    Japspeed Backbox

I wouldn't buy anything made by Japspeed. How the hell they can still sell such badly made tat is beyond me. My 300zx has Japspeed downpipes/ decats and the fit is truly awful. Both sides sit hard up against the chassis and cause all sorts of rattles and vibrations and knocking. I've done less that 100 miles since I bought the car, and I'm ripping them off the moment I get chance to get the car on some ramps.
  2. That's a great offer mate. It's gonna be months before I make any real progress and get to that stage (possibly even next year). I've sourced engine mounts and a sump (though they come flat packed so need welding up). But will need help with PAS bracket and a few other bits. Gonna get AAS to do the headers, but will need to make a custom intake manifold so that the bonnet will close. The VH45 mates to the OEM manual 5 speed with a plate which I've already sourced. So the shaft and diff remain the same. Standalone ECU's on both VG30 and VH45 so easy to splice. I'll get Ian to let me know when he fancies popping over and will arrange with you.
  3. I'm sure something could be worked out. I know Ian is desperate to see your progress! For me, I just want to pick your brains over a conversion I'm just starting on my Z32. Mainly to do with who to ask for custom fabrication near us (my welding sucks)

    Monaro Vxr

Oh, and fuel economy isn't as bad as rumoured. I averaged 14mpg round town with a heavy foot. And 30mpg on a motorway cruise. I would have a VXR8 again in a heartbeat. Just don't have the funds.

    Monaro Vxr

Yeah I had a VXR8. Spent a lot of time around Monaros too. If you had the budget, I'd go for a VXR8. Better refinement inside and much more of a sleeper car. As for the comment earlier about quality being bad because they're a Vauxhall......neither the Monaro or VXR8 are actually Vauxhall. I can't be chewed going over all that again though. VXR8 with custom exhaust (with cut outs), monkfish road response pack (pedders poly bushes and coilovers), and a basic EFI live map will give you an epic car. If you don't plan on massively modifying the engine then save a little money and get an LS2 rather than LS3. As for Monaro. Get the LS2 rather than LS1. For me the VXR edition doesn't justify the extra cash. You could buy a standard CV8 and pay Monkfish or LSV8 to modify to your liking. pm me with any questions
  6. How do you feel about a mini meet of some kind mate? Thinking of getting some of the local members to meet up at your place and ask you a load of annoying questions. Knowing the sorry lot in the NE it'd only be me that turned up like.
  7. Advanced Windscreens in Boro are good at removing glass without making a mess. They'll travel to Darlo I believe.
  8. Ive been to this a few times. The 300zx guys have entered a team so I'm heading down to show support. Anyone else fancy it?

    My Z32 SWB

have a Google. It just doesn't look quite right.

    My Z32 SWB

I had thought of that Immy. But don't like the look of the car when on Rays. May think about 370 wheels. For the short term though I'm gonna Plastidip the ones I already have.

    Rx7

My only advice - get a fresh import that hasn't had ANY mods done. Always best to start with a clean slate with the FD3's. Basically with the 13B engine is a little fickle. But if looked after it's solid. The thing is, people go adding all sorts of mods to the car because they want power without thinking of the effects on the engine. Even adding a large bore exhaust to a RX7 can cause problems as the rotary needs a certain amount of back pressure. Get a clean one, do your research, and you will be fine. I'd recommend either Torque GT or JM Imports Make sure it's had a compression test too with healthy numbers.
  13. Is your car an import? If so it's fine. If not, a square front plate will be illegal regardless of it's size. Search for JDM 350z on google for pics of square plates.
  14. I approve of the Two-Tone look
  15. People always want the best for the least Rich. I think they are good value at that price to be honest. What price do you put on individuality. I'm gonna email Rob when I get home from work in 2 weeks and see if he can make me up a new badge for the Z32. Something a little different.
  16. Have one of the hangers stretched or snapped causing the back box to twist?

    My Z32 SWB

Now they do look good. I'm finding that this is a difficult car to find wheels that suit it
  18. Matt has one fitted to his green Zed. Search for posts by "mattbowey"
  19. I'd say that P1135 (difficult to know without seeing the flashes myself) Intake Valve Timing Control RH Bank 2.
  20. After reading through 4 pages of replies I have only one thing to repeat.... Stop panicking and read the ****ing code. Until you do that, you are flapping and pissing in the wind. Print out the pedal dance How Too. Take it and your phones stop watch out to the car. Do the process, record the results, compare to list of fault codes , then come back and tell us.

    My Z32 SWB

No idea yet. Wish I hadn't sold those Rota GTRs a few month back though!

    My Z32 SWB

Those wheels will be for sale soon. I can't stand them! Afternoon spent sorting the MOT niggles. Retest on Tuesday morning. Cross your fingers!
