Some Avatars have been lost as they were not able to be taken across to HTTPS. Couldn't be helped.

At the moment we are keeping the mobile skin as a mobile skin. Using the web based one causes some issues with templating. At least this mobile skin is way better than previous one.

Ladies and Gents, The forum is going to be unavailable over the weekend whilst we commence a serious upgrade to our systems. Following the malicious attack a few weeks ago, we have worked hard behind the scenes to bring a more up to date, secure, faster, slicker forum. PB's latest announcement regarding posting on 3rd party sites has forced us to tip our hand early to everyone, and to go live sooner than we hoped. The club has purchased (at significant expense) a new dedicated root server with a significant sized drive. The upshot of this is we will now be hosting our own photo's (Though there will still be a sensible size limit to the pics you can upload - it will just be significantly larger than we have now). We are also moving to https. Much improved search function. Much improved mobile experience. As we are going live early with this, things are not quite 100% how they will look and we will be tweaking skins periodically over the coming weeks. The Team ask for your patience both during the weekend downtime, and over the coming weeks whilst we get things set up. I know not everyone likes change, myself included, but we could not continue in our current form. We hope you all find the new forum a good user friendly system. See you all on the other side. Due to PB latest change we now recommend that members use Imgur to host photos. HOWEVER We are currently working on a more suitable option. We will be making an announcement at the Coventry show (and on the forum itself). Don't lose faith in us guys!

I only just installed talpatalk and thought it was just me being a noob why i couldn't post pictures etc! Will look forward to the revamp and does this mean on forum hosting for pix to save us uploading elsewhere... because that would be sweet Unfortunately not. The forum is free to use, and as such we don't have a large budget to keep things running. Having a server capable of a) hosting thousands and thousands of Hi res image, and b ) having the power to display them all smoothly at peak access times simply will never work. We would bankrupt the club in a matter of months.

We encountered a period of downtime due to someone gaining access to some setup files. No data was accessed or lost, but we have suffered a loss of functionality whilst we attempt to clear everything out. We were due some upgrades anyway, so we decided to do it full scale.

Good Afternoon, Since last weeks malicious attack upon the forum, the Team have been working away behind the scenes to not only put things right, but to take big steps forward to ensure this doesn't happen again. Due to the time scales needed for us to get this sorted, we have decided to take on the assistance of a Third Party to complete our upgrades. Whilst the Third Party has formally signed a Non Disclosure Agreement with us, it is imperative that you (our members and Traders) are aware that the Third Party will be getting full access to our server/database. If you have ANY sensitive information stored in your PM's we urge you to delete them at the earliest opportunity. Third Party will be given access to our server on Tuesday June 20th at 1300. Please ensure your PM's are cleared out before then. Downtime during the transition should be kept to an absolute minimum. As well as moving servers, we will be upgrading the forum software to the latest IPB version. We hope to keep the current look/skins we have, but we should be able to add to the forum functionality and also it should be a much slicker and speedier experience. The Team ask for your patience during this transition period.

Update: Full functionality still hasn't been restored - mainly links being non clickable. We are working on a full and total solution but it's taking time to get it all together. We thank you all for your patience.

As stated in the announcement earlier - we have had a malicious attack which has rendered some features inoperative or not working 100% We are working to fix it

Not what/who it claimed to be. No more discussion on it please as it's just feeding the troll and it's taking time to get shot completely if this particular troll.

The forum has never ran https in its history. FF and other browser's have recently updated and started to warn people when they enter passwords in any site that isn't https. It is planned as part of the coming (eventual) upgrade to migrate to secure protocols.
