  1. Put a link up to the sale ad. Please do not use full reg plate numbers on the open forum.
  2. You gonna keep it now then? Good looking wheels, really suit. Now get it slammed!

    Car shaking

Lost a wheel weight? Incorrectly balanced in the first place? All bolts not torqued up correctly? Buckled Wheel? Incorrect Geo Set-up?

I disagree with this. If you can afford monthly payments, then you can afford the car. My arguement is based on buying a car for that price, when you could have a better one for the same price. I have bought 4 cars on finance, all spread over 4 years. Although granted, I negotiated 0%-2% interest on them all.
  5. You say this after saying you want a Merc?! I have 3 friends who own them, 2 C Class, 1 E Class. All have spent extensive time in the dealers getting recurring electrical issues sorted (or not sorted in one case).

I'm gonna be a little rude here so I apologise. If you buy a 2007 DE engined car, when you can have a HR for the same (or a few hundred more) then you are a complete idiot. Think how many of us are telling you this.....when it comes time for you to sell and someone else is looking at your 2007 DE car we will be telling him the same. That alone should make you think what the hell are you doing.
  7. Congrats! I certainly feel your pain. I was all set to go down and view a Z32 a few months back, train tickets booked etc. I knew my wife was pregnant, but we reckoned we could work around it. Then we discovered we're having twins. Do'h. Currently looking at sports saloons. Current top of the board is a Vauxhall Insignia VXR. Though I am sorely tempted to go buy back my VXR8 as I notice it's for sale....

50 months?!?! Low mileage or not, do realise your paying around 13K for one that isnt even a HR? Personally I wouldnt even pay more than 11k for a HR. It's alot of money for a DE. I'm about half hour away, but wouldnt be able to get up to Newcastle until Saturday anyway.

    Heart Broken!!!

Simply shocking. Worryingly, a few pics down you can see their "3 pinpricks". Christ, they look like drill holes!

I can possibly take a trundle up to Newcastle to view it for you later in the week if he wont transfer it to Carlisle for you. You got a link?
  11. Weekend get-away for the Father-in-laws 65th. Me and the wife visit London quite regular.
  12. Spotted going past Imperial War Museum around 1330
  13. I'm with Dan. I just use the flat type and find a suitable place to locate them. The ones I have used to be fine on the Zeds standard jacking points. I've had them for 10 years or so and can't remember where I bought them.
  14. I truly hang my head in despair when we get members on here saying they would take their pride and joy to a Dealer rather than an independant "because they are always better and know more" Further proof if ever it was needed right here. I'm betting if they quoted you aruond £150-200 for the work you may have gave them the go ahead. I have had arguements with various dealers over this exact practice. My Zed went into an EH dealership for a warranty issue. They told me it required full pads and discs all round, as well as having a blowing exhaust. The car had less than 5k on the clock at the time I had it out with the warranty manager there and then and asked him to come look at my car and show me exactly why they needed replacing an where my exhaust was blowing. He declined repeatedly just saying "Our trained mechanic this..." and "our specialised mechanic that" really really boils my pi$$ that they can still get away with treating customers like this.

Do you want genuine or replica? Alex may have some import rear bumpers kicking around. RTPerformance have a selection of replica kits they have developed themselves.
  16. You can do it by loosening off the wheel arch liner and sliding your hand in with a stubby screwdriver. BUT be prepared to lose the skin from your knuckles if you do it this way. As Alex says, it's much easier to take the bumper off.
  17. Ouch. But....you were told where to get them from instead of Nissan
  18. Infinity. I was using the 40GB package at my last place, and because I work away 2 weeks at a time I never got anywhere near the cap, and it costs next to nothing a month. I've only moved to the other side of a main road, and they haven't activated it here yet another 2 months at least"
  19. Maybe not the kit.....but deff the 7l C5R Corvette motor that's in that thing!
  20. It was the bane of my life when I had the Pug coupe. It got to the point with mine where I ended up dismantling the exhaust to get at it and pressure washing it out. Lasted 4 months. Removed it in the end, and reprogrammed the ECU to get rid of the CEL it threw up because it wasn't there.
