  1. Boys girls ladies and gents, I've been working on my engine bay for quite some time now and every time I lift my bonnet I see this god awful Motordyne Plenum Spacer which looks grubby and unsavoury. So I had a little tinker with the net and made some investigations into custom building plenum spacers, which will serve the exact same purpose of the Motordyne version but will benefit from being anodised in a selection of colours. This which will include ALL parts as you would the Motordyne, along with installation guide and benefiting from being anodised. This is a sure winner for those who colour theme their engine bay. The quality will exact that of Motordyne but at a lower price, and more athestically pleasing to the eye. So from this thread I'd like to gauge exactly how many people would be interested in such an item? As I say this is purely a feeler until prices are announced. If you are interested add your name to the list, it's not a purchase list, just a feeler for now. Colour swatch: Each colour can be lightened or darkened. Any other colour requests? Any questions regarding this inspiring mod please ask away. List of those initially interested. 1. Wasso (Red) £170 paid 2. 2. I already have a custom pic at home with this idea, but never did anything about it. Wondering how achievable this would be. Problem is re-sale who'd want one thereafter?
  3. This was the confusion myself and Haydn were having. We emailed directly to Motordyne to find out. It's a shame because I like the idea of the XYZ pipe and changing from straight pipe to cat. The new TDX has cats built in, so the XYZ will need a straight pipe. Thing is how many cats are going into this V2 version and how flowing are they. Info not yet provided by Motordyne
  4. The TDX V2 has cats built in, unlike the old way of swapping out the straight tube or HFC from the XYZ
  5. Would look awesome on your machine wasso This is what I'm thinking, but the fabrication costs could be quite heavy.
  6. Have a chat with Haydn (forum name) who's been researching the TDX V2. There's some changes to the Zorst I'm not in favour of. For instance they are by what I recall welding in the cats, no longer possible to swap out. That for me takes the good points away from Motordyne.
  7. Now you got me thinking Colin..... Two bonnets, one for every day and one for show. (goes off to make enquiries)
  8. I have but I'd need to bring it back to carbon. The all carbon look was my plan, but when I purchased the NOS and install it cost a fortune so the bonnet and roof had to wait so painted it Azure as a stop gap. Not sure if the top half being carbon and the bottom being Azure would look any good, especially as I've taken a slightly different path.
  9. I like both on a stock car, but prefer the buldge on a modified car. Presents a bit more aggression. Why haven't I got one then? Probably one of the last mods I'll put on, but still keep thinking about a carbon bonnet roof and boot.
  10. THIS expensive http://intensepower.com/soarctiex35.html Yes that really is $8,100 for a full true dual.
  11. Car has been sold When did that happen.... I'd noticed you not been on a great deal but never assumed the sale of the motor? Did the car go on here or elsewhere? GLWTS on the spacer they'll sell fairly quick
  12. That Zorst has been on sale on my350 for a while and surprised it hasn't sold. Maybe cos it's single exit? Nice knob though, shame it's a copy. Recognise the air box But that doesn't include the intake pipe either, so add another couple hundred quid!!
  13. He's been busy burning tyres....

    New Pics

Marmite for me. Love the front hate the back. Front = Style Back = Halfords But then that's what makes that car yours and if you like it and feel good that's all that counts. My rear is totally out the norm being sleek, some like it some think it's lacking aggression. But individuality makes each car different.
  15. Great news Chris and glad you've finally reached your goal. Your perseverance to keep pushing despite the massive setbacks and financial commitment I truly take my hat off to you. From a man who just wanted a Zed who now has 2 Zeds, a Zed shed and a new family of Zed friends I'd say it's all worked out just fine. A great story to follow and looking forward to hitching a ride with you when I'm next down. Thanks for offering me the opportunity to work on the bitch, I quite enjoyed the task, and as always spending a few days with you and the family which includes Bob and Neti. Good luk with the final tuning and hope to see some further interesting numbers. All the best

  17. Happy Birthday Mark, any new gifts for the car?
  18. NO EFFORT!!! Right your go, and you can do it twice
  19. Hugh *******? I have plenty of reciepts of when he did own it username is ATTAK Z on here does look like his old car - but he had a personalised numberplate He kept the plate..... Does this count as a spotted
  20. Wasn't me but sounds very similar, unless somebody has taken my car out for the day.
  21. Not sure but I'm sure this is Hughes old car? Like your previous project you made it look far better than when you bought it. A man with a clean engine bay is what I like Good luck
  22. The poor chap has just spent two weeks and endless miles travelling the country and you want him to go for a ride this soon. Man that's brave!!
  23. CONGRATS MATE Glad you got there in one piece. A big WELL DONE and ine those sore bits are in need of repair So when is the world tour Safe journey hope and look forward to the pics
  24. I wouldn't say the seating is bad in the Zed, on the contrary, I've done over 5,000 miles in Europe in roughly 20 days. Never had a problem, sit back relax let the car do the talking. I agree on the narrow country lanes, but then I'm lowered so I have to look out for holes and width of the road. Oh and by the way
