-
saw that and wondered if it was a member on here; and if they knew the baby machines
-
i looked at m3's about 2 years ago and they were round the 9k mark then. should be able to find one around the 7k mark by now. and running costs will be about the same as the zed.
-
do both. dblock says dropping the stock rays from a 45 profile to a 40 profile gets rid of the bulge.and if you drop the width by 10 that should give a slight stretch. other options is not to be so ghey and run the tyres properly.
-
ah yes i've dealt with them before, was going to use them but went with some one cheaper and more local. good place
-
need to do my BBS wheels at some point. be interested to see them when they are done. i need to find someone who will do a proper job on a set of split rims.
-
be interested to know where you dropped them off was it ipswich local or further afield?
-
just knock 5 off the profile or 10 off the width

from that gaurdian article i had to laugh at the following THE HIGGS BOSON = The Higgs Boson isn't a real thing, I'm afraid. It doesn't even sound like a real thing. A "boson" is a member of a ship's crew, isn't it? The whole thing was concocted as a ruse to build the Large Hadron collider, which is actually a cover for the world's biggest go-kart track, something that would never have got funding on its own merits. If we're being honest about particle physics, the atom as is commonly portrayed doesn't exist either. There are actually only four known elements, "Earth", "Wind", "Fire" and "September". Nuclear power is actually the name given for when there is a higher density of fire in one place than normal. VACCINATION = Although rational types have been decrying antivaxxers for years, unfortunately they are correct. Vaccinations are unnecessary; they're a cover for the true nature of disease. It was discovered long ago that all diseases were actually spread by the Dodo. Upon this realisation, scientists decided to initiate a brutal extermination campaign, which lead to their apparent extinction. However, racked by guilt over their actions, the science community concocted the whole vaccine story to explain why people weren't getting so sick anymore, and have persevered with it to this day. Dodos actually still exist, but in real life they closely resemble pigeons. The story about them being extinct was made up to prevent panic, and the image of the dodo as a large bemused chicken is based on a model created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop, commissioned to back up the story. RELATIVITY = The theory of relativity is, as many have guessed, made up. It doesn't make any sense when you think about it, time slowing down as you go faster? Gaining mass as you approach light speed? It's all based on an incident Einstein experienced when on a particularly long train journey where his watch was broken and he went to the buffet car a few too many times. He came up with relativity as an excuse for why he was late and bloated, and the other physicists just went with it. By the time it was discovered what had happened, Einstein was the most famous physicist around and they kept it going rather than risk undermining their most respected scholar. THE WORLD IS ROUND = It isn't I'm afraid. It's flat. But it's not static, the land is constantly moving across it like a . Hence we get night and day, night is when the belt is on the underside of the Earth. This also explains why some long-haul flights take less time on the way back than the way there or vice versa. Planes are either going the opposite way to the direction of travel of the belt, or trying to accelerate in the same direction, which takes longer. SCHRODINGER'S CAT = It was actually a ferret, but 'Schrodinger's ferret' just sounds wrong. And a little bit rude. Also, it was dead. GENERAL ANAESTHETICS = These don't actually do anything, they're a money-making scam by pharmaceutical companies. People undergoing surgery fall asleep of their own accord as operating theatres and surgeons are kept as boring as possible.

have you tried using a tyre calculator?

I test drove one a while ago and I've been in ones after this, I'm only 5ft10 and I thought it was hella cramped from a driver point of view... I don't mean...confined and sporty...I mean somewhere you wouldn't wanna spend a long time in lol. I drove mine to the south of france and back again and i'm 5'10 i didn;t find it cramped at all, your legs are out in front of you your arm rests on the transmission tunnel and everything is at your finger tips. i kid you not, you don;t have to take your hands off the wheel its designed that you can hit everything but the radio while still holding the wheel. the speedo is designed so you can glance and know exactly what the cars speed and rev is. and with my hip i found it aolt more comfortable than the zed as the driving position is better. the zed used to set my hip off. its as close as driving in a race car cockpit while still being comfortable. because everything comes up high around you; when pushing hard it can sometimes feel like a single seat racer. I love your posts and your banter AMT but i'm going to have to say wrong wrong wron g wrong wrong ....true but this is IMHO so you're not really wrong, just different perspective from me

one of the insurers off here used to stipulate that before they would even look at insuring you that you need a 12 months of experience in the car. so basically go somewhere else, and if you haven't written the car or yourself off then we'll look at you. they are basically saying they thing the car is more than you can handle safely and they won;t touch you till you've proved yourself...in this case its your lack of experience in RWD. they think you'll spin out and spank it. therefore they don;t want to touch you.

thats pretty cool -
It was a bad con on their behalf. From memory it was a max power car, but they spanked it up badly, so decided to repair it, do it up and give it away. A bit like giving a baby a mouse trap and a tazer as a gift.

zeds biggest enemy is its weight; crumb if your looking for a track toy the S2000 is a good option if a little lacking in the torque factor.but its swings and roundabouts with these cars, you have to sacrifice something to gain in other areas. as for the op and the difference between the 3 models, with regards to speed, they are much of a muchness. on a track they'll all finish about the same time. with not alot between them. biggest difference is the quality of drive. think of the early zed as the raw unrefined starting point, and the following models more refined and smoother versions as they progress.

i'm not sure contact cleaner is as good as carb cleaner. carb cleaner is designed for the carbon buildup and oily crap found in an engine. contact cleaner is basically for light grease on exposed metal contacts. and as the MAF is resin encased i'm not sure its the best choice.
