Only on private land and when done by those annoying clamping companies.
The Scottish councils can clamp on public roads.
Never new that, never seen council clamping up here usually just bring a hi-ab round and lift it to the impound
Aye, in city centers especially they just lift the car - over all it's much less hassle for them. And less risk
I could be wrong, but Im almost certain that the 1992(?) court ruling where clamping was deemed illegal only applied to public land (ie car parks etc) where local cowboys are employed as traffic wardens.
