  1. I work in West Brom and we got evacuated today from work. Let's hope they've burnt the office down and actually be constructive about it. I had a feeling WB would kick off with their attitude and lifestyle!
  2. We are actually on a car forum, so maybe some cars?
  3. Love the finish on the Audi - great work Tim. Although white car's look funky and modern, they just don't shine like a black car (I'll msg you later about the lance).
  4. nice short summize of NOS. Like it As far as I know NOS isn't volatile, it just reacts to heat and releases oxygen in abundance whilst inside the cylinders. Wiki extract: Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas or sweet air,[1] is a chemical compound with the formula N2O. It is an oxide of nitrogen. At room temperature, it is a colorless non-flammable gas, with a slightly sweet odor and taste. It is used in surgery and dentistry for its anesthetic and analgesic effects. It is known as "laughing gas" due to the euphoric effects of inhaling it, a property that has led to its recreational use as a dissociative anesthetic. It is also used as an oxidizer in rocketry and in motor racing to increase the power output of engines. At elevated temperatures, nitrous oxide is a powerful oxidizer similar to molecular oxygen.
  5. I'd second Chris on that one and then get the mods, cos you will get roped into it at some stage.
  6. If you are technically minded and fancy the installation (which would reduce costs) why not go NOS. You can get pretty much all the same kit I purchased for £1k - this will give you more than 13bhp, I gained around 60 hub horse power. Installation depends on how and who installs it. If you were to improve NA mods, Y pipe, de-cats, replacement air filter, you would potentially gain just over 13bhp, but to achieve this you'd probably spend £1k+
  7. It will sit higher naturally with a carbon boot and no spare
  8. Brian Crower is another brand of forged bits and pieces, see Adam @ Z1 Auto trader on here but in America.
  9. Looks smart Rich, car's looking clean too, especially those alloys which needed some care after I last saw them. I think Pimp is quite apt!
  10. It's only something like the fumes in the tank. They build up and when you unscrew the cap it does as you say gasp/woosh
  11. I believe a 25-50 shot doesn't need retarding but 75 is advisable and 100+ must be retarded.
  12. So my timing is retarded, right ok cool You wouldn't lose that much pressure from the bottle from doing just a few runs. I used a full 5lb bottle in Wales and only like you say when it got low in volume did I lose pressure. You can hit 4 5th's of the bottle over 850 psi and that was without a bottle warmer. Ok so outside temps were warm which I rely on, but still managed great hits throughout the day. Apparently the reason I melted a plug was because I did two runs from 2nd gear all the way to fifth which generated far too much heat. I'm thinking water meth might help solve that problem in the future.
  13. Funny what you get told by a sales clerk these days. I was told you need pulsoids for both throttle bodies and I'm sure a technician at Won confirmed this. Unless with the new pulsoids there's no longer a requirement for 2 sets. Can I ask though, why you suggested retarding the timing for the HR if running 75 shot, yet not for my DE. Lastly how is it possible for nitrous pressure to reduce if it's a continous 920psi (for instance) out the bottle?
  14. Interesting to see a 50/50 split on views. Best thing is to go with what you'd like. At least you'll be pleasing half us lot
  15. So light and strong that's what I like to hear
  16. Correct SA-67r BLC (Black Chrome) Well they are actually duraluminum which I would have thought was a mix of aluminium and some dura whatever "dura"luminam is. Not had a problem with them becoming loose or breaking. There seems to be a low opinion of them yet I've driven the car hard on them with no problems at all. Sure steel is more trustworthy but I don't track the car which is where I beleive the concern is.
  17. Lol why not but then again just helping out. Had to do a lot of research before deciding on the lip and funny enough the wheels. The wheels in the first pic are what I'm saving for @ $2,800 for the 4 not including customs The wheel nuts are Rays duraluminum! Saved 1kg of weight putting those bad boys on!
  18. Christ they look a spit of mine. Short wheel nuts though
  19. Without black lip With black lip WIN!!
  20. Retarding the timing is the key element. Not that my timing is retarded Also running two pulsoids for both throttle bodies will give you more direct and precise hit. Splitting the juice is just cost saving.
  21. Hmmm that'll bump the price a bit - well spotted Neil. You'd need 4 pulsoids for a start, additional splitter blocks. If that was me I'd skip the Wet system and go for direct port. Which is a bit more expensive but gives a better hit.
  22. Can I as why you are having a Zex shipped in? Something you like or have heard about their equipment. The reason I ask is that you can get NOS'ed up in the UK.
