  1. A stones throw sir haha. Knowing Chris and Bob they will be itching to project and get in the shed whilst I'm away till next weekend.
  2. Sorry I should also give a big thanks to Vlad for driving me home as well. Quite enjoyed a SC ride home, although my waist doesn't quite fit his bucket seats so well. Tight was the most suitable word. Can't wait for next weekend!!
  3. Thank you all to who turned up to support and work their balls of to make Saturday work to schedule. It couldn't have happened without you, so a big thanks to community support. Bob and Chris thanks gents, a cracking start to the weekend and all seems to be going very well. Thanks also for the hospitality from the Keyser family. You're all amazingly great fun and hospitable. Great also to see Graham Colin and Will who I've not seen since Sep 13 due to a hectic life style and many changes in life etc. good to see you guys. Suzi is coming along nicely - seems strange with her not being parked outside my house. I feel separated although she's not that far away. Updates to follow further next weekend with the rest fit of the engine. Thank you also to those who've posted in support.
  4. No worries Darren. its a long way for a doughnut lol. We will be on Jon next weekend also, depending on the tasts. I'll update here as and when what's happening. Well, I'm awake - nobody else is. Gonna get a cup of coffee. I'll also ask about the TV stream lol
  5. There will be no need for heavy machinery..... (I hope!) In the morning it's gonna happen! OMG! I actually felt kind of sad the sweet sound of the VQ will go, the gear shifting of the zed, the throttle response, the clutch...... But I'm sure the new experience when it's complete will make her into a totally different car. See y'all tomorrow
  6. That's surprising as you say. I would have expected at least another Zero on the end. As the article claims, 9 drivers out of 10 admit to speeding, apart from Dan of course I'm just glad the M40 isn't listed for insertion of these pests. Probably as there's hardly any gantries on the M40...... but still I'm sure they will spend a complete fortune erecting them to cash in on those who will flaunt the speed limit.
  7. If not, then I'll be changing mine like a SHOT!!!!!
  8. Am I right or wrong the 4 lights must be amber for the MOT/Road Safety. I'm sure I read something somewhere that stated they cannot be any other colour than amber?
  9. Not sure I'd be welcome. It would be like turning up in a drag outfit only to find out a man is lurking underneath. I can just see Nissan now fumbling to work out why my VQ looks so different to the rest
  10. We've not actually selected any sensors yet. I guess the main event is sort of taking the limelight at the minute. I'm overly fussed what I see as the important ones will be looking to have running inside the car as oem. We shall see what occurs and as the sensors are fairly cheap get them nearer the time of fitment.
  11. Ian - this is the dash I've selected http://www.race-technology.com/dash2_2_31.html Total including adapter etc £720 I believe.
  12. Okay so that means a LOT of doughnuts are needed. Might even bring a few cans of beer
  13. Do you want me to *cough* as you stroke it Would be great for you to be there matey.
  14. Well, we do actually have a job task for you that I know you're a pro at. Walbro 255 This isn't the only weekend, but probably the most exciting which could lead to disappointment, sorry I mean challenge. We plan to be fully complete by April (no specific date)
  15. Don't say that, I'm putting the GEMS EM80 in the Zed running the LS! http://www.gems.co.uk/?content=pages&id=em80 It's running a whole new Chipset.
  16. I'll see if Chris can setup the ZedShed TV station again
  17. Cheers Zeus, I think we may need all that encouragement to get past the "challenges" as notified by my Chief Mechanic. I like to be different and I've basically saved over two years to get this far. Glad that I can please fellow members with a project of interest.
  18. I know it's crazy all this waiting. Planning, discussing, all with the fear of will it won't it. The issue being this is an easy swap in America. In England it's a whole different ball game. The advantage for Bizz was his car is purely drift spec and so unwanted functionality is literally dumped. Where as, mine needs to talk with the CAN and be as oem as possible. As I love my heated seats The time is here and it shall be a great laugh to progress an engine swap with mates and achieve the ultimate goal. Can we also swap for a Curry this weekend.....
  19. Cheers I will wet myself I think...... Hearing a VQ start up for the first time is pleasurable but a V8 should make my man sausage erect
  20. you'll be fine - you've given him a date - and since when has he ever managed to be on time let alone the right weekend That's a point made VERY WELL!! Well I will be doing something in the engine bay to reflect this....... it will be a small surprise, but just something to bring Japan and the USA together It's on the shopping list, so it's not purchased as yet, but has been selected..... why do you ask? I need one for my project - if we get 2 lots with sensors there could be scope for a discount Okay let me track down the one I've selected. I'll post up later.
  21. I promise you, you're not, I spoke to him yesterday I think you're that excited you forgot it was Tuesday we spoke
