I know it sounds bonkers, although would like to clean my steering wheel, this being the leather part of the wheel. I had a thought that my Leather Seat solution would be ideal for this, as the steering wheel is wrapped in leather. Although, I thought I'd punt the question to see what other members use to clean their steering wheel?!

The heaters from WON are £146 each - so thats nearly £300 just to warm the laughing gas!! There must be a cheaper alternative! "I wouldn't want to be on the same road as you!"
-
The bottles are suspended from the roof area of the glove box, rather than being placed on the floor of what used to be the glove box. I'd need to wrap the bottles with the heater. WON do sell them, although expensive. The bottles work at a Optimum level of around 1000psi. I left the car in direct sunlight yesterday afternoon and the bottles achieved that. So imagine a nice hot car, and that's how warm that area needs to be. True, if they were in direct sunlight they could potentially tip over a safe psi!! Kabooooom!! I wouldn't want to be seated in the passenger seat if they went off

Hmmm would there be enough heat coming from this module..... although the seat appears warm when sat on, the air above the seat is not, not sure it would be good enough to heat the glove box area?? Good idea, and worth a punt! I was thinking about adapting the heating system in the car to have a by-pass to the glove box, that I could turn on and off independently?? Sounds a bit of a bold idea! Might find something at maplins maybe that I could just plug into the 12v socket behind the drivers seat. Might have to chat with you on this Husky at the next Midlands meet.

Since my re-map I now have WOT in all gears. The limiter has been increased to 7,200 - and since installing the NOS I still give it beans to 6,500 and change prior to 7,000. I've never really found 1st to 2nd a major issue, you've just got to make sure you press the clutch down, as when you drive with a heavy right foot you tend to depress the clutch less to try and get that quicker gear shift. Just make sure you press the clutch down far enough to avoid any grinding or crunching of the gears. I also find that if when applying 2nd gear you are at 4k revs, 2nd gear just slots in perfect! I also will be looking at a clutch soon as I have recently hit 40k miles on the clock so I am expecting a failure or wearing at some point soon.

No problem and thanks for the offer anyway, I did actually see a GM Z pass me by as I was sitting on the railing outside the station, I thought it was you, but then thought, hold on, there's no body kit and looks darn standard. I think the plate was ****JKK or something like that. The NOS as a stop gap doesn't have to be such a medium term install. Something Nurrish mentioned "with a supercharger you are always active and always using fuel" This same rule applies to the Turbo. I guess it depends on how you wish to proceed. I suppose NOS can appear as a cheap alternative, although my benefits are that I can cruise as a normal car 95% of the time, enjoying the car without hooning it. It's so simple to just turn on and off when required. Only downside that I can foresee is that in winter the PSI pressure of the bottle will fall too low and thus I cannot activate. So I was thinking this morning about installing some kind of heating system to the glove box. There's still plenty of room so it's to the drawing board I go. Thanks for the comments otherwise....I am very pleased with the install.

It's advised to start at 25 to ensure there are no issues and to fine tune. From there you go in stages, although I may be able to jump to 75 with my next jets.

They are the solenoids - they provide the juice from the bottle to the air induction pipe. They will spray variable amounts of laughing gas into the intake, dependant on gear, rev range and so on. Mark's set it all up and it works fantastic - very smooth delivery. Yes that is the "GO" switch. Enable the bottle flick the switch and the Max Controller will light up, feeding me data about bottle pressure, RPM and bottle volume/contents. From here I'm set to go, although any revs maintained under 4k and I'm not yet using the system. So, I can activate on the way home, if I feel that some chav wants a short sprint, just take over the 4k mark and hey presto! Simples. I just want 75 shot now to give me that super extra punch.
-
I don't know if it's due to the additional mods that I have - although Mark was sure to keep the brighter side of 100. I'd like to trust the professional rather than just hoping it won't tip over the edge.
-
Hope this works: Just as I gave it the first set of beans at 3k the wind blows, there's then a 5k hit and a further 3k hit. I think I may have to move the camera round to get a direct blast - as it sounds slightly tame in the video shot. Let me know your comments.
-
I've got two bottles at 5Ib each - in the glove box too! So there's plenty of juice there available! Will be upgraded very soon to the 50 or 75 shot. Not recommeded to go for the 100 due to the torque levels it produces, including the mods I have on the car.

On low revs it's a nice warble.... 3k and it opens up - 4.5k it screams!! I'll try and get a video of it and post up. I can't tell if it's raspy in the drivers seat, and I'd be keen to know that it's not raspy. A friend of mine said it now sounded like a drag car!!! Although I best get a video so that I know for myself also.

