  1. My musical taste wandered all over the place when I was younger (teenager), my dad used to play alot of Maiden, AC/DC and Priest, which I always kind of fall back too. But, the album that set me off on my main musical tastes to this date, was when I got a bootleg copy of The Special AKA - The Specials. I was 17 when I heard that album, and it set me off along my infatuation with two-tone, which later progressed into my love of pretty much anything played on the off-beat. RUDE BOYS FOR LIFE!!!
  2. Toby, upload the images to a Photobucket account, then copy the link to your post. You can add all the pics to the post that way, and we don't all need to click each individual one I think that might be on the meeting agenda!! as I dont know anything about a Photobucket account - No worries, I'll explain it all next week!

    New car

All those issues, record of only 1 service in its 5 year life, and someone who cant be arsed to fix before selling..... Run Forest, Run!!
  6. Since you are clearly too lazy to look in the "guides" section of the forum, I did it for you. viewtopic.php?f=35&t=23262
  7. The light cluster with the fog light in it, has a normal white bulb, and a Red lens fitted into the light cluster. There is a trick (documents somewhere in the guides) where you place your light cluster in the oven for a short time, making the plastic maliable enough to pull out the red lens. Then all you need is a red LED light
  8. = complete f*** on. I seem to remember this has been discussed a few times, and decided against it.

    Club discounts

Yip but they for some reason beat each other on price each year! I suppose it helps them make sure they get your cash one way or another

Entertaining since Admiral actually underwrite Elephant....
  11. I still regulalry toy with the idea of picking up an RX7 FD3. A boggo one with good compression will set back around £5k. Which isn't alot of cash for that kinda car. £10k will get you a damn nice Supra or R33 GT-R. Again, hellishly tempting. I think I will always love these cars, and I'm determined to own at least one of them one day soonish. But I dont think I could ever decide which one to pick. FTO - FWD, underpowered, f**k ugly, and generally crap (spent 2 years looking after my ex's) GTO's - Just crap.
  12. Def not a rev-up DE engine then (unless it's had a new engine fitted sometime in its life). Rev-ups available on 06-07 cars (and the GT4)
  13. Short answer - probably not. A Cat D is when it's not economical for insurance company to repair.
  14. panel clip of somesort maybe? Looks like it slides into one piece, and then another slides over the top of it.

Although it's a damned fiddly system, and lacks touch screen and Post Code entry, I found mine quite a capable system. That said, if you really don't like it, you cold remove it (and likely flog it), and install a system made by one of the traders here - NURRISH or COOKBOT. They both make different systems, have a look and see if they suit your needs.
  16. No matter how many times I correct my insurance company, they insist that I am a Royal Marine. Seemingly, their database doesnt cover Merchant Navy so they go for what they think is nearest.
  17. You should have asked him if he found VBH "hot or not".
  18. I have a coded lock box with a magnet attached. I place key in the box, then clamp to underneath of whatever car I've gone in. I generally surf at quiet locations, so there isn't anyone around to watch where I have stuck it.
  19. With my experience of cars over the years, clutches seem to be that one item that can go anytime from the moment the cars comes outta the factory, until the day it ends up at the scrappers. If you plan on trying to get warranty out of them, I suggest you do not mention the track day, as the OEM unit is not designed for such occasions, ans the dealer will clearly (possibly rightly) claim the clutch failed due to abuse. My suggestion would be to take up a case with NMGB and see if you can get them to pay a percentage of a replacement unit as a goodwill gesture.
  20. That doesn't mean that the car sold for £11.5k though............. a 53 plate car is about £8k, add a few hundred for the zorst and bodykit and a figure of about £9k is a realistic selling price imo...... Even £9k is optimistic I feel. I suppose it depends on how quickly you want to sell.
  21. *cough* spam *cough* Something to sell by any chance?.....
