  4. viewtopic.php?f=38&t=49801 It's amazing what the search function can find
  5. I really hope they giv eyou one as a company car in Canada!
  6. You could always get yourself underneath the car and get someone else to start it and see if you can locate the source of rattle that way.
  7. I've never liked a single incarnation of the mini since its BMW rebirth. This one doesn't change that in the slightest.
  8. Does the Z34 have a chassis brace underneath? Could be the exhaust sitting a little low and rattling off that (same thing happened to me with the RX8). If this is the case, just put some washer spacers in the brace bolts.
  9. No....because the profile is a percentage of the width!!!!!! This it changes with the width. As a tyre gets wider, if the profile number remains the same the tyre height would get more and more!!!! Do you need me to draw a diagram?
  10. no.....your rear wheels and tyres are WIDER.....thus the profile percentage needs to be different to maintain the same rolling radius as the front.
  11. Rolling radius set up some cars TCS. For example when you fit 19's on a 350 you regularly have 30 v 40 profile split. The profile is a percentage of the width.
  12. Exactly what I was trying to say, in a less technical way
  13. Most zeds have different profile tyres on! infact, most RWD cars have diff profiles front to back for that matter! Thus a BMW is no different

    ECU reset?

Im feeling remarkably generous tonight so I wont have a dig, other than to say use the search function and the FAQ and the guides! This has been asked many many many many many many times. An ECU reset is not required. Although the EML may come on for a variety of reasons after fitting HFC's. The ECU reset is easier done by doing the pedal dance which take 2 minutes and doesnt wipe out your radio settings etc....which is what disconnecting the battery does. Oh, did I mention that this has been covered before?
  16. Only on private land and when done by those annoying clamping companies. The Scottish councils can clamp on public roads. Never new that, never seen council clamping up here usually just bring a hi-ab round and lift it to the impound Aye, in city centers especially they just lift the car - over all it's much less hassle for them. And less risk I could be wrong, but Im almost certain that the 1992(?) court ruling where clamping was deemed illegal only applied to public land (ie car parks etc) where local cowboys are employed as traffic wardens.
  17. Only on private land and when done by those annoying clamping companies. The Scottish councils can clamp on public roads I think
  18. without wishing to sound like I am asking a dumb question here.......but what kind of supplies are you trying to locate?.....That info may help people here answer your question better.
  19. It's down to £9250 but I am sure Jim would take £10k if you twisted his arm I have to say I had looked at his up for sale and am surprised it hasn't been snapped up yet... I'm assuming the move to Canada isn't going as swiftly as planned either. Jims move is going as planned so far as I am aware. It can take 6-12 months for a Canadian visa to be approved for residency
  20. Deleted your other thread from the 350z General section that was exactly the same as this one.
