Although we don't have a log burner and totally appreciate their value to warm the house better than an open fire, we just love the crack and pop of an open fire. We will eventually move to a log burner but till then we've enjoyed two. This fire place was the nuts, huge and you could get a real bonfire going! Then when we moved to our new cottage we have a smaller fire, but we sit closer and love the smell, flames licking and that direct heat! Yum yum!!

Andyjames Supercharged Silver Pheonix Rebuild
Wasso replied to andy james's topic in Member Build Projects
Rear quarter from Nissan is expensive, but replaceable no problem. Well, as good as the cutter and welder etc. Glad to see the boys are doing what they love, and helping guys in their time of need -
Really? You're looking at $150 for a OEM and $200 for a Nismo £53 is a good price. Find a decent genuine aftermarket knob for less! You could always make it cheaper by forgetting the shift pattern on the top, and the logo. But then it's not really "custom" it's just a round ball.

Sorry mate, my stunted comment was meant purely in jest, hence the multiple winky faces. My apologies if you or the Team took any offence, you're absolutely correct in that I do know exactly how long the Team debate these issues: Honestly folks, they do really go over and over this stuff! I'm still fairly fresh to this mod life, and trust me the discussions are heavily interrogated, but at the end of the day no action is taken without sufficient warnings and discussions with said member to rectify issues. To be honest, the depth in severity when issues crop up surprise me, these aren't silly little issues. The team will at the last resort ban a member when the "mark" has been well and truly overstepped. In which the ban is justified and unanimous. Don't forget for every member banned, we get interrogated for our reasons, which can be equally a headache. We are moderating the forum to be a respectful place, and won't tollerate unacceptable behaviour. Whether this be publicly on threads or via PM communications reported to us. If at anytime somebody is banned, by all means contact them, and if they're a man about the situation they'll give you the truth. Maybe we can move forward and respect that we sometimes have to make decisions which conflict with opinions which may not be agreed by all.

No need to scaremonger the poor chap. There is nothing wrong with using NOS, or it wouldn't be used on the drag strip by thousands of people. I would run NOS on the V8 but, it's all dependant on the tuner and hardware. NOS isn't straight forward, neither is it a simple load it with NOS and off you go. There's also the supply of the gas and the heating for optimum performance. It's cheap compared to FI, but has its drawbacks. My engine ran till 112k miles and yes was using oil, but let's put the record straight, it's a revup and prone to burning oil. The engine when removed sold and was perfectly fine. Power was still as it was before NOS. Considering the mount of DE's blowing up without NOS, then clearly it proves NOS is not not a killer but caring for the engine IS highly important.

You can run with UpRev, but it's not AS good as standalone ecu. Mine cost me around 2.5k for the gear and another 1.5k for install and tune. But mine was a all singing system with 2 bottle covertly stowed behind the passenger seat (in glove box). Do not and I repeat, do not just install the system with some sort of ECU management. Fueling and retarding the timing is critical.

See post 24 http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/23450-dyno-results-info-thread/page__st__20 It's as safe as the tune. It can handle 75 or even poss 100. This was on my Revup 296. I enjoyed it but a pain getting refills locally.
-
If you're going fora 50 shot, the cost to hit 75 is about £7 more. I had the Wizards same as Keyser and it's good quality gear with simple UK resource for parts and information. Might be a little more pricey but it's good gear. If you head to the Dyno thread page you'll see my dyno printouts as I progressed with 25, 50 and 75. 50 was okay but the 75 made the noticeable difference.

Custom Anodised Plenum Spacers (that's it they're ALL gone - CLOSED)
Wasso replied to Wasso's topic in Member Traders
Sad times Yes it's a shame, but since the demand is a lot lower these days, there's no point in me forking out for the next batch in which may not sell. The 350 is getting older now and as a result the volume of sales will reduce over time. All good things come to an end eventually. I completely agree with you...still sad to see one of the best member trader items coming to an end. Cheers matey, that's really satisfying to hear. Never had an issue selling them, no product failure unlike the Motordyne, and 100% positive feedback. I actually never expected this product to sell so well, and provide sales to the members for around 4 years. -
