I have only ever put 95 in once, and that was due to no access to V Power and only put £5 till I reached the next available V Power station. Other than that I'll even pay €1.76 for V Power Race in Germany just because I don't want naff fuel. I can totally understand emergencies, but filling with 95 is as we know NOT recommended. I voted Never in this instance as I've only ever had one emergency?

Okay work started this morning to strip the engine bay for the big clean. Using a mix of Meguiars engine cleaner and engine degreaser the job started with a mucky engine bay. (some pics are prior to recent mods just in case someone says thought you fitted xxx where has it gone - pics purely for dirt and muck purposes) And now some finished pics Now onto handbrake and gear boots.... Back in a bit -
Good work Chris, read all the time about Fast Intensions on my350 and highly spoken of There's always a hive of activity with items for sale and wanted etc.

Cheers Mr G Luckily it's stopped raining but thanks for the offer if it comes with fudge brownies I'll be there in 2 hours That I am really looking forward to, might even stiffen the settings a bit too. Will chat to you about that @ Wales. Although gave the Meisters a bit of a bash at the last Midlands meet and was highly impressed with the improved braking in the wet. Let's just say it saved my bacon from a ditch brown cloth came to mind It has been a while to be fair -
Nice one Darren really good numbers especially on the stock pulley, bet you can't wait to go out and play, bet you're mega mahoosive excited. Respect to Abbey on that one

Cheers , at least some people like it The Eibach's were fantastic to be fair and I'll praise them as one of my favourite mods since moving to Meister R. It makes you realise that spending £200 on a mod that doesn't just give a spot on ride height but a cornering and ride upgrade at the same time. Really worth the money. They were the Pro version and will be up for sale once I get them taken off my old suspension but I've been pretty busy. There's now only 8 days left prior to Wales, need to get finish the car off and get her ready. That's if this flippin rain will ever stop -
Happy Birthday Paul

1 x Turkey 1 x Lamb 1 x Sticky pudding yum yum!! -
Sorry should have said single port instead of wet, had too many G&T's!
-
To be fair direct port is better than a wet system and as long as you have the MAX Extreme controller that will manage your NOS fine. You'd need either UpRev or Hatech to manage the necessary fueling etc. Benefits of direct port is a more accurate hit. If the kit comes with the maximiser I'd ditch that for the Max Extreme straight away.

It's because my boot is Carbon and doesn't have the weight behind it to seal against the rubber around the lip of the hatch. I'm in the process of having my boot catch shortened because I've lifted the lock as high as I can. This should make it look better fitment. I think once the Rare JDM harness is fitted with ARC catch and braided hoses oh and plenum bolts I'll be nearing completion with the engine bay. Already started my engine bay cleaning, it's surprising how dirty it gets in there. Cheers, it's taken a lot of man hours. -
Oh dear that weather looks dreadful, a big +1 in hope we get pleasant weather

We have just returned from Bourton on the Water. We stayed at the Manse Hotel slap bang in the middle of the village. Very picturesque and country living. £80 a night with breakfast. Rated 3 star but I'd give it a 4, very friendly good beer and cosy. Beer £3.40 pint Pinot G Rose £15 bottle. I recommend the Fillet Steak and Jayne had the Chicken Mushroom and Asparagus Pie which I had a nibble of and was very nice. Youve got Chipping Norton, where Clarkson lives. More pubs, large village come town, good curry house and fish and chips. A few stores as well. Stay at the Crown, about £100 a night can't remember if that comes with breakfast. Very old hotel and best in winter for the log fire in the lounge or fire in the bar We've driven through Broadway but never stayed, very nice there. You've also got Chipping Camden, full of Cotswold Stone buildings. I recommend the Sunday roast at the pub directly opposite the pay and display carpark I'm sure. The way to tell is it has a long alleyway, pub entrance on the right but further down on the left there is outside seating. One of the best roasts I've ever had. If you want to drive some good roads I'd suggest visiting a couple of these places in one day, that way you get to experience some of the country roads. Set your satnav to the destination you require, ignore it and take random roads left or right, you'll love it. Either way you cant go wrong with any of the above. If you give me a firm date you could stop by for a cuppa

Time for a fresh update - its been two months and since I'm not working I may as well work on the car. Step one was to re-polish my plenum, and whilst I was at it I decided to do my ARC Intake and removed my GT Spec Strut to return a polished OEM Strut bar. Before After Then whilst I was there I thought about starting to polish my Timing Cover. I've only polished part of the left side but to give you a comparison I've photo'd the left and right sides. The rest will be completed in due course. Then I installed my new Mishimoto Coolant Reservoir (iPhone pics sorry - I'll post better pics at a later date) The Mishimoto Power Steering will go on soon, and will update accordingly. New Carbon Battery and Brake Fluid Surrounds courtesy of Introspect 'some' of my engine bay bolts added. Still have plenum and strut to replace. Also added one of my new Tommy K badges, one on the rear strut is fitted, the boot one is causing issues as the boot isn't flat so I need to source some foam backed double sided tape. Items to add tomorrow: Nardi Handbrake Cover with custom red stitched Alcantara handbrake and gear boots. Ready to install ARC V2 Catch can, just waiting on vacuum breather cap. Awaiting Parts: Red Samco Air Intake joints Remainder of Pro Bolts Red Brake Callipers Rare JDM Engine Cover Earls Braided Hoses to replace the horrible black oem pipes As a lot of this is preparation for Wales there will be further updates -
They look good Chris

Wasso, so what US tuner said to run a Haltech over a retuning the stock ECU? I would like to know that's all? Mark, I didn't mention their name to keep them innominate. They weren't the only tuner to recommend over UpRev. Don't get me wrong UpRev is good, but not quite as versatile as the Haltech Plat Pro.

I've received my order of bolts, from wing, lights, front crash, strut bar, throttle body, plenum and surrounding bolts from Pro-Bolts. Total cost is just over £100 but that's because I've gone to town with the bolts. I'm in the process of updating my build thread so you'll see some of the bolts fitted. I'm waiting on the plenum bolts because they were out of stock, but should have them within the next week or so.

+1 they come highly recommended, speak with Will
