longest thread was the one about marriage as it kept being shut down and re started in a new thread, think it went over 3 threads each about 30 pages long. that was back in the day when tarmac and I would banter alot with vik, nixy, husky and a couple of others. we are the reason the green room now exists.

and on UK roads it would take all of about 30 seconds before that bumper got ripped off and those skirts got caught on a lowered curb.

i have to say i was one of those who bought the zed and sold in the end due to overall disappointment. to start with it was great, but as i grew to know the car i found its limitations. i think i had such high expectations of the zed that it could never live up to them ending up in an unfulfilled purchase that in the end saw me falling out of love and selling the car. its the only car i;ve ever owned that i haven't been sad to sell. all my other cars brought a little lump in my throat at the thought of sale. with the zed if i'd seen it on fire i would have waited a good 10 minutes before going out, just to make sure it wasn;t salvagable. sad to say really as they are good cars. just for me we were never fully compatible.

the new jaguar stuff is superb styling, would choose it all over the german rivals at the moment.

from what i've seen build quality is much improved over the old ford days, there have been very good reviews about the new jags. i know chesterfield had an XF and so did his brother and had issues, but i think it was more to do with dealer service than just the car. as i think they both got a friday afternoon car. general consensus from new owners is its a very good car.

No summer tyre is going to be good in the snow. I get by quite happily with them on. You do have to clench your cheeks sometimes and its an interesting way to learn to control the rear in a slide. Basically go into every corner expecting to slide, therefore it shouldnt be a suprise. Take it steady. Use the gears and don't touch the brakes.
