  1. I haven't even got them fitted yet and you're being a complete vulture..... what is this forum coming to?
  2. For a 5/16 yes, but if you space higher then you're hitting the hood. 1/2" is pretty useless in design, either no strut or get a APS. Bit of a boo boo by Motordyne to be honest.
  3. I think you'll need a APS strut if I'm not mistaken, as that sits further to the front of the plenum. This "may" be your only option?
  4. I used to work in Kingston some moons ago. Used to live in St Margarets.
  5. I was in your town today Mr GT4. Back tomorrow afternoon of you want to drop by Carl's place
  6. Is it as good story as your email account I'm afraid the story would be nowhere near as amusing as my mail account. An employment agency once said "so, your email address here is, erm, okay, I don't think can read that out right now" I agreed and said probably wise that I get a "professional" email address for work But sorry Wasso goes back a long way and really isn't funny but was at the time.
  7. It's been my nickname for 24 years. Long story how it was born and very boring.
  8. Thanks all, caliper guys have worked solid on these to create the finished article. Remember they started off like this......
  9. Cheers matey. Says the man with the latest delivery of Crispy Doughnuts!!
  10. Looks like it, but if so I'll get Jaynes nail varnish out
  11. Herewith the finished product. Hats off to the guys at The Brake Caliper Specialists. They've gone beyond their standard paint database to provide the Candy Apple Red. Custom stencils - artwork done by "Cal" - so thanks matey for those. They're heading down to me for Wednesday and the plan is to have them fitted Friday. Enjoy..... comments welcome. I'm sure pictures don't do them justice, especially with this sort of paint finish.
  12. Sooooo, I took a morning out (with the Mrs as the taxi driver) and collected said 159 from Frimley Green on Sunday. Here she is sat outside the house with Suzi, don't they look sweet I can't believe how comfy the ride is, how relaxed, and a nice place to be. All I needed was a Hamlet cigar and I'd have thought I was at home. No noise, no bumps, no exuberant accelerating, just smooth chilled out driving. I hope I'm not getting old Managed to get 45mpg from the relaxing drive, so already saving some pennies
  13. What happened? Where has NEO gone???? Oh sorry National Events Organiser, sorry I'll get my coat Congrats Mudman
  14. It won't be for sale as it will end up in another project thereafter.
  15. If you apply a coating of wax (a wax with a higher content of carnauba) buff off, apply another coat 24hrs later and then buff, you'll avoid having to clean All the time. If you apply the wax every 4 weeks and clean with a speed detailer it won't oxidise.
  16. Actually I should mention what part of the M25 Between Staines and M3 turn off anti clockwise. The roads were nice and clear this morning
  17. Okay sounds like your plenum has oxidised. Don't panic...... Best product and you'll have arms like bisons rear legs, but use AutoGlym Metal Polish. Autosol is too harsh and will cloud the finish.
  18. Black or Midnight couldn't tell but the police were behind you on the hard shoulder with the "blues" lit up like Christmas tree's. Hope it wasn't anything illegal
  19. Pull towards you only. It probably has never been removed and therefore a night tight. Pull it, what's the worst that can happen, apart from your entire dash coming away lol. If you follow the lines of the central dash you'll feel that edge at the top. Get your fingers placed on that edge/lip and pull towards you, head height so to speak. But take into account there's a wire that connects the triple gauges to the dash, so don't pull more thank 10".
  20. You could be right there Steve. I'm already on the look out for upgrading some bits. I'll take the new tyres off, donate them to a Gokart track and get some winter tyres shoved on. Then get some nice wheels for the summer with some MPS's - they are such a brilliant tyre.
  21. If you squint your eyes at the number plate it almost reads Wendy, so that's how that happened. Although I may call her "you little ****er" for not being reliable. We shall see. RAC fully up to date, not used it for a long while so I should have plenty of recoveries available at my disposal
