  1. I'm surprised these haven't been added as they are probably the most popular. What is the best mod?
  2. True but I think anyone planning an LS2 swap does it for the fact the Zed is transformed and made unique, as well as power. R35 and 996 are still what they are....
  3. + a very long discussion weighing up the costs over turbo/sc. I had a vision of the LS2 way way back, but unless you've got a large amount of wonga in the pocket it's really not worth considering.
  4. Totally chavtastic! Looks like it melted in the oven!
  5. With reference to Colin an his newcomer thread I'd like to say the following from experience. My first ever meet was a local one with those in the Midlands. Hooked up with a mate and drove along. Met some at a local pub before driving onto the main meet point. Was I nervous, yeah slightly because I'd never ever been to a car meet before and didn't know what to expect. A large number of them had been Zed owners for quite some time yet instantly welcomed along, all admiring my stock Zed. We went on shall we say an exuberant drive and learnt there was a lot more than just a Zed badge lurking beneath. But the most utterly amazing part though fairly insignificant and I can still hear it now, which was the sound of some 10 Zeds full chat through the countryside, over hills and valleys. The sound was utterly awesome and that sound is a big player in why we all purchased our Zed's. So from there not too far away was the Wales list, which was mighty bigger than the midlands list. So I popped my name down for the Fri Sat and Sun. Arrived at the Moreton hotel which fully caters for our needs and sat down with a pint with my other half. It wasn't long before other Zed owners joined us outside and asked if we had come along for the meet, and of course yes we had. That was my first meeting of Darren B and madmarky. Who have since then been good mates. The organisation, the roads, hotel, countryside, panorama views and the company in which us Zed fanatics enjoy was absolutely cracking!!! Â Since then Wales is ALWAYS on my list of yearly events and have now been on 3. All have been different and never feel like it's the same old weekend. I now book the Fri and Mon off work to make sure I get the best out of Wales. I urge all those who have never been to pop your name down and to at least stay one night and join in the fun and laughter. You'll never regret it. There are many walks of life on this forum so why not come down, join in and bathe in the sounds of V6's in the hills of Snowdonia. (Colin more than happy for you to pop this in your locked thread if you wish) Come on peeps!Â

  11. I stopped listening to Radio 1 about a year ago, although I now play music from my SD card in the stereo, but have it at a medium level. At such a level I drive normally without any hesitation. If I was to turn the music OFF I end up enjoying the V6 and then my right foot gets excited. So for me the music calms me and reduces the V6 sound somewhat. If I'm driving hard like AK says, the music is for sure OFF!!!

  17. I've opted for Eibach Pro springs, Super Pro Lower Compression bushes and ARB Bushes and to me - it's a nice addition to the feel of the car.
  18. If you fit them and take them off, you should get away with no issues. Although not advisable to remove once fitted. I use the SP lower compression bush and ARB bushes, makes a sizeable difference on stock shocks and Eibach springs. Feels very true and confident.
  19. I use Ultimate Compound, better than swirl-x (if I recall from Darren B's victimisation of his Zed in the light tunnel at Meguiars) to be fair you really must use a DA, it gives superb results. I was using mine today to correct some of the marks on the car since having my bodywork corrected. You can't go wrong with a DA. Here's how good these things are: Before After
  20. What I'm slightly surprised with at the moment is the incoming volume of *new* members to this forum in the last 6 months yet not one newb has placed their name on the list Come on all you new folk, this is probably the best event of the year, some fantastic roads, awesome people and the mingling of like minded idiots that love their 4 wheels so very much. (me included). Don't be shy it's a great weekend. You'll not regret it, trust me!!
