  1. This sort of thing occurs all over the world, not sure what all the fuss is about?
  2. you'll be fine - you've given him a date - and since when has he ever managed to be on time let alone the right weekend That's a point made VERY WELL!! Well I will be doing something in the engine bay to reflect this....... it will be a small surprise, but just something to bring Japan and the USA together It's on the shopping list, so it's not purchased as yet, but has been selected..... why do you ask?
  3. Suzylut..... that's just wrong. Yes you too Mr G, I'm sure we shall have some banter and put your electrical skills to test!! Cheers Ady...... (Oh and upside down Bennett - if anyone see's him, we've got everything fitted just fine )
  4. Okay ladies and gents, the amazing conversion from Suzi to Suzanne is soon to commence. On Saturday (17th January 2015) Suzi will be losing her heart but will be gaining a pumped up, high octane heart to continue her future life. Suzi said that she wasn't too bothered that she was going to become "10 years younger" and blushed at the thought of additional horses. Don't believe for one minute this is going to be a weekend job, but as the proceedings commence this weekend her heart of 114k miles will be removed, and replaced with the LS3 V8 6.2 litre engine from a 2010 Corvette from America. This project assisted by Bizz and delivered by Bob and Chris will create hopefully a really enjoyable car. Not just for power, but for the sound as well. Whilst the VQ will be removed and partially replaced by the LS3 over the weekend, the work will have only just commenced. The additional fabrication and electrical wizardry to make her run will take many weeks. A company local to the Zed Shed will be looking after the electronics, custom headers and exhaust, ECU connectivity and installation of other required electronics, such as the Race Dash. Suzanne I hope will be ready some time in April, where she will be fitted with new brakes, new wheels, and blessed with a fresh heart. The work doesn't stop there. I have plans for the interior, such as seats. A totally custom rear bumper and then the power increase once I'm convinced that 450bhp (depending on dyno report) and 424 Ib-ft of torque is boring If that be the case, some trick CAMS for starters to bring the level up to 500+ but then if I'm still feeling like a child and want to eat all the cake, then all that's needed is a SC to be slapped on for stupid power. Anyway, I've just received notification the all important parts will be delivered to me tomorrow ready for the drive down to Dorset. Excited........nah.......fecking over the moon!! Let the story commence!! (Oh and if anyone wants to head down to the Zed Shed over the weekend, you're more than welcome to watch and banter the day(s) away)
  5. I've seen better to be honest. Finish isn't perfect and the lacquer looks a bit rough.
  6. I'll be at the Zed Shed for the next few months
  7. And if you're like me and a freak at roller coasters.... www.rcdb.com
  8. We did August and it was the most painful experience. Even leaving the villa to get into the vehicle was a dash and run to the driveway. One had to get in the vehicle, get it running, AC ON! Then dash back to the Villa to cool down again. It was truly mental. They say that once the thunder comes, it rains for 3 minutes and dries up the humidity is reduced. That's a load of Bull, it didn't make any difference what so ever.
  9. You WILL be knackered from THAT list!! Oh yes and humidity, bloody hell, it's very uncomfortable. We went early August.
  10. Ha ha Ponderosa..... eat as much as you like for minimal bucks. Loads to choose from, but it's not exactly quality. Breakfast at Wendy's is great, if you want to get FAT for reasonable bucks. I'm trying to think of the chain of restaurants that serve a CRACKING steak!...... erm.........Applebee's that's it..... stunning steak! http://www.applebees.com/
  11. I raise your Hulk ride with, - Spider man ride. The 4D one? If so, yes it was VERY good, but I'm more into my white knuckle rides.
  12. Incredible Hulk - Universal. That' is all.
  13. Erm yes basically. I'm just the financier and supplier of parts and vehicle. Which is why I've left the technical parts to others. But from what you've said and have understood this far yes it's for connectivity of the cabin. IF a standard DE can do the job them perfect.
  14. I did question this "sniffing" and found it all to be a bit strange. It all made sense when it was explained to me Thanks for the offer Jim - I think lol Paddy that would be great if you could I'll keep this thread active, but to be fair there isn't a wealth of Revup cars in the UK, especially forum based or making it even tougher within a region. This F1 guy is of course always away and so annoyingly he just couldn't make this weekend.
  15. The company who will undertake the custom elements of my LS swap were hoping to "sniff" my electronics/ECU this weekend. The guy who's going to do the task works in F1 and will take a few hours to read the electronic elements of the zed, but can't get down till the end of Jan. The issue here is that my car by then won't be in VQ format and will house the LS. The favour in return of a bloody good drink will be to get to the BH22 area (Ferndown) for the end of the month. Day to be confirmed. Basically all they will do is connect a fancy computer to your car (must be REVUP as above) and "sniff" Codes and various elements of the electronics. Once read, that's it. Those who are potentially available please make yourself know. Cheers in advance
  16. I know m8. You did my Spacer several months ago and my black JDM was parked at the same spot in the pic sorry matey I didn't recognise your username
  17. Nice pic matey. Thanks for the beers I'm actually having one now More than happy to help in the future. If you're also in the area again, just drop in. When you say "reading" you mean you're nowhere near the end
  18. Good to meet you today matey, very much enjoyed discussing your line of work and a totally genuine bloke. Pleasure to have met you. Your Zed by the way, rims, oh yes!! You've got a great looking car there. Just to let you know, I could hear you at the end of the road, you would have turned left and I still hear your exhaust right up to 4th gear. Very nice Don't forget, here if you need any further assistance, tips or advice. Happy Zedding Fella P.S. Jayne said Viper was so sweet. Ha ha.
  19. That's a shame as I think a lot of people quite enjoyed this.
  20. Not that I entered, but enjoyed the competition, but I guess this has sort of fallen off the radar. Wasn't there going to be a end of year finale with the monthly winners?
