  1. Not doing a dyno run. Im happy with how she is regardless. Since the stock cats are still in, there wont be any noticable gains with or without the cutouts. Need a remap for that.
  2. The only person to leave internal parts there was Stephen! Poor bugger.
  3. I know, I have a v8 Thats cool, it sounds great. R Next time I'll look at the flipping avatar. He does alot of work on BM's
  4. Pointless trying to describe it to you, as a V8 sounds so different to a V6. But, no droning really. On loud or quiet. But then the interior has alot of sound proofing.
  5. So, the secret can now be revealed...... This is our new home Quick vid of part of delivery voyage.....(just click) She's a work in progress! And yes.....she's needs lowered and spacers......
  6. For the exhaust itself, with the X-pipe made-up, its circa £600. All custom made and installed. Its another £500 if you want the cut-outs. (not something I think a Zed would need) Just give Stuart a call on the number in the website. Very helpful bloke
  7. So, the one thing my R8 was missing, was the V8 sound. After a bit of research into the available options, I decided to go for something unique. Since I have decided to mostly keep the R8 stock(ish) and get a project car to play around with, I opted for a custom system which could look stock. So, I too a trip to Advanced Automotive Systems in Newcastle. http://www.aas-exhausts.co.uk/ Stuart and the guys there, really know their stuff, and if you are considering a custom system for your Zed, give them a shout. Its a switchable system, with a switch in the cabin which opens/closes the cutouts. Vid is taken with an iphone, so not the best quality, but you get the idea. Video is a warm start, with the cut-outs open. They close 1/3 way through vid, then open again for the last 15 secs or so. As always, comments/criticisms welcome.
  8. I've been hard at work Martin! Gotta prove myself y'know! We'll see you about 5ish tomorrow. I'll drop you a bell when were on the way so we can sort out where we're meeting you
  9. You can't specify ramps as such. Just be sure to declare as a 'low' car when you check in. That way the loadmater on the quay tells the loading officer on the boat. So that way you end up on deck 4. My one euro trip next year will be Le Mans.
  10. I've got a HSV Clubsport R8 (its an Austrailian car) Sold in the uk as a Vauxhall VXR8. Kinda pails into insignificance next to a DB5
  11. I'm being very pedandtic when I type this.... Ships sail every 2 hours from Dover, not every hour. Crossing time is approx 2 hours. And if your Zed is lowered, please make sure you declare it at the DFDS Seaways check-in booth. Otherwise you may have to go up onto Deck 5, and your bumper/exhaust may not make it in one piece. If you declare it, then they will load you on Deck 4 which doesnt involve a ship-board ramp. (I worked on one of these boats for the past year )
  12. Perhaps they meant you had about 2mm left before the tyre became illegal.....
  13. Falcon Performance (through R35LEE) provided wedding cars. Fair choice to choose from too. Failing that, if you want a big ole loud Aussie V8, I dont mind acting chauffer for the day.
  14. 5zigen pro-racer A-Spec FTW Although I am biased. This fitted with a set of the Nismo Dual CAI sounded amazing
  15. Sweet Jesus, how'd I miss this one!? I was just about to drop you a text about Sundays meet too mate! How's the fizing going?
  16. Not filling me with confidence here boss!
  17. Since this is an open public forum, I would suggest it was removed for legal reasons.......

    Woody's Sunset Zed

I see you got a similar pic to the one I had in the calender last year with Steetly chimney in the background! Someone said abotu that "Sod Stubby, Go BIG!"
  20. You must have been blind never to have seen mine or Woody's cars! Mine was a modified white coupe, and you can see Woody's above. I've lived all around the town - West View, Bishop Cuthbert, Seaton, and now on the Marina.
  21. Is this gunna become a "will he, wont he" saga like mine was?
  22. Nice one John. I know there are guys who do them on the 300zx forums, but I would rather put the business the way of someone I already know off here. I shall be in touch in the new year about it.
  23. Sounds like a good venture John, good luck with it. Are you only going to be doing 350/370 work? It's just in the new year I am hoping to get a Z32 as a bit of a project, and wouldnt mind some custom interior lighting done......
  24. This came on my boat this morning with 2 x GT3's and a R32 Golf. Ring trip? Had an old school OC sticker in the rear quarter window
