  1. Sound is all down to the installer they can make it as quiet or as loud as you want it.
  2. I used a custom exhaust place but they were a longlife exhaust affiliate. The question is not the supplier its the fitter that makes all the difference. I used demand engineering in Suffolk and they mandrel bend and tig weld all their work. I have heard that powerflow does use full stainless for all their parts. Longmire do and offer a lifetime warranty on it too.
  3. Sad times, and dangerous ones at that
  4. But surely if she was doing 38 then they would do her for 32 taking into account the allowance, is that how it works. ? If not then I'll kick my mate Trev's ass for telling me porkies, as he was supposed to be on the same speed awareness course with her. the speed at which she got done for would be the speed the camera read. Regardless of what her speedo said. She would have been told the speed she was doing. And because she "apparently" got done for 32 its highly unlikely as it doesn't match with the rules that heff posted earlier. Now if she got done and was adamant she was only doing 32. Then her speedo os very broken. If you know you have an accurate speedo it technically means you can do say 77 in a 70 and not get pulled.
  5. These tend to be the stereotypical views: if your male and sleep with a teacher your seen as a legend by your mates fathers might possibly see their son as some kind of champ if a little displeased I think sometimes its seen that its not the womans fault that they feel to the mature charms of a young student. but when it comes to young girls under the legal age, males are seen as predatory, perverted, sick etc. parents are shocked that their little girls have been defiled by the older male. that there is no way the girl made the move that the male must have forced themselves on them etc. its not dissimilar attitude towards rape and other gender based crimes. of course this is not always the case there are cases of female teachers who have been fully prosecuted under the law.
  6. Yes I'm sure they had already applied that calculation and the answer was 32..!! but the rule of 10% means you can legally do 33 in a 30, 44 in a 40 55 in a 50 etc etc etc the lowest you'd get a ticket is 34
  7. Fair enough, but even the older 4 pot is still a good drive
  8. Audi A3 but with the 3.0 V6 which comes with the haldex 4wd. Not as fun as the golf R32 but comfy, tidy and reliably planted in all weather
  9. I thought the 1.8 20v turbo was a 5 cylinder. 4 valves per cylinder. 20 divided by 4 is 5.
  10. See I genuinely love the plain 6 series. If I got another cruiser in the future a convertible 6 would be on my list. I liked it with just the plain old v8. So the M6 must be bloody spanking. Nice dilemma to be in.
  11. AG products tend to be pretty good. There products are a nice middle of the market option. Husky swears by it from memory.
  12. under 4k???? 34 cars on auto trader, admittedly all 100k+ mileage. But these days that's an engine just warn in. If mileage isn't an issue you could spend half your budget
  13. that's my route to work, or part of it. I head out to Framlingham every morning there are several regular places they like to visit. If your local to the area its well known where they hide. But its also well signposted what the speed is. And that stretch you talk of is a 40 past a school where there is only one crossing with lights and its used by students. It also happens to be my last place of employment. Best advice is stick to the speed limit, can be tempting when it goes to 2 lanes, and traffic often does speed up on that stretch. I've just had to remind myself every day to watch the needle and not follow the flow of traffic.
  14. I was also looking at the audi S3 at the same time as looking at the pug. Might be worth a look. Haldex 4wd great 5 cylinder engine and turbo'd
  15. Jag X type or S type Volvo S80 audi A8 Audi A6 Chrysler 300c Alfa 166
  16. but I bet you've been hit been threatened a couple of times, but I generally can't take a 15 year old seriously when they try to be threatening. Its like watching a care bear get angry. Spent some of my career working in a PRU. So generally these days there isn't a lot that phases me.
  17. I've never been hit on as a teacher, But that's because I'm ugly
  18. There is an increase in younger teachers. As more experienced teachers are leaving the profession
  19. Its the same engine out of the mini cooper S. I was looking at them before I had to get the family tank. Worth a look.
  20. How old are some of us? Feels like a school playground in here

    350z or s2k

my opinion would be completely the opposite. Found the zed awful. Poor interior, dull to drive, but loved the S2k. Hence why I said opinions are useless, personal choice is what matters here.

  23. Used to browse and post in my downtime at work. Then I changed jobs and moved into management. Don't have anytime in the day to do non work related stuff.so its an evening hobby only now. And that's only if I'm not working from home or looking after the kids.
  24. certainly won't miss all the TV coverage of it. I'd rather they didn't start the TV coverage down south till next Thursday. That's really the only important bit to us. To know if they are staying or going. I don't need all the news build up as I don't need to make a choice.