All purchased and fitted by Abbey - great service. In terms of the technical specifications I haven't got a clue - although I've followed the advice of the professionals. I guess it all depends on budget? My budget was streched quite some.... although the install and benefits of the work are very satisfying!

I've just had my XYZ pipe fitted with de-cat pipes - pictures found here..... viewtopic.php?f=30&t=28423&start=90 Sounds - even with standard back section!

I know what Variable Valve Timing is all about - I clearly wasn't reading your message - I didn't clock the VVTI - and too the two VV's as W - Eyes are going bad!! Drives nice - Exhaust is perfect considering all that's changed is the Y pipe and taken cats off. Give the stock exhaust a perfect note. Soon as you open it right up the exhaust let's off big time! The NOS I haven't managed to get running I believe. The pressure was 850psi, which is a bit low, due to the car being in the shade and kept cool. Soon as I parked up in the sun it went over 1000psi which is a better temp to run. So as far as the graphs show, I get power at 4k, although I'm yet to experience a slight power increase when driving. I'll give it a bash today. I will be sure to purchase some new jets soon!!!

WTI? What's that? No high flow cats on the first graph....

Right here we go - I've updated the Dyno Charts thread viewtopic.php?f=25&t=24431&start=15 Herewith the PICS! They are ordered by Exhaust, Plenum, Nitrous. I love it - I've not yet tested the Nitrous myself - although I will be doing today on this super sunny day!! I now have no money!! A VERY BIG - THANK YOU to Abbey for the work done - it's A1 quality, and the clean install of all modifications along with the the Nitrous are sensational! It was also great to meet some of the team - and be given a full run down of the mods, charts, performance and how to understand the running of the nitrous. The nitrous will only kick in at 4k until 7.2k which is apparently the best option, i.e. kicking in at the peak torque level! Even driving without the Nitrous on the way home, the car felt super quick. I put my foot down at a ton in fifth and the car just went bonkers! I wasn't expecting this much torque/acceleration at a ton. Low down the car is smooth, seems to have more grunt and responses are a lot quicker. The sound - well, I have only upgraded the Y pipe and gone for de-cats, the shocking part is, the sound is awesome!! No need to buy a back section just yet!! Although that will be purely for looks, and weight if I can purchase a nice Titanium unit. Overall, I am dead chuffed - not once did I put the stereo on to listen to music during my 2 hour+ journey home. I stupidly enough even looked over a Lambo on the way home - and just laughed - I was so tempted, but knew I'd have no chance, but that's how it makes you feel. Again - big thanks to Abbey, can't wait to get the upgraded jets for the nitrous so that Mark can really give it some nice figures on the dyno! Although now I need a 2nd job in which to pay for my pride and joy!
-
At last I get to post a dyno report. 2 sets of reports, the first 2 provide analysis after Uprev and Modifications (ARC Induction, Plenum Spacer, XYZ Pipe with Race Cat, De-cat pipes) The 3rd and 4th charts show the improvements over the uprev - which is boosted by Nitrous at a level of 25 shot. I will be moving to 75 shot before August, where again I shall provide further charts Charts Uprev: Charts Nitrous:

Ah nice one Tony, that would be perfect, I can always pick a taxi from there. I'm so excited to see the install and hear and feel the difference with the mods etc. I'll pm you the cost Andlid

I forgot to mention that figure with the NOS is only a 25 shot injector. I've got plans to reach 100 shot over the next couple of months. So with the MOD's and NOS I believe i've gained 43whp. Which I'm rather pleased with.
-
That could save me a couple pounds and time, I will pm you a bit later if that's okay . Gota dash and return my 1.2 corsa back to the car place - I will be glad to hand it back!! The whp figure is with the NOS! I'll get the standard dyno report and after mod's report, with a further report I believe after the NOS. So should see a progress between stages. Cheers!

Well, I'm travelling down from Birmingham by train so I hope to be there before 12pm. Although my connections are being a bit of a pain - Birmingham to Euston, Euston to Victoria, Victoria to Gatwick, Gatwick to Abbey via Taxi - so if you're in the region of Birmingham and fancy a passenger I'd be very grateful. Anyway, I have some figures hot off the press: 313bhp at the fly 283.1bhp at the wheels Although I have been informed my torque figures have improved in excess of the bhp figures. Although I'm sure Mark will give me a full run down tomorrow. So dependant on trains and taxi's and so on - I aim to be there before 12pm, although the journey is scheduled to take 2.5hours.

Keh? NRS?

The car is on the Dyno as we speak - with a view to collect tomorrow! I can't wait - and I'll post photo's and dyno reports once I am back tomorrow evening!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

That's right - it was a test
