  1. Im off to hibernate if its gunna be another like that! Someone wake me up when it's done.
  2. This is a rubbish game. Just post pics up when its done will you.
  3. I had the pro-racer A Spec on my car for 2 years. Loved it. Combined with a Nismo Intake, it sounded amazing. Nice and loud without being vulgar. Teamed with some Hi-Flow cats, it would sound louder again if you wanted more noise.
  4. you can get the car to display the codes using the indicators. Set number of flashes/sequence, relate to each code. you then just look it up in the list. There's a further guide on it somewhere around here.
  5. Is this not the car that was discribed as "mint" in the advert? The car that you asked for opinions about, and then shot down long term members "uninformed opinions?" Seems to me like it's not so mint after all - Horn and idling problems. All from someone who advertised a car as perfect, and then tries to BS you with talk of chokes. That aside, I hope you get it sorted with the help of us informed people and our opinions.
  6. I am hoping/assuming this is a misprint! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2322023.htm It made it onto PH front page in the selected classified bit...
  7. Some nice places to eat......The Swan and Three Signets is nice home cooked food. Theres the cinema up on the new bit - directly accross river from the Passport office. There's also Fat Buddahs restaurent there which is bloody amazing! as well as a Nando's, ASK, Lloyds, and a Slug and Lettace (dont eat in the slug...its pretty bad) The open air skating rink may be there at this time of year.
  8. Yet another of the North East regulars does a runner! Good luck with whatever you chose as a replacement mate. My housemate is looking at 3 series coupes, and although there seem to be plenty on the market, getting a highly specced one for a sensible price is proving difficult
  9. Airbag deployment can cost a fortune to repair on some cars. Not sure about a Zed. But it's a new dash, steering wheel center, pillars etc.
  10. Santa is actually Chuck Norris. Normal rules dont apply.

    :pmr35lee: and/or Parts galore.
  12. Thats an aftermarket unit. Looks like one of Nurrish's efforts...
  13. Not sure how it's the AA and RAC's fault that you weren't prepared for winter and let the battery go flat Ive got one of these similar sized packs. Its jumped my Rex, Zed, and a few other larger engined cars of friends. Got me outta a pickle more than once.
  14. its not touch screen, you cant do postcode entry, it takes you up some weird and wonderful back roads, and is generally a pain to use.
  15. Erm, well if they're on this forum they probably have a pretty good idea of Zed running costs. I think it's a pretty fair comment that if you want to buy a car like a Zed then you need deep enough pockets to run it and enjoy it properly, otherwise what's the point? I agree you do need "deep enough pockets" as you say. But how does that owner know what the finances of the new member/owner are? How can they assume to know if they can or cant afford it based on asking what the mpg is? My ex fiance was planning on buying a R34 GTT, we had to know what approx mpg it had, so that we could factor in if she would have to buy a diesel shed for work to go with it. She was fully aware it was gunna be expensive to run, but needed to know just how expensive so she knew if she could spend her full savings on one, or whether £1000 had to be kept behind for a shed.
  16. Id just keep Traffic Announcements switched on, get over the Dartford Crossing, then if theres no major delays on the M20, take that. M20 is 3 lanes all the way to the Channel Tunnel. However, if the SE gets another massive dunmping of snow, listen out for Operation Stack being put into force. That'll upset everyones day.
  17. I want to use sarcasm so much here.... As for Zedism not being cheap. I found it quite reasonable costing to run. I get a little disgruntled at these people who say "oh if youre worried about mpg, or tax, or insurance, then its not the car for you" What do they know? If you want it, buy it.
  18. Tell the French you're from Hartlepool when you get over there. They'll all keep well clear of you in fear. And it might be worth you taking the M2 off the M25 after Dartford, then crossing town to the M20 via Ashford. Its always a gamble which of those roads to use. I worked in Dover for a year, and used to just see how I felt on the day and pick one.
  19. Dammit, how can I go on questioning your sexuality now?!?! Congratulations to the both of you pal. Bottle of Buckie on me next time Im up North of the border.
  20. That was my point! So you get full NCD for having it protected when you come to renew but then they load your policy because of the claim. So ultimately you can't actually protect your no claims, just a portion of it, dependant on how much they load your policy This is one of the reasons I didnt get Protected NCB on my last policy........ No way I could afford to repair the amount of damage I made to the R8 last week though. Insurance it has to be. Just out of curiosity I looked at Zed quotes today with no NCB.......for a standard Zed, it would be almost 50% to insure than when I had my old one with all the mods declared and covered. Suffice to say, it'll be a while before Im back in a decent new sports car.
  21. I do hope you are wearing more than just the UGG boots!
  22. Well said that man. But still.....
  23. Take the van, seriously. Have you been looking at the other threads on here lately!? More than a few crashes.
