  1. Having just done somethign similar. I feel for you
  2. Oki, just got my first quote.... £750! Thats for full bumper to be stripped all the way back, reglassed, repainted etc. The opinion was that a small repair of the area would only recrack rather rapidly. It cost me less for the bumper, spray and fitment in the first place. so, off to the next bodyshop. (thanks for the help Lee, these comments are in no way a reflection on your brothers place. I just simply cannot afford that kinda repair at the moment, If I could, Id have booked her in today)
  3. Silver Ragtop with aftermarket alloys (not sure on brand, possible Dare, black spokes with silver lip), parked up in the Staincliffe Hotel carpark, Seaton Carew about half 1 today.
  4. Just found this http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/buga ... 2009-11-13, Looks to be real I agree, it looks real alright. (I did only say it was a rumour, and not even my rumour.)
  5. I didnt mean you mate! I meant Mark for offering you the 5zigen!
  6. saw a Silver heading outta Hartlepool at about half 5 tonight at Wolviston/Billingham/A689 roundabout. And saw a one about 2 hours earlier on the A19 heading North past the Billingham turnoff
  7. looks good, just dont be tempted to mis represent the plate. Rozzers getting really arsey about that kinda thing lately.
  8. Just been through to see Lee's brother at Falcon Performance, running her back through tomorrow to get a proper quote in the daylight. Gunna get a full respray as its spidered in a few places. Thanks again Lee
  9. I got a 5zigen for sale so you can be true twins!! I do hope we never meet.....
  10. Arse. That is the exact word to leave my mouth when I heard the noise of an Amuse front bumper making contact with a high curb at 2.30am outside Durham Student Union. Closely followed by a very loud "f*** Off" to the wasted posh to**er student who started to chant "You just crashed your car, nah nah nana nah" Anyways, the results are below. Do we think this is repairable? Or am I looking at a full new bumper? Its a Shine Auto replica made of FRP. The crack goes right through the glass in a few places. Its casued the paint to crack and flake in a number of other places, so its a full respray anyway
  11. Bloody hell, At that price, I was practically giving my car away when I had her up for sale!
  12. So it is Marks old car then?
  13. saw this on another site. The rumour going around was that its actually some crappy Ford Sudan kitted up to look like a Veyron from a distance. All staged to create a viral video
  14. I think that car used to belong to a guy called Mark who flogged it a year or so ago for an R33 GTR, I just seem to remember me and BigPhil baulking at that front nose when we seen it at a JNE meet
  15. press the on button, get up to the speed you want, then using the accel/decel toggle switch, click it down once to "set" a new light will come on the dash saying its active.

  18. Still better than sailing around on a fisheries Protection cruiser like. lol Hope you get it all sorted with minumum more hassle
  19. gutted for you. That is one sexy boat too. Its probably on a flat rack, in a MSC cargo hold, on its way to prety much anywhere. AIS isnt difficult to switch off - just kill the power to the unit and job done. I take it you dont have Sat-C or LRITS on board as you're far too small to requre that kit. Shame, as you could have polled the Sat-C unit if it was powered up. Its one of those things that not many people know you can do with a Sat-C unit.
  20. followed an 06 plate BS from POrt Glasgow ish through to Glasgow yesterday evening.
  21. I find this show both hilerious and damn right frightening. Being someone who spends more time at sea than on land, it scares the hell outta me that people as untrained in navigation and seamanship such as some of the muppets on that boat (namely the person they refer to as Chief Mate) There are collision rules at sea. ie - who gives way to who in what situation. This lot probably aint got a clue, and they then end up causing accidents. And the thing at sea is that an accident isnt a small thing. YOu're miles away from anywhere generally, with very few resources to put a situation right. On a sie note, the boat they use (Steve Irwin) is actually the old FPV Westra. The vessel I am on now (FPV Minna) is the one which took over her duties when she was commisioned.
  22. Can you do these in a yellow weave carbon? Im at sea at the moment, so cant do anything about ordering yet. But may very well be interested once I get back on dry land in a fortnight.
  23. Wasn;t the only thing on fire! That'll be a slightly scorched ferrari lol
