice. it had a slight chemical smell to it, but not in a bad way (if that makes sense) more like a medicine smell. TASTE: have to say i think i prefer the SJ over the kraken, its not bad but i think i prefer those stronger vanilla hints. its by no means a bad taste, and over ice its very drinkable, and mixes well too. has a lovely dark colour to it when you pour it. and if you leave it for a bit the smell mellows. so far SJ still has the edge for me, got half a bottle still to finish, so the next thing to do is decide what to try next. think ing i might do captain morgan next. get the mainstream ones out the way first. then maybe move to the more specialist. so far both bottles above can be bought in the supermarket
  6. deep scratches are fine, they will be filled and smoothed before painting. as far as i'm aware no one makes a replacement CF rear strut, i think someone did at one point but don;t know if they are still on here. a few sell the covers but from the ones i've seen you can see the silver through the gaps around the zed logo, and down the sides as it doesn;t continue under the trim.
  7. i can do one that is carbon dipped, its painted finish, but it mean sno edges like you'd get on a stick on one, have one currently wrapped in carbon vinyl, but i'm planning on stripping it and dipping it instead. not sure if its what you'd be looking for, but thought i'd mention it as it might meet a need.
  8. Is a lot just for tax though compared to other motors. Maybe that's just because I'm surrounded by friends, family, work mates etc that all have sub £30 tax cars (none of which are as cool as the zed though ) mines due in november £200 for my 4.0litre Supercharged V8 the advantage of buying pre 2001. anything below 1700cc is about £150, everything over 1700cc is £200. regardless of how over it goes
  9. nice photos don't know where you live but there seem to be a lot of very steep slopes; how does the car cope with them all?
  10. if its off the car, and its a spare, why not send it to redline goods. they make and can fit it for you. and you won;t risk killing pete
  11. I've put up a thread for the steering controls, due to work out the price today. Will post it on there. Get me a picture and some dimensions of it and send it over to me at richard@rtcustomz.co.uk and ill work out a price.
  12. don't think JDM has the same level of underseal on the car, i know alot of other imports had nothing. also JDM's don;t use OBDII they use another system which makes them hard to fault find (not impossible though) trim and spec levels were different.
  13. Is Something like this what you were looking for? these aren;t covers they are the original steering wheel controls dismantled and carbon dipped. then reassembled and new text applied. I managed to get the text done tonight. would have hadthese out a few months ago but its taken a few moths to sort the text out. these current ones are already ear marked for another member but i should start to have a steady steam of these on an exchange basis.
  14. if your DIY'ing i can supply the vinyl if you want someone to wrap it for you i think taras at RT performance is your man
  15. 2 shellls near work, opposite sides of the A12, first was done a few months back, upgraded the shop. now the other is being done
  16. is there due to be a new replacment for the i3 i5 and i7 stuff in the near future or are they here for a while? has comp tech slowed down? I know the new sand whatever thingys were and are a huge leap in tech, my guess is they are fairly future proof.
  17. depends on the disc, some can be fitted both ways, one is more aggressive than the other. i.e groves rotating to the front better braking, but quicker pad wear. turned the other way round, not as agressive braking, better pad wear. but as for kinetix not sure. never heard or used them.
