  1. Where else are you meant to air your opinions?? +1. Reading on DW it seems he has "reasons" for why it wasnt up to par, so I think he needs to explain these to you (maybe family problems or whatever) and come back and sort it properly. I'm fair if someone gives reasons for mistakes, but from what you posted on here, he didnt seem to care. I was given absolutaly no reasons as to why the job was so half arsed done. Im half tempted to post the email exchange between me and him - however I know that would be going too far. Yeah I'm trying to carefully craft a post where it states you are not just out to diss him and you have your reasons you beleive he just wasnt interested in sorting it out, but I think I'll just get flamed for being a n00b! Some people are sticking up for ya though bud Aye, I knew it wouldnt be all against me! Thanks for the effort, but dont worry abotu posting. No sense you getting grief too.

  3. Thanks Mike. The thread is in the New Members section if you wish to have a look at the way its heading.
  4. Well that was successful - NOT! Post on DW has basically resulted in me being flamed for Airing on a Public Forum, as his work is always so good, blah blah blah.
  5. Feel for you mate, I really do. I know how much care you take looking after your car, and you should be safe in giving it to a DW member as they are generally very very good. I just hope others on here and there learn from this and dont use him. I cant beleive he isnt even remorsful over what hes done. Have you had the car under some decent lighting to check out that theres no swirls, marring, hologramming etc? Would hate to hear he had inflicted defects onto the paint Ive had a good lok over the paintwork, and luckily it seems the only marring has been done on the light clusters. some SRP has sorted that out.
  6. Im actually just about to go post up on DW now. Despite me informing him of this, he really doesnt seem to care and has threatened me with court proceedings if I refuse to pay. Muppet. With regards to the blue paint. This was removed, and was the only part of his service I was actually happy with. My thanks go to Phil for looking after my car and keeping an eye on the detailer, as god alone knows how bad the job would have been otherwise. Im still rather furious with all this. He even had the nerve to offer only £15 off the total quote, as the bits he has missed will only take him 30 mins to correct. THEY SHOULDNT NEED CORRECTING IN THE FIRST PLACE! (sorry for shouting)
  7. Also, if rolling radious is different, then speedo will read different to actually speed (more so than normal I mean)
  8. Also, if its an 07> car, then there could be something lose in the bottle holder int he door card. This had me banboozled for a while earlier int he year.
  9. In the long drawn out process of complaining.
  10. im not normally one for naming and shaming. However this is a case where I cant keep quiet about it. As some of you may have read, the local council managed cover the rear of my Zed in many flecks of Blue Paint. They admitted liability, and as such, they agreed to pay for me to get a professional detailer to complete the work. So I arranged with a local detailer (http://www.wonderdetail.co.uk/) to remove the paint, and also to perform a full detail on the car ready to have the car protected for the winter. I was given a price of £330 all in, and that it would take 2 days. BigPhil kindly offered me the use of his shop, so that it could all be performed under cover so that the weather wouldn't affect the work. I returned to collect my car yesterday (the detailer had already left), and I did an inspection of the work. A list of what I found wrong is below, followed by a set of pics. 1. Rear carpet not hovered/cleaned, 2. Interior Glass still dirty, 3. carpets behind seats not cleaned, 4. Bottom of sills still very dirty, 5. Interior Door jams not fully cleaned (or not cleaned at all in the case of the boot), 6. Inside of petrol cap not cleaned, 7. Maring from the clay still left on the rear lights, 8. Underside of rear spoiler not cleaned at all, 9. Inside of key locks still dirty, 10. Inside of wheels still completely filthy. 11. Exhaust exits still marred and dirty.
  11. Its all about Metallica!
  12. I've got pics of my old RX-8 with my ex strewn in various different poses over it (deffo NSFW) ....and no, you lot aint gunna get to see them! Wonder if I could convince Laura to do the same with the Zed....... .....Judging by the look she just gave me when I suggested it, Im guessing No!
  13. Scholes is quite a nice wee village just on the outskirts if you didnt mind driving into Leeds for work. It's right on the A64, and only 10 mins drive from the biggest Tesco I have ever been in!
  14. It should be you we're saying welcome to since you've been gone for so long!!
  15. Nice looking GT there I normally dont like them, but that looks nice nad smart. Although that front nose looks almost Honda/Mugen esque.
  16. Not structly true. Thats only if you want to eject a CD thats in a diff position to the one you are currently listening too. Try pushing an holding the Eject button (this will normally eject all 6 CD;s in sequence). Failing that, use impact engineering and hit the flaming thing!
  17. Crisis over! Took the car to see Phil this morning. Somehow the securing bolt had worked lose, and then the bushes, coller and washes had popped out. So an hour later and its all sorted!
  18. Yup, its still there. Its too dark to take a decent pic at the minute without the flash ruining it so you cant see anything.
  19. Sorry, meant I dont have an aftermarket strut. The OEM one is on there.
  20. Not running any other aftermarket suspension parts, not even a strut brace. They've been on since June. Not sure on warranty, I got them via Phil, so will ask him. will be asking him to have a look anyway. see if I need full new one, or whether it repairable. What a sodding day. and only I drive my car. Thanks for looking all that up for me
  21. Why call it "super street" then?? Idiots. But yeah, looks like Im missing a few washers too. I think the bush and coller from the passenger side have done a runner too. I dont even wanna think what this is gunna cost to fix.
