  1. There is a full thread on this, but for the life of me I cant find it. Anyway. MY03 - 276bhp VQ35DE MY06 - 297bhp VQ35DE rev-up (also available on the GT4 limited edition cars) MY07 - 309bhp VQ35HR In UK spec, GT and non GT packs were available across all 3 versions. GT pack included Cruise, Bose stereo upgrade, heated leather seats. Rays alloys became standard on MY07 MY07 has an 80% revised engine, easily spotted cos it has 2 intakes. The car also came with a "hump" bonnet. People do however buy and fit these to earlier cars. centre cubby and controls where revised between MY06 and MY07. but stronger, and less flimsy front bumber are a slightly diff design. They all have the orange reflectors accross the ranges. Rear lights became LED's on MY06.
  2. You get what you pay for in my experience.
  3. So aside from a snapped earth wire, it entered the garage in good condition, and whilst there, it has developped a more serious issue? Sounds like the numpties have buggered something.
  4. I think he's going for the full collection so he can claim all the Best in Class prizes at next years LakeZ!

    Help Please!

If you just want a drop, then springs are the perfect way to go. They are simply a plug and play solution. As well as providing a drop, they will stiffen the car, slightly improving handling. a 40mm drop is excessive in my opinion, and will be detrimental to the cars handling. Not to mention, the near impossibility of driving on any road that isn't perfectly flat. I had a 35mm drop at the front, and couldn't go anywhere with steep inclines!
  6. If your car is an 07, it is highly likely you have the 309 bhp version. (do you have a "hump" in your bonnet, and twin intakes for the engine?) If so, make sur eyou mention this to traders when looking for an exhaust. And also when it comes to fitting it, you may have to remove the diff shield (just a piece of angled metal) to get it to fit.
  7. Must. Resist . Modding. Post.... If only I was in a position of power, I'd do it for you!
  8. Everytime I walked past him, he was explaining that to someone new!
  9. Which dealer? Im guessing maybe Evans Halshaw in boro? Their aftersales is shocking, be prepared to have to fight the case with them.
  10. oh sh1t she's seen it I got a message from athol saying im gonna get my balls booted haha. Here's me thinking that they didnt have t'internet in the lake district At least she doesn't know where I live.....you on the other hand are fooked
  11. Quick run down - 350z has "learning" ECU. Any mods added will be cancelled out by the ECU bringing you back down to 276bhp. Waiy to over come this, is to fit all your mods, then go have an UpRev reflash/tune done at one of 3 current tuners in the UK that offer this service. S/C are more common than TT, mostly based on cost and usability. 400bhp is felt to be the safe limit on a DE engine with standard internals, any more and you are looking at forged internals. (the 400bhp is actually based on an equivelent torque figure. You can go higher than 400 on standard internals, it's the Torque that kills the engines).

    Bridgestones ?

There is an entire sub section of the forum dedicated to tyres. Have a good read through, there are some good reviews. People and tyres are generally one of varying opinions. Everyone likes what they like. I preferred Vredesteins, but I know people who hate them.
  13. Paulie + Karaoke = + infinity! We should have let Nismo have a shot!
  14. Best of Class/Show winners thread is here folks; viewtopic.php?f=57&t=51066
  15. Here's a rundown of those who won this years accolades (and a wee little trophy!) Judging was done by myself, George (The G Man), and a very enthusiastic Laura (Jay's other half). I can't remember everyones name (real or forum) so it's just pics! I've stole them from the main pics thread 240Z 260Z 300ZX 350Z Coupe 350Z Convertable 370Z Coupe 370Z Convertable Non-present Overall car of show And finally, the triumph in the face of adversity (and spare trophy not claimed by 370 convertables!) goes to......... Vik.....despite the events with that biker, and the damage to your car, you remained up beat, cheerful, and plenty of fun. Wouldnt have been the same show without you there! And could all those there, spare a thought for the young lady who delivered the flowers to the hotel on the Friday afternoon, and was then involved in a horrifc collision as she left the grounds, resulting in her being cut out of the vehicle. I got word from the hotel that she is ok, and on the mend. I've told them to blame George since she was delivering flowers for his anniversary surprise!
  16. What are you doing on the forum.....you should be out polishing and waxing that car with all the tips you gathered from us!

    lake Z photos

That was something else to behold! Especially when ChrisS tried to get us young 'uns to join in
  18. Martin.....in my view you are up there with the legends! Great weekend, great company, and fun times. For those who have thanked me in the organising role, it should be noted that my involvement was purely minimal, and Martin deserves all the credit for a well organised and eventful weekend (maybe with a wee thanks to Jonathan from Z-Club too!) Jay, I dont know what was more impressive - your car, or the gravity defying hair you have. And thanks to Laura for assisting on Sunday. George, what can I say? A pleasure as always, and my liver hates you as always Stew and Jane, Great to finally meet the 2 of you. That caramel shortbread was unreal! Neil & Simon, I hope the band couldnt hear the way we were dismantiling their performance! NeilP, I'll bring ear plugs for you next time pal! Vik, We finally made it to a meet together!! I hope your car gets better soon. And to everyone else who attended, you were all fantastic, and great company. Even the weather couldnt ruin what we made of the 1st annual LakeZ. here's to 2012! On a side note, as Neil says, there were a number (large number) of folks who didnt attend despite saying otherwise. To those of you who warned us in advance, I thank you as it gives Martin a chance to adjust costings and needs. For those who simply didnt turn up......well, you could have at least mentioned on the forum that you were no longer coming. It takes all of 2 minutes to post something up, and is benefitial to those organising.
