I think we past was it the Toby Jug? Had a very small seating area outside, although fancied something a little more remote. I live near Solihull and we fancied a long drive and had never been to the Malvern Hills, so though it would be good to have a gander. And seeing to Azure's on the same road clearly indicates taste!! Although 2nd choice was Ebisu

My word, I've been spotted!! Or tracked down.... nice to meet ya. Could you tell I was lost?! We were trying to find a nice country pub - but failed misserably!
-
Where the heck do you obtain Lion waste? Pet's R us?
-
Are you suggesting you cover the car in Lion crap/pee?? Nice? That would keep me away also!!
-
I also have a long trip in August - to include the Ring, estimating 2,200 miles... Looks like the autobhans will be driven slower than expected if the prices are that high!!
-
I'm exactly the same - had to fit my Arc induction kit at a mates!! Told her somebody was throwing it away!! Actually told her in the end, proceeded to show her my modification and she couldn't even spot it under the bonnet, so looks like I could mod away without her even noticing what's what under the bonnet!!

Ah I see now... I thought it would be an automatic adjustment. Well I suppose it gives me an idea of the additional performance. Well it's def put a smile on my face. I am dead cert now just to go for the high flow cats, instead of a full exhaust system. I don't want to ruin the noise of my new modification. Any comments on the Motordyne high flow cats? As I want to go for the full Motordyne manifold and plenum install, which would be good to keep some similarity with the HFC's.

I know this sounds daft or it could be my imagination although there sure is something extra. I'm probably talking a load of twodle here - although we didn't disconnect the battery when fitting the induction - I'm just wondering if the ECU still thinks the old filter is attached. Not sure - although I could swear there is a very slight improvement 3.5k onwards. A rolling road test will of course prove that, which will be coming along soon with the re-map.
-
I've gota be honest I can't put the car down since the install. The sound is phenomenal!! I even popped out to lunch today - avoided the two closest McDonalds and chose one that allowed me to boot it down a couple of Dual Carriageways. I’d recommend this unit to anyone!!
-
That would be good - let me know when available. Cheers

Purchased my ARC induction kit a fair few months ago and decided it was about time the little beast was fitted. Undertaken in less than 2 hours without too much hassle, apart from the awkward placement of certain fixings. I have to say the sound is very pleasing - I wouldn't say there are any major gains in the power department - although I wasn't expecting any until a re-map is undertaken. Next is the NOS alongside the re-map some time in the next couple of months. Although I am debating on which is more important, a new sofa or NOS? I am still debating the exhaust issue, although I am slightly being drawn towards high flow cats. Future pics and details to follow: Here's the before and after pics of the install. Before : After : I am also looking into dressing the engine in of course Blue, so if anyone has any parts for sale let me know.

Dave, I can't say no more than AMAZING! The sound seems fine from the (poor video) although it's there to remind you of the power it's pumping to those real wheels. Just be dead carefull with all those ponies under the bonnet. Cracking figures, I can only say I'm dead jealous - looking forward to seeing and hearing your car at the next meet. Not sure about those wheels though. Looks like they weren't meant for the mean car you now own! Abbey have done you proud!!

Just make sure the digger and pickup don't hang around too long for you to modify them!!! -
Andlid, my word that would scare anyone away! Especially the competition. A tad LOUD for me. Although had I want to wake the neighbours on my way home at night, I'd def have them just for the fun of it.

MLC35 - well - the meet went ahead and I have to say only a small majority had tampered with their Exhaust. Although FakeIndian was there and the Scorpion Exhaust was nice, although I couldn't live with the rasp. It's a bit much for me. Nice, but not my cup of tea. The Nismo Exhaust, can't think who had that installed (too many names to comprehend) that was nice. Middle of the range sound, no rasping, although a nice deep warble at tickover. Since the meet, I have been on youtube and been looking at umpteen various other exhausts, I am still non the wiser as to which exhaust will suit my needs. The 5zigen exhaust is a possibility, prices are a little high, and I'm not sure what you get for a grand, whether it be just the back section or y-pipe as well? I really don't want to just point an exhaust and fit, and I'm dying to get the ARC induction kit fitted and re-map. I think I may go mad?!

Spotted heading north with Nismo tail 5:45pm today.

A friend of mine owns a Type R 2002 - loves it. It's a good sprinter, keeps up fairly well with my Z. The thing is like a greyhound. Although his car is 55stone lighter - which is quite a lot. So buck for bhp and performance - good car. He's running 80k miles on it and recently took the car to Honda, they said an exceptional example. Therefore if you are thinking of buying, take a good look round till you find the one you want. He paid just over 5k for his. The other good thing is that a SuperCharger bolt on is fairly cheap! Rapid! A shame the Z had to go, I don't think I could contemplate actually not owning my Z - god forbid the day she does have to go.....
-
Looks like it's been date raped!
-
That's one very clean Z. I thought mine was shinny, but that knocks spots off mine. Back to the drawing board. Although I have to say, you didn't do a good job of cleaning the drive way like I had to - it was a nightmare driving onto my piddly drive with just 2mm of snow on it!! (Going to purchase those products you mentioned - state of the art!)

I've owned my Azure 56 plate for nearly 9 months and have minimal regrets: I used to experience water draining from the roof onto my inner door panel and leg from my previous car (due to the car having no roof gutter). I was really looking forward to the ZED and enjoying dry legs. Therefore my biggest pet hate is when you have the window open and a roof load of rainwater then poors in like a waterfall! It drives me mad. I have purchased a window squegee thing that I use to wipe the standing water from the roof of my car before I set off in the mornings. Alike other posts, the mod list is crazy - I'd love to turbo/supercharge her up, make her look elegant and sophisticated, yet eats a porsche for breakfast! Hoping Nitrous will assist with my requirements. I have to agree the boot lid issue is a little annoying, especially in high winds. Once or twice I have been almost killed by my own car! The other regret is that I didn't buy one sooner. I scoured the land (via internet) for nearly 6 months and then bought the first one that I saw as a potential sale. The car was better than expected which is why I made the purchase. I had driven 3 other Z's previous to this from showrooms (just cos I couldn't wait for the funds - so had a little fling now and again). I am keeping my eye on the price of the GTR and it very slowly comes down in price - so I anticipate a purchase within 2 years.
-
Nice one! 5zigen is a name I have been looking at - price is good also. I have also looked at customized exhausts and as mentioned easy swaps for MOT time. It's a torn subject at the moment as there are a number of posibilities. I am going to have a good listen myself at the Midlands meet on the 21st March - so I am very keen to purchase. I have my ARC induction awaiting application so once I have chosen the exhaust and purchased I will then fit the ARC and get a re-map.
-
Can't make it....I will be in Europe for 10 days (Gutted!) It looks wicked!
-
This is some seriously damn fantastic Z porn! Some serious wedge has been spent on these superb examples.... I wish that I had never bought my Z now as it's giving me idea's, and I know that would be the end of holidays, a wedding and so on.....
-
Good point - for the record we shall be shopping in various clothes and hand bag shops for the girls in the cities that we visit, with multi cultural restaurants and vivid nightlife! That should keep them happy.....
-
Well, the ladies are part and parcel of the whole drive, they have no choice. We are only taking them to the glacier to check out something interesting. The rest of the drive is basically male orientated. Anyway the girls come in handy for cooking - as this is purely a camping trip to cut costs.
