  1. Good day to you all..... Today was the inaugural moment to test fit the dash!! Took out the stereo, and all heater controls and fitted to the new custom made dash. Fitment is pretty good. I've got a bit of work to do with the heater control box, as it's now rubbing on some plastic stability parts inside the dash. Shouldn't cause a problem as it's only for internal rigidity which isn't needed with the iPad dash. Here is the dash without the iPad installed. Then testing the iPad holder in it's location, which hasn't been cut to size or modified and it's not far from being perfect. Then with the iPad on, just for the effect. Next stage is to adjust the areas inside the dash which are rubbing against heater controls. The white box behind is miles away from the controls which I'm really pleased about. Then rub down the area in which the iPad holder will reside ready for fitment. Once fitted it will be bonded in place, as well as the upper and lower dash, which will be bonded to make one unit. I've checked the two screws which hold the middle of the dash to the car, and they are hidden behind the iPad holder, which was planned. So I'll drill two holes in the holder for access to securing the dash to the car. Then, reinforce the dash now that it's a single unit. Next stage is to fine tune the holder in the dash, with filler, sanding, priming and then painting.
  2. I'm probably not the best to answer, but if you enlarge the TB surely the Plenum would need changing also. I'm presuming it's diameter change that we're talking.
  3. Erm wow, that is quick. Winter months and a low sun looks tricky. It's tricky enough playing golf in winter and spotting the ball in the Rays of the sun, let alone finding the track at 100+ I would say can't wait for a ride, but I'd probably poop my pants!
  4. I know what you mean, I see a total disregard for other road users every day, and when you drive 800 miles a week you get a fair share of arseholes!! Rubber neckers are my pet hate. Some blatantly slowing to a stop and there's a gap of 100ft from the car in front, I'm tooting flashing and the idiot is more interested in seeing the crash on the opposing carriageway. Drives me insane!!
  5. Luckily Bob doesn't move THAT quick so you had plenty of time
  6. It's a stark realisation isn't it of just how life can be so short for some. So bloody sad. So nice to see that people on this forum who may have never seen or even spoken to Martin, but are still all thinking of the poor chap.
  7. PMSL. Funny as a lot of people ask what's in the Zed in standard form.
  8. Loving all of that ha ha. Especially FRY
  9. Not sure she's going to be a sleeper to be honest. 19" Super Concave Rims 8/6 Pot Candy Apple Red BBK BodyKit Slight Tint windows. Hmmmmm I'm going to mail DVLA see what comes of that, then make a decision on one of the suggestion in the thread. Oh and thanks to all who have contributed. I'm no good at plate design lol
  10. Somehow I'd knew you'd be along! I've just ordered one in black, it'll look great with my bulge bonnet and dishy spokey alloys! Funny you say that, I've just popped a deposit down for the full kit
  11. Clearly you don't post enough to get into Steel Lynx's criteria, shame on you Happy Birthday to YA fella
  12. Who would have been 29 today. Thoughts with his family today.
  13. Ahhh cool cheers Ian, I'll give that a bash.
  14. Not into converting digits and spacing but I could make an exception to the rule. A L53 ZED
  15. I'm clearly no good at number plates, good find I'm guessing that's in the £250 range
  16. Cool, sounds like a plan Sir, I'll drop them a mail
  17. Interesting find. I tried to find ages ago WA55O ZZ but couldn't find it. Andy - 100%!! Totally with you on that one. I also need to cater for my Jap Style plate too, so WA55O ZZ would end up as.... WA55 OZZ So this gave me the idea for the LS theme.
  18. Hence a bit of character without looking obnoxious.
  19. I can't afford it with my Xmas wish list (see "What are you buying your Zed for Christmas" thread) but it's within the Mrs budget for me
  20. Wouldn't that be cool though?!, ....I mean because your Zed will be technically a "sleeper car" with the LS3 in side it that won't be noticeable until you press the loud pedal. Ahhhh now I'm seeing the potential now, hmmmm. I'm not one for spending a fortune on a plate, so the price is right. Xmas is just round the corner...... If no other suggestions come up and LS03ZED can't be found I think I may do the ZZZ version
  21. So you went for them then told YA Bob was the man! The Wheel Man!!
  22. Okay cool on the insurance thing, but was it ever released which is why I question this, esp as it can't be found. Yup seen LS03ZEO, tempted want it to be 100% right. Now, LS03ZZZ isn't bad, but for me ZZZ reminds me of sleeping, and we don't want a sleeping LS3 lol. I even tried Euro Car Parts, where you enter the reg and it works out what car it is, even there it said "nope!" Not recognised. Suggestions always welcome I always like Wizards plate, but can't remember what it said was cool though.
  23. I'm sure there's somewhere on the tinterweb that allows you to see what vehicle a Reg Plate is currently on. I've got one in mind for Suzi ref the LS3, BUT, I've got a feeling it was never made as I can't seem to find it. Was thinking..... LS03 ZED Any ideas?
