Ha ha Arthr is wicked, he wouldn't leave me alone. Jez had to banish him to the car for the afternoon I was there. Great to see Zed number 3,487 is going well. Hey Bob why aren't you using that special "no need to use water" spray thing? Great success for all....

What sort of cost is that? I want mine done purple to match my wheels & nuts £350 for the lot, but may have VAT on top. The calipers are refurbed and sent back with that price. Godspeed in Wales SMD - see this thread for my inspiration viewtopic.php?f=26&t=59251&hilit=+Calipers -

There's nothing wrong with Red on Azure. It defines their pressence instead of being lost with the same colour as the car. Look at all sports cars, calipers pretty much always are a different colour. The nuts will probably have to change as well but it depends on what the SA60's look like with blue accents against blue. It's and red calipers it wi be a trial and error resolution. -

I've just sent my calipers off to be painted Chilli Red, it's a little expensive but they refurb the calipers and seals all in one price. -

Toilet seat and lid ALWAYS goes down when finished. I had to teach my other half that rule!! Just finished chopping some tree's down, fixed the plumbing, worked on the car and cut the lawn. Time for a relax - now where is my cuppa coffee! -

To be fair it was an afterthought. I had the wheels done and the wheel nuts just looked lost inside the darker colour. So I purchased these only to brighten the rim up a little. It's worked well even though it's not a direct colour match with the Azure paint. They are long nuts, hence they sit flush with the rim face, oem ones would sink back a lot further. They might be up for sale once I get my calipers back from Godspeed. They will be red, so I think the nuts need to follow suit. Might go for the Wedssport Nuts in red for when I eventually get my rims. But then they will have blue accents - so I'm a little undecided at the moment of what colour to go with. (I'll have to make a decision once they are purchased and fitted) -

ALL of the above and whatever comes next. For sure I'd be checking my bits out every second of the day and then investigate a lesbian and see what that's all about. Although I'd eat like a pig cos its only a day (I can see Twobears making an appearance during this thread) -
Revups are poo! They don't dyno at what they should on paper, they don't produce the same gains with NA mods as like the early DE. They can benefit from the MREV2 lower collector, which is basically a modified pre revup lower collector which has the front two collectors modified. It burns oil and costs more to tax. Wish I had the earlier DE but the advantage of the revup (not including GT4) was the facelift improvements. If anything the HR was the car to have, benefits from both the DE and revup and gained the bonnet buldge and twin intakes. 370 for me is quite different in many ways to the 350. Has a lot of positive improvements and some negative in comparison to the 350.

So why would brake cleaner start the car? I agree it would seem to be a fueling, sparking, electrical type issue, but it boggles me that brake cleaner starts the car, why? Its super flammable. There was a spray like this made for diesels when its cold. I never used it as its not good for something in your engine. So if you have an electrical problem - it will start If you have a fueling problem it will still start Okay - so the cleaner is like the defibrillator of the car world. But then after the injection of flammable fluids why doesn't the car not stall after it's go go juice injection? This is real confusing - and a shame the old car doesn't have OBD connectivity!

I would have thought fuel contamination would be a regular event based on the fuel in the tank? Electronics of some sort, but why Brake Cleaner? This is what doesn't add up. Which leads me to think it's either fueling or dirty MAF? That's a fair point, its about £40 for the two on fleebay. I'm really curious as to the purpose of the brake cleaner though, allowing the car to start first time. It's got about 70,000 on a 1.8 petrol. But being the age it is, it could be a number of failing parts? Cheers for the input guys

Okay here's the problem. He owns an old tired Escort Mk 5 which has been enduring very intermittent problems with starting. For instance, it'll turn over but not fire. There is no rhyme or reason for it not starting due to weather conditions or temperature, it just won't start. Although persistent attempts may get it going again. Now, he's been to his local garage and they have tried many resolutions and their fix to the problem is to spray brake cleaner into the air intake and it will start first time. I've researched this approach which could be for 2 reasons. 1. To clean off dirt from the MAF 2. Fueling problems on startup He's been running the car for the last 2 months and not a problem, then all of a sudden the problem comes back. Suggestions I've come to are Faulty/Dirty MAF or Idle Control Valve, or even fueling? As mentioned this is intermittent so might happen today and tomorrow but not again for another week or month. Then it'll come back and repeat for a while. The brake cleaner seems to resolve the problem temporarily but what can be the route cause. Any help would be appreciated.

Was it through treatme.net? I got a driving experience through eBay with them which is at Stafford. I paid about £100 to drive a 360, db9, impreza, evo and a clio on a wet track for hand brake turns. I also got photos of me driving them all and then one printed off ad a part of the package. They also put me in a gallardo first of all by mistake, so I definitely got my money's worth. Just a shame it was all in 3rd and 4th gear, there was no drive out of the corners. That's the one - Stafford treatment.net Again the Evo Scooby thing changed my opinions. Always like the scooby but preferred the Evo on the day. I paid for the in car video, which wasn't that great.

Just for reference, my genuine ChargeSpeed side skirts and rear spats were a perfect fit out the box Bizarre, I wonder if it's because Taras's car was HR? I know the chassis didn't change, but just maybe there were some slight alterations?

The Gallardo is still one of my favourite cars, but i also did an experience day last year and i came to the exact same conclusion about it. You didnt go to the Prestwold Driving Center near Leicester, did you? I drove a GTR first and then the Gallardo, and the difference was night and day in favour of the GTR. No I went to one up the M6 - can't think what it's called now. I'm with you on Fav cars, Lambo will always be THE best supercar brand in the world, well, apart from the Koeniggseg I couldn't wait to get in the Lambo, it was like losing my Lambo virginity, only to find the clutch was a ballache and the feel of driving the car, for me just didn't sit right with the name. Maybe that was Audi making it too sensible. But surprisingly the Fez 360 drove amazingly, thought I was in a F1 car. But then got out of it and threw up Can't wait to drive a GTR - but then again, I don't like the central dash area. It's like somebody at the gaming arcade was employed to design and finish it. Had somebody with a bit of creativity been involved I'm sure it would look the nuts.
