  1. I'll put my 2p's worth in. After taking Nurrish's carbon boot there is a slight issue with the cover that should direct the 3rd brake light beam clearly for other cars to see. My issue is that the piece of plastic that sits under the 3rd brake light is angled slightly lower than my old oem. As a result it allows a small amount of brake light (at night) and shines this onto my rear strut. This does not affect the vision of the 3rd brake light from behind, although I get a bright RED illumination on the strut bar and it does in fact distract from what I see out the back. It will be hard to get some kind of picture of this, and the effect it causes whilst looking through my rear window in the mirror. I would suggest if you're going to go down this route not to make the lighting too bright!!
  2. I have seen the adverts for RSR - there's some nice prices to go with hiring their cars as well!! So, Thomas will you be meeting us there for a few laps and beers? Will, don't chicken out at this early stage, get your name down, you know it makes sense. It may be called the "Green Hell" - probably the most dangerous track in the world, but hey ho. Honestly I was expecting there to be untold cars, lunatics and so on, but it was easier and more pleasant to drive than the M25. That's where you get the idiots!! Those who don't have a clue on the road are the highest risk. Luckily you don't get any of those on the ring!
  3. I'm just getting ready for work and thought I'd post a quickie! Words of comment: F••kin he'll they are truly amazing! I now totally understand what a BBK kit can do and to be honest if you want to stop, and stop on a dime then anyone wanting to upgrade should invest! Okay so Bennett has suspension modifications to work along side the brakes but hell Mary I never thought it was possible to defy the laws of physics. My thoughts were that if you increase braking potential then there's the increases chance of locking up. Not once was traction lost neither did the car feel unsettled. It was if the car should of had a BBK kit from the word go. I know what I shall be purchasing next year! Thanks Bennett for scaring the sh•t out of me Amazing
  4. Well, I stumbled across the advert on eBay whilst browsing and of course chuckled. I might give them a bell tomorrow whilst at work - I could do with a laugh
  5. Did anyone get a response to their questions asked regarding the 313 limited edition
  6. +1 Vuvuzela is the one to get - THE MOST annoying noise ever to hit the planet...
  7. Phew!! Gota say it sounds like a nice place.... do you get a butler to go with the property??
  8. This worries me John.... please tell me this "mate" is female
  9. Legal action is going to take an eternity, not only that but the cost also. Unless you are seriously out of pocked I wouldn't bother. If you jump ship without a termination notice period you could be liable, I guess it depends on the security deposit you have left, and whether you want that back or not. I'd walk away from the issues personally, it would of course frustrate me that nothing was ever sorted, but at the end of the day I would look forward to a new property with 5 bedrooms, under floor heating.... Can I ask why you need 5 bedrooms?!
  10. I had a petrol Ford Focus for 9 years and did 150k miles in it. Parts replaced in that time, Brake Pads, Disks, Coil Pack, HT Leads, Spark Plugs, Oil Filters. Not one bulb failed in that time, neither was the exhaust, running gear, or suspension an issue during that time either! I know what I'd go for. I sold my Focus for £400 and that was an X plate.
  11. Sorry to hear this Neil, although if you change your mind the invite will be open. I know what you are saying if you are a keen track day driver, although I think the impression of lunatics on the ring is sorely mistaken. Count the amount of cars seen in this video, and this was August!! (I can't post the video direct at work - so here's a link to my Europe trip page, scroll down and select the first video). viewtopic.php?f=34&t=40837&hilit=european+trip
  12. Paul, you can't take that immaculate car across the water and onto the track Good to see names are getting listed again I was contemplating moving the event and joining in with the ZClub forum - where they are looking to hold their event the end of May beginning of June. The only issue I see with these dates is that it's going to be right behind the Wales trip and if anyone plans an early'ish holiday, I can see June becoming an issue also. I have a feeling the track will be a lot busier by June as well. Therefore I think we should stick with the suggested dates in April. Once the dates are listed on the Nurburgring site, I can then confirm these dates are sufficient. Once everything is in agreement I'd like to get said names booked for the ferry!
  13. i don't agree with it being a common colour, All I see are GM, Sunset and Azure's about the place. Currently on autotrader, of 374 zeds or sale, the most common colour is silver at 115, next is black at 78.............. What those figures actually indicate is that any colour other than Silver or Black is desirable, as those selling clearly want Azure, GM or Sunset

    carbon boot

I have a Sebon boot. As mentioned weight savings are very good. Fit is about 95% perfect although I'm happy with it. If you are looking for the all carbon look then a carbon boot changes the look dramatically!
  15. I attempted to fit mine and got stuck with the strut bar removal (I had the wrong tools!) Since paying out loads of money in the last 12 months, I've decided to fit things myself, if the job is simple etc. I've now managed to go as far as fitting a lower plenum, which gave me a massive boost!! I had no screws or bolts left over, neither were there any missing!! Great feeling of managing this on my own and then onto the next modification that I can install myself There's enough resource on the web, including the forum where I changed my brake pads and removed my stereo, replaced air intake. The only tip I could give is "read carefully" the instructions or guides, and take your time.
  16. It won't be the best in the world, at that price, although for the money it is good value. Like I say I paid £300 for my one years ago, I am running 130bar.
  17. not a bad idea! Problem is it may take a few layers of skin off
  18. My karcher is nearly ten years old, sits outside unprotected and hasn't missed a beat since purchasing. It was £300 when it came out so it was fairly decent. I find it brilliant for giving the car a good soak, getting rid of the dead bugs and giving the alloys, brakes and wheel arches a VERY good clean. It also is very handy for rinsing the car quickly. Not only that but I found it extra handy for clearing the autumn leaves as the jet power sends them over next doors hedge I could live without one but it's one of those handy tools for getting rid of the grass/moss that grows between the paving in the back garden. Worked a treat. Oh ands it's great for cleaning out the BBQ

    Part Out

I know it's nice to keep things on the forum but can you see why I sold my ONE item on eBay. It's so much easier. Saves all the agro. Unless forum admin fancy setting up a proper for sale section that works.
  20. +1 on the Zed ever since it was launched I wanted one and drawled over every one that I saw till I got one.
  21. Not for me. Dream car has to be something well out of your price range such as my dream car....
  22. A mate of mine who is in his words "rubbish" at these games completed it 3 hours. I personally was hoping it would be good as I loved it on the ps2. Black ops will either be VERY good or bad. although I saw an advert for the game on tv and thought it looked rubbish. Although I spend more time online so hopefully it will be wicked!
  23. I admit, they aren't my cup of tea - unless it's the AMG - like I say you need to be a little "old folk" to really like the car. I'm too young for luxury cars just yet....
