    what wheels???

Yup. Dotz Hanzo. I had them on my white Zed, and sold them on to Matty.
  2. Buy from Tim at Envy Valeting. He's a trader here, and delivery is pretty rapid. Don't bother with Halfrauds.
  3. Really? Drop me a PM if you want any advice.
  4. Go onto detailing world forum and have a look for someone local to you.
  5. At the risk of repeating myself.... PRO DETAILER. A bodyshop are usually only anygood at painting and fitting. You need someone who looks after the paint that's already on for a living.

    Snapped bolts

Not quite what I meant. With the screw head being small. I meant to drill out to almost the diameter of the screw itself (it can be done with a steady hand). Then if needed use an appropriate size tap to put the thread back in (I don't know the thickness of what it screws into, so don't know if it is actually threaded or not.

    Snapped bolts

Drill out and re-tap the holes if required.
  9. Do not use Thinners or T-cut. You will damage your paint as it's so thin. Use a more agressive claybar. Pay a pro detailer to do it.
  10. What would you estimate the total turnout was this year?
  11. Clay bar will take it off. And it doesn't need to be too quick. A helpful council man covered the back end of mine in blue paint whilst it was in a council lock up. I was at sea at the time, and didn't find the damage until 4 weeks after the incident. A mild clay bar removed it all no problem.
  12. Isn't that "erson" (I think that's the user name) old car?
  13. Check the battery in the fob again. Chances are you havent fitted the correct one, or it's a dead one.
  14. Was just gonna type this ^^^^ The K1 exhaust was originally an ESR sourced part, and so far as I am aware there wasn't fitment issues with any of them. I believe Phil allowed the company that made them for him sell on the design to reduce his costs. Japspeed then started producing them and that's when the problems started.
  15. How long is the car gonna be away getting a cage for? I've got a chunk of leave coming up so was gonna pop along and bend your ear. May even bring some work clothes (now that the sound deadening has been removed! lol
  16. Ho had an Amuse on his white Zed back when me and him were taking our cars to ESR to get done. I got a 5Zigen and he got the Amuse. The Amuse looked better (esp with a bumper tuck), but I preferred the sound of the 5Zigen. Amazing quality kit (normally) though.
  17. I must be getting old and daft Dan, as I seem to be liking many of your posts recently.

http://m.emcperformance.com/1981-airdam-new-stock.html This is the one I was gonna buy. It's utterly spotless and has a history folder as thick SMD,s Ska vinyl collection. I see the one you like has Hookers fitted. (Look like XS Power). The quality is rubbish if they are. And the bodywork is often bastardised to make them fit. I'd get a custom system with electric cut outs fitted (like you heard on my VXR8).

It's an itch I still want to scratch. Have a look on CCCUK. There are some good buyers guides

If you're wanting a good C3 Jay, then buy one freshly imported. EMC Performance are the guys to speak too. I nearly bought an immaculate 1989 airdam C3 from them a few months back. Then the wife decided we are moving house so that plan got thrown out. Anyway, the cars he imports are immaculate. A good 80/81 C3 from him will be just shy of £11k.

Reasons not to buy Japspeed products number 384729: Removed the decats off my car yesterday as I'm not a fan of the sound. The above shows that someone went at the offside one with a lump hammer to make it fit. And it was still tight up against the floor pan. Side by side it's clear to see that the offside one has been made at a completely different angle to the nearside. They should be the same.
  23. Didn't realise you were there Tim. I was with the 300zx team as a support member.
