have a look on the OC. some well looked after examples. thing to look out for - - Slow starting. This can be a sign of low compression. More and more of the early cars are suffering this. Its a new engine Im afraid. But Mazda are currently replacing free of charge, even if out of warranty - Knocking when turning. The drop links are known to go. - Check the engine mounts. Quite a common problem with corrosion. - Check to see if its had oil cooler piper recall done. These corrode easy, and then dump all the oil on the drive and shag your engine when you start it. I never flooded mine once. So long as you warm it up, before shutting down, you wont have issues with it.

At that mpg more like you 'borrowed it' - I'm surprised to see the plus side of 18mpg for everyday motoring - I didn't buy 296 horses to go on economy drives Ah, but that includes regular motorway cruises. If Im around town Im around 18 too!

32mpg when I was over in France taking it easy. Over hear Im lucky if I see 21mpg! I really shouldnt drive like I stole it!

Well, Im a little toasty today. Last night my nose could have been used to land aircraft! The Nismo would indeed sit what you are after, and as Phil says, so would the 5zigen (which I have). Although if Im honest, the 5zigen can get a little monotonous on a motorway, but thats cured by turning the stereo up!
