  1. Find one moderator, administrator or meet organiser that I had met or knew prior to them becoming part of the team in the first six months after I built the forum and you can be a moderator now. I genuinely don't want to be a moderator at all. I try my hardest to help the meet organisers in scotland and the meets and runs I have done have been very successful with some of the highest turnouts scottish runs have seen. I possibly could commit to the position but I genuinely don't want to. I prefer to organise meets and get out there and do stuff. I'm not going to get into where my opinion comes from I just think the forum would benefit from a larger moderating team to deal with the online forum. I think some decisions a moderator was making recently were rash and unjust and as far as I could determine nothing could be done about this. Please PM me or another member of the team about this and we will look into your complaint.
  2. Yeah I'm not debating that at all. I just think that other people should be regularly considered to be part of the team People are regularly considered though. When a team member says they are stepping down, we assess how active the current moderating team are and whether there is need for a new mod to pick up the slack. If there is, we start a long debate to choose a new member. The debate for the position I eventually got was over 12 pages long.
  3. I did not take anything out of context. I said you both said you struggle for time. I do not struggle for time when it comes to my moderating duties and tasks on this forum (including the hours a week I have spent in negotiations with NMGB over the past 2 months). I merely do not have extra time to spend begging people to vote for me to remain a moderator. And frankly, I don't see why I should. So far as I can see it, Chris has said his piece, the team have dicussed this, and nothing is gonna change. The forum is being ran perfectly fine, and continues to go from strength to strength under the current system of management. As for your comments about the for sale threads not being approved soon enough - what's to say that if we had an entirely different moderating staff that they would get approved any quicker?
  4. me and martin specifically said we don;t have time to run a manifesto and campaign. Nothing to do with moderating. Do not take what others have said out of context please.
  5. +1 Changing jobs (again) Working 12 hours a day in my new house whilst on leave. Planning and paying for a wedding in 6 weeks. I can barely afford the time to eat never mind put a campaign together! barely time to moderate??? I'm here ain't I. That should answer your question

  7. I think to be fair and true, if you put a poll up, the team should restrict all PM's for the duration of the poll to ensure that badgering people to vote either way (by any member) is prevented.
  8. As I said earlier....we do not have a committe.
  9. Chris Ball owns this site. He started it with his own money and time. If Chris decides that we should elect mods, then we will implement elections. If Chris says he is happy with the way things are, then none of us have the right to tell him he has to change things, regardless of how popular an idea it apparantly is amongst the younger members. TBH, I don't see too much evidence to show support for or against
  10. My apologies. I misread the first post and thought you were wanted to implement a committee structure based on elections. Not just voted mods. Been a long day. After re-reading I agree with voting in REO's, but disagree with voting in moderators. As said by someone previously there is too much chance of someone rogue getting in and causing havoc.
  11. Look at it this way.... Almost every forum/club that has an elected committee is a pay for use forum. This site was founded on the basis that a previous incarnation decided to create a committee and to charge for the use of the club and it's knowledge. Would you like to see this club go that way? Charging members to use it? I certainly don't as that would go against the very reasons this place was created.

    My first 350z

I think he means Tax and Test, not Twin Turbo But as you say Vik....£4-6k aint gonna get you what you want. You might get a Cat-D at that spec for maybe around £6500.
  13. Ooops Hahaha....I am going to get Ashley to call your house phone asking for you!
  14. Lovely house Craig! I guess you're the other forum member Liam was working with! He made a **** up in an email and referred to Helen as your partners name! Completely dropped me in it
  15. He's still alive, I just booked my wedding car through him. I'll give him a prod to come check his PM's
  16. It was someone without a Zed yawning at a thread that wasn't about a Zed I had those wheels on my old Couple, i have to say i didn't love it enough to clean the wheels much..... How naive... Oh, and the forum believes in sexual equality, so should your 'couple' have wheels fitted then both of them should be cleaned.
  17. Do some reading of the Forced Induction section. Then go do a days reading on the my350z forums. I'm locking this to prevent duplication.
  18. Done some more digging... She was at the studio in March as a normal audience member but managed to wangle herself a chat with James May (who commented that she is from another planet surely). There is photgraphic evidence of her there (I wont post them up, I don't want people to feel ill). Whether this is the info that Jim got and someone has made more of it, or whether they invited her back from this initial visit I don't know.
  19. We have a Winner..... did not think it would take long Oh F*** no
  20. like your other thread regarding Z32's I have moved this to "other cars" Please keep them in here, as the media section is actually still part of the 350/370 forums. Nice Slicky though.
  21. The B&Q cheapo humane traps are rarely very effctive I'm afraid. I've worked on a ship that was infested, and we tried everything. Best we found was a typical mouse trap with a bit of mars bar as bait.
  22. I would estimate between £600-800 depending on how much of the exhaust you were replacing and whether you went True Dual. Contact Stew at AAS and he'll email you an estimate.
  23. Looked into the Masons a few years ago and decided it was too expensive, and generally too long winded. Joined the Round Table instead.
